Mom-to-be Paula Peralejo-Fernandez had her second baby shower, courtesy of her big sis Rica Peralejo-Bonifacio, last Friday, September 16. Paula said both she and her husband are birders, so her sister went with a birdwatching theme. The intimate forest + birding-themed baby shower was held at Mateo's Restaurant and was styled by Flora and Fern Styling Company. Paula wrote on her blog, "In our wedding, we made sure the materials in our guest tables were all recyclable and could mostly be taken home by our guests. Love that they followed this principle by putting something that goes with the theme but are also edible! Many of the eggs were cooked so my nephew and some guests actually ate them!' The cake was made by Miss Butter Cream, giveaway throw pillows were by Insta Mug, and photos were by Jaimie and Baby Lifestyle Photography." Read more about the baby shower here. (pep.ph

The 38-year-old actress finally confirmed that she is expecting her first child with fiancé Trevor Magallanes. She had spotting on her second month, was admitted in a hospital for four days, and often feels exhausted. "Kasi nga tumakbo ako. Hindi ko naman alam na bawal gumalaw pag buntis ka," she said, adding that her doctor advised her to take it easy. "Kailangan lahat dahan-dahan lang. Hindi ka na nga puwede yumuko basta, e. Kailangan may poise na," Rufa Mae quipped. She stressed, however, that she's excited to be a mom and says it's a blessing. "Ito yung moment na araw-araw wala kang emptiness ever. Kasi parang alam mo na may kasama ka lumaki, e. Kahit na mawalan ka nang gagawin, kayong dalawa lang, puwede mo siya kausapin, 'Hello there, anak!'" (pep.ph)

Finally, the video of Scarlet Snow Belo walking down the aisle as a flower girl on her Ate Cristalle Belo and Kuya Justin Pitt's wedding is out. Her mom Vicki Belo explains: "[Scarlet Snow] made the walk without the basket of flowers because every time we'd give it to her she would sit down and start throwing the petals. Then when she'd walk people would clap and she'd get gulat and run back. But, finally she made it." She's just too cute! As a bonus, she also made sure her dad Hayden Kho's tie was perfect during their photo op. Good job, Scarlet!

    5. "Sit With Us" app aims to help kids make new friends during lunch

The new "Sit With Us" app allows students to designate themselves as "ambassadors," and invite others to join them on their table during lunch at the cafeteria. The app is the brainchild of 16-year-old Natalie Hampton from Sherman Oaks, California, and inspired by her own personal experiences. She says she ate alone during her entire seventh grade year and felt vulnerable and made her a target for bullying. Natalie, who has since been thriving in school socially, felt the app was necessary to prevent kids from being publicly rejected and being considered social outcasts by their peers. "This way it’s very private. It’s through the phone. No one else has to know. And you know that you’re not going to be rejected once you get to the table," she says. (huffingtonpost.com
