Model, lifestyle blogger, and former Smart Parenting cover mom Kelly Misa and husband Carlos Fernandez welcomed their first child, son Tristan Antonio today. She took to Instagram to announce the news: “Hello Tristan!!! I am so happy to finally meet you. #tristanantonio,” she wrote as a caption to the very first public photo of her newborn. The new-mom had prepared for motherhood, including breastfeeding: "I’m learning. I’ve attended a breastfeeding class. I really want to do it,” she said in an interview with SP. Her husband was also so excited he bought a sling for himself and his own diaper bag. Congratulations!
2. Rhian Ramos considers freezing her eggs
Actress Rhian Ramos is looking to freeze her eggs because she feels that marriages, pregnancy and motherhood will come to her later in life. Even though she’s happy in a relationship with non-showbiz boyfriend Jason Choachuy, she plans to get married at 30 to 35 years old, a long six to 11 years from now. 3. Chris Brown files paternity documents for daughter
Being a father might be all the better for the rapper-singer Chris Brown. He recently filed papers to establish paternity of his daughter, Royalty. In an interview with Ryan Seacrest in June, he said, "For me, there comes a time where people have to grow up and start becoming more of an adult and taking responsibility, and I think this was just a blessing in disguise with my daughter.” Royalty’s mom has been making it difficult for Chris to see his daughter and is demanding more money. 4. Extracurricular sports may help boost child’s academics
A new study suggests that kids’ attention span and level of self-control are better if they participated in organized after-school sports. Sports may help them develop a discipline they need to succeed in the classroom, according to the study, which closely followed nearly 2,700 children born in Quebec, Canada in 1997 or 1998. By the time they’re in fourth grades, those who played structured sports were better at following instructions and remaining focused in the classroom. 5. Cuba first country to eliminate mother-to-child HIV transmission
The World Health Organization (WHO) announced that Cuba is the very first country to eliminate the prenatal transmission of HIV and Syphilis. Back in 2013, only two babies were born with HIV in the country, a result of a five0year program by the WHO and the Pan American Health Organization.
