In a post that almost every working mother would be able to relate to, singer and Poor Señorita actress Regine Velasquez, who recently celebrated her birthday, shared a sweet moment between her and her five-year-old son Nate on Instagram. “So I came home last night tired and hungry. Nate was still awake, pagdating ko he was so happy to see me and started making kwento,” she wrote as caption of a family photo she posted on Instagram. Over dinner, Nate asked if he could watch Disney Channel and while eating and watching TV, the five-year-old said to his mom: ‘Mom I love watching Disney Channel… I love it, Mommy, coz it reminds me of you’. Regine explained that when she isn’t working, they always watch it together. “Parang natunaw talaga ako he is just so sweet... Mahirap talaga to be a working mom. Pero sa bawat pagod na nararamdaman ko nawawala lahat pag nakita ko na sya and always so happy to see me. Hay I love being a mom,” said Regine. (gmanetwork.com)

The second trailer of the sequel to the Will Smith hit alien doomsday movie Independence Day was released last weekend. It surely packs a lot of action and we get a glimpse of how several characters—returning and new ones—and their stories fit into the big picture. The aliens send a distress signal and they’re coming back to Earth to avenge their kind. Of course, humans will not just let them do that. "Independence Day: Resurgence" is not just a sequel; it looks to be a thrilling invasion and “defend your home” story on its own. The movie opens in theaters in June. (forbes.com)
4. Pinoy student wins NASA’s engineering design contestStudent Jose Mari Tuason, a Filipino taking up aerospace engineering in the U.S., won the very first National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Breakthrough, Innovative, and Game-changing (BIG) Idea Challenge. Together with his teammates from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, they designed a way to help NASA land heavier payloads with greater accuracy on space missions. Their design idea was said to be one of the markers of successes in future space exploration projects. Tuason is the only Filipino in the team and belongs to the Xavier School Class of 2010. 5. Glee’s Jayma Mays is going to be a mom!
Former Glee star Jayma Mays and her husband Adam Campbell are expecting their first child. The two have been married for ten years and this upcoming new addition will be much awaited. The two met in 2006 on the set of the spoof film Epic Movie and got married in October the following year. Mays revealed in an earlier interview that they have kept their spark alive by continuing to do little things for each other. “He makes me coffee every single morning, which I could not live without, so every morning I feel so lucky, and I thank him every days!” she said to E News!
