Rica Peralejo's recent miscarriage and sixth wedding anniversary has had her reflecting on the marriage vows she made with husband Joseph Bonifacio. On her blog post, she wrote: “I realized traditional vows have been there forever for a reason. Because when it boiled down to a matter of life and death, I didn’t think about how I learned to cook eggs for my husband, how I am a firm believer of his leadership, or how he has pursued me everyday of my life, no, the only thing I thought about was having and holding Joseph for as long as I am actually allowed to live.” (pep.ph)
2. Jennifer Garner dishes honest parenting advice
The Hollywood A-list and mom of three recently doled out parenting advice when she guested on "Late Nigh with Seth Meyers." Seth is due to be a new first-time dad soon, and he asked the “Miracle from Heaven” star for some advice. Jennifer kept it real: “As much as you think that, ‘Okay, I’m going to follow what this person says, I’m going to follow what that person says, I’m going to read this book and I’m going to have this birth plan. It’s not up to you, dude. I did it all, but it doesn’t matter. Let it go, don’t worry about it,” she said. “You’re going to struggle. It’s going to suck just like for everyone else,” she added. President Benigno Aquino III led the switch-on ceremony of a 63.6-megawatt solar farm in Calatagan, Batangas. It’s the first solar farm built by Solar Philippines, a Filipino-owned company. "This project will be a great contribution to the emission reduction and job generation efforts of the government,” PNoy said. The solar farm has already exceeded the energy target set over a year ago. Solar energy is cheaper than diesel and natural gas, and soon. cheaper than coal, too, said Leandro Leviste, president of Solar Philippines. He also attributed the country’s shift to renewable energy to Aquino’s “visionary leadership.” (gmanetwork.com)
4. New trailer: The Legend of Tarzan
The live-action remake of the classic story of the King of the Jungle looks to be both with heart and with thrills. We see the origin story of Tarzan, played by Alexander Skarsgard, and his return to the civilized world, not as Tarzan but as John Cayton III, Lord Greystoke, with his wife Jane, played by Margot Robbie. It seems like Tarzan needs to get in touch with his wild side again to fight the greedy Captain Leon Rom, played by Christophe Waltz. (eonline.com)
