1. Hayden Kho gives Scarlet Snow her first lessons on healthy eating
She's not even two yet but she can already pronounce the names of different vegetables. In a video posted on Instagram, her dad Hayden Kho is seen teaching her about vegetables--and she amazingly identifies them correctly. "I'm learning food classes today with Daddy. We start with my favorite: veggies! Tomorrow is fruits with mommy! Can't wait for the lesson on sweets!" the caption read. Good job, Scarlet! A previous Instagram post shows her and her dad having fun picking peaches in a farm. That's how you teach kids about good food.

The fast food giant's popular kiddie offering is having a makeover. Since March, McDonald's has been testing a new McNuggets formula -- one with less artificial preservatives -- in 140 locations in the U.S. The change to healthier food recipes is in line with the company's mission to win back customers who now favor healthy foods. McDonalds has also switched to butter from margarine for their Egg McMuffins, stopped using chickens raised with human antibiotics, and more. It even added healthy veggies kale and spinach to its salads. We hope our own McDonald's here follows suit. (mashable.com)
5. Channing Tatum will play a merman in Disney remake
No, not a remake of the fairytale The Little Mermaid, but of Splash! The 1984 movie tells the story about a young man Allen, played by Tom Hanks, who was reunited with a mermaid named Madison, played by Daryl Hannah, who saved him from drowning when he was just a boy. For the remake, however, the gender roles are going to be switched. Channing plays a male version of Madison, while his co-star Jillian Bell (22nd Jump Street) will play a female version of Allen. The movie is still in the early stages of development, but writer Marja-Lewis Ryan is on board while Ron Howard and Brian Grazer, producer and director of the original film, are set to produce.
