2. NBA player delivered his own baby!
Cleveland Cavaliers Iman Shumpert helped deliver his own baby daughter. His fiancé R&B artist Teyana Taylor didn't know she was in labor, not until she felt her baby's head coming out. The baby was supposedly due in mid-January. Teyana delivered her baby in the bathroom, with an emergency operator talking to Shumpert all throughout the process via earphones. "It took two 10 count pushes with my fiancé playing doctor and she entered this world into his bare hands," Taylor said in her Instagram post. Congratulations! (people.com)

5. Helping others really help you in return
A new study published in the Clinical Psychological Science found that acts of kindness to others--no matter how small--helps improve one's outlook in life. These good-Samaritan acts can also help one better deal with stress. The study also suggests that pro-social behavior, doing good for others, could be used as a treatment for depression or chronic stress. “Stressful days usually lead us to have a worse mood and poorer mental health, but our findings suggest that if we do small things for others, such as holding a door open for someone, we won’t feel as poorly on stressful days,” explains researcher Emily Ansell via a press release. And when better to start this positive habit than this holiday season, right? (yahoo.com)ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
