    5. NPC urges parents to be more online savvy than kids
The National Privacy Commission (NPC) urges parents to improve their digital literacy, so that they could be role models for their kids' social media use and, if need be, protect their children from online dangers, such as criminals who are using social media for their illegal deed. Acero's suggestions were made following the death of a 17-year-old girl whose body was found in Cavite after meeting with a man she met through Facebook. He further suggests to refrain from revealing personal information about oneself, and encourages to use different passwords across social media platforms and change them often. (gmanetwork.com)
