Last Saturday, September 3, an intimate baby shower was held for the TV host. Mariel's siter Kaye Garcia styled the event, which was inspired by the theme/hashtag #BabyMozartAngel. Design elements consisted of Japanese lanterns, flowers, musical notes, and angels' wings as accents. Mariel said it's "the baby shower of her dreams." It was also the day Mariel and Robin announced the name they've chosen for their daughter, which is Maria Isabella. "I did not have a debut or a wedding reception but this moment... this is the moment that I have been waiting for. When I close one chapter of my life and open a new one... my smilestone... welcoming me to motherhood," Mariel wrote as caption for one of the photos she posted on Instagram. 2. Watch: Zia Dantes shows off her new tricks!

Kapuso actor Dingdong Dantes took to Instagram to show off his little girl's new tricks! The video shows his wife Marian Rivera carrying Zia on a playground seesaw. The mom asked Baby Zia to show her mad face -- she obeys, and it's so cute! Zia also demonstrated how she "blesses" or pays respect to her mom. Zia also showed how she could make playful sounds with her hand on her mouth. In another photo, Dingdong is shown wearing headband ears while baby Zia wears a dog costume. "Who says play school is only for the young?" he wrote as caption.

"This is @scarletsnowbelo first time to climb the stairs with zero help, just by holding the bannister. My sister Karen's house is all rug so I feel safe to let her try," mom Dr. Vicki Belo wrote as caption to the Instagram video she posted. When it comes to going down the stairs, though, she might need a little bit of help from her dad Hayden Kho. She tried a few steps down the stairs but then called for her dad. Vicki wrote as caption: "She's so sweet when she feels a bit unsure she calls for her daddy.:" Awww. More practice, Scarlet!


4. FDA bans anti-bacterial soaps, says they cause more harm than good
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a new rule on Friday, September 2 regarding over-the-counter consumer antiseptic products containing one or more of the 19 specific active ingredients. Evidence has shown that the commonly-used triclosan (in liquid soaps) and triclocarbon (in bar soaps) can be harmful to hormone levels and may contribute to drug resistance in bacteria. "Consumers may think antibacterial washes are more effective at preventing the spread of germs, but we have no scientific evidence that they are any better than plain soap or water," Dr. Janet Woodcock, the director of the FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, said in a statement. Products that contain triclosan and triclocarbon are now being phased out and companies have one year to comply to the rule. Exceptions to the new rule are hand sanitizers or wipes and antibacterial products used in healthcare settings. (fda.gov)


5. Nick and Vanessa Lachey expecting third child!

Former 98 Degrees band member Nick Lachey and his wife Vanessa are expecting their third child! The couple announced it the cutest way possible by posting a family photo on their Instagram accounts. "We got a new crib! Now we need a new crib!" the headline reads. "Newest Lachey arriving Spring 2017," it said. Their captions both read, "#LacheyPartyOf5... and Wookie!" referring to the furry family member. Nick and Vanessa are already parents to their son Camden John, turning 4 this month, and daughter Brooklyn Elisabeth, 20 months. Congratulations! (people.com)
