Yesterday, October 25, Paula Peralejo and husband Charlie Fernandez welcomed their first child, a baby boy they named Pablo, at the Cardinal Santos Medical Center in San Juan City. Paula's sister Rica Peralejo-Bonifacio posted a photo of her nephew and described baby Pablo as a "calm boy, overstayer in momma's tummy, cries little, very, very handsome," in the caption. In another post, Rica shared that Paula "labored despite some minor issues" before finally giving birth via normal delivery. "Of knowing that this woman is not only an amazing sister, superb wife, but now, also a hero mom," Rica wrote, adding that Paula is a woman reborn, as "a mom who will do everything to give the best for her baby. Love my sister very much and I am so so proud of her. Pablo is a blessed baby to be given a momma like you," she added. Congratulations, Paula and Charlie! (pep.ph)

The actress and mom of two shared her secret to moving on from a failed marriage when she guested on GMA 7's morning lifestyle show Sarap Diva. "It's a little unfortunate, pero sabi ko nga, hindi naman natin kailangan mag-dwell sa bad. If my story serves as an inspiration to them, then let it be. In spite of the ugly story, we can all change that. We have the power to change that and empower all women out there to stand for their rights," Sunshine said. Her secret? Getting rid of the negative and refocusing on the good -- and it appears that Sunshine's formula is working. She was recognized as Best Supporting Actress at the recently-held PMPC Star Awards. Her son Tonyboy tagged along when she accepted the award onstage. So cute! (gmanetwork.com)
3. Bill filed to give additional benefits to solo parents
House Bill No. 1520, proposed by former president and now house deputy speaker Gloria Macapagal Aroyo, seeks to amend Republic Act 8972 or the Solo Parents Welfare Act of 2000. It seeks to consider a solo parent eligible for benefits when his/her spouse has not been employed or has suffered from a disability for at least six months. The proposed bill also wants to give solo parents discounts to certain baby supplies such as children's clothing materials (10%), baby's milk and food supplements that are purchased within the first two years of the child (15%) and medical supplements used by children aged five years old and below (15%). Since a solo parent needs to secure a Solo Parent I.D. to avail of the benefits, the bill also seeks to cut down the waiting time for a solo parent to be eligible to just six months, instead of a year. The mom of three took to Instagram to update her followers on her fourth pregnancy. Gladys posted a video of her prenatal checkup, where her husband Christopher Roxas (real name Christopher Sommereux) and their bunso Grant are seen listening to the doctor explain the ultrasound results. Looks like Grant is excited to become a kuya, although he doesn't seem to understand what he is seeing in the sonogram. "Thank you Lord for today and good result of my ultrasound," Gladys wrote as caption to a photo of the three of them. Don't worry, Grant, you'll see your little brother or sister soon.
5. Watch the full trailer of Gilmore Girls revival
Our favorite '90s mother-and-daughter duo are really back -- and watching the trailer feels very nostalgic and yet, also new. It's been a decade since we last saw Lorelai (played by Lauren Graham) and Rory (played by Alexis Bledel) onscreen, and it looks like the new Netflix four-part series revival will focus not just on their relationship as mom and daughter, but also their relationship with Lorelai's mom Emily. That's three generations of women in different stages of their life. Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life premieres on Netflix on November 25. (eonline.com)ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
