2. Anne Hathaway finally confirms pregnancy with a bikini photo
The Oscar-award winning actress finally confirmed that she and husband Adam Shulman are expecting their first child—and she did so with a bang! Anne Hathaway, who was hush-hush about her bun in the oven, proudly showed off her baby bump while wearing nothing but a red bikini by the beach via her Instagram. "So, posting a bikini pic is a little out of character for me, but just now while I was at the beach I noticed I was being photographed. I figure if this kind of photo is going to be out in the world it should at least be an image that makes me happy (and be one that was taken with my consent. And with a filter," part of her caption read. Take that, paparazzis! (people.com)ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOWCONTINUE READING BELOWRecommended Videos
3. Sweden implements 6-hour work days
The reason behind the shift: to increase productivity and make people happier! Companies, including retirement homes, hospitals and car centers, have made the change. The rationale behind the 6-hour work day is that people get more work done in a shorter period of time — since working for eight hours takes a lot more focus and effort — and have the rest of the day to spend with their families. According to a recent study, people who clock up a 55-hour week have a greater risk of having a stroke than those who maintain a 35- to 40-hour week. In essence, Sweden also has its population's health in mind. (independent.co.uk)
