The mom-to-be recently had her first prenatal checkup and ultrasound in the U.S. "It was a biophysical ultrasound wherein Isabella was supposed to do a series of movements within 30 minutes. My angel did all and more under 10 minutes. Momma was so proud!" Mariel wrote as caption to her Instagram post. She also thanked her aunt for accompanying her. 3. DOH confirms 3 new Zika cases
The three new cases are all female patients who manifested symptoms, particularly rashes, fever, and joint pains. Two of the patients are from Iloilo and one is from Antipolo City. "We now have 15 confirmed cases out of 264 suspected Zika virus cases reported nationwide from January 1 to October 4," said Department of Health Secretary Paulyn Ubial. Of the 15, 11 are female, including one 20-week-pregnant woman from Cebu. Ubial had said that they are monitoring the baby on a weekly basis and so far, they have found no signs of congenital or central nervous system defects on the fetus. Zika has been linked to cause microcephaly, a congenital neurological defect on newborn babies born to mothers who contracted the illness. (inquirer.net)

    4. YouTube Kids now available in PH

    watch now

It's finally here! The YouTube Kids app can now help Filipino parents streamline video content on YouTube that's kid- and family-friendly. It also makes it easier -- and safer -- for kids to find videos on topics that they want to explore, and browse channels and playlists in four categories: Shows, Music, Learning, and Explore. The YouTube Kids app has password-protected parental controls which allow you to tweak the settings, depending on how broadly you'd allow your kids to explore, as well as tag videos that you think are inappropriate. The app also has settings that let you set a time limit for watching videos, and turn off background or special effects sounds. YouTube Kids is now available to download for free on Google Play and the App Store.
