  • 1. James Yap and Italian girlfriend are expecting their first child

    The pro-baller and his Italian girlfriend Michela Cazzola are pregnant with their first child. Michela confirmed to entertainment columnist Ricky Lo that she's currently on her fourth month going on her fifth month of pregnancy. The news was released via Lo's column in the Philippine Star yesterday, February 25. Michela is due to give birth later this year and plans to do so here in the country. The two have been dating since 2012. This is going to be the third baby for James who’s already dad to Bimby with Kris Aquino, and another child from a previous relationship. Congratulations!     2. Mark Zuckerberg is a pro at nappy changing
    Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg boasts that he can change a nappy in 20 seconds. The competitive dad who times himself to get better at changing nappies shares his tip: "The trick is to slide the new diaper under the old one," he said. It was only last November, when his daughter Baby Max was born, that Mark had a hands-on experience in childcare. He took a two-month paternity leave to focus on being a dad and helping his wife Priscilla in caring for their daughter. (gmanetwork.com)

    3. Lego introduces stay-at-home dad figure!


    The Danish toy company launched a new figure: a hipster dad complete with baby bottle and stroller. Lego produced the modern family set-up--hipster dad, baby in a pram, and working mom--as part of its new 'Lego City' line, which also includes a child in a wheelchair accompanied by an assistance dog (unveiled earlier this month). These new figures are Lego's attempt to fully represent the world today. (dailymail.co.uk)

    4. Disney also celebrated #EDSA30

    The official Facebook account of Walt Disney Studio posted a video honoring the day when "mammals from all walks of life came together to stand for freedom." This is in reference to the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution using the backdrop of the studio's newest animated film offering Zootopia, now showing in cinemas nationwide. It also posted a photo with the hashtag #EDSA30 with the caption. "Celebrating 30 years of EDSA Day today!"

    5. HPV vaccine is effective
    The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently released new findings that show children greatly benefit from receiving HPV immunization. The study, which was published in the journal Pediatrics, reports that there have been 64 percent less cases of teen girls becoming infected with HPV and a decline in cases of genital warts over the last decade, thanks to the vaccine. The CDC suggests that girls and boys get the vaccine to be protected from the potentially cancer-causing disease. (popsugar.com)
