1. Zion meets, kisses Scarlet Snow!
On May 21, actress Sarah Lahbati posted on Instagram a video of her son Zion meeting Vicki and Hayden's daughter Scarlet Snow for the first time. 2. Duterte wants to impose a three-child policy
Talking to reporters on Sunday, May 22, presumptive Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte expressed his intention to implement a three-child policy, which will "probably" form part of a family planning program under his administration. This is just one of the policies that the tough-talking Mayor has been vocal about. He has already mentioned that he wants to revive the death penalty, and enforce a nationwide curfew for minors and a liquor and smoking ban in public areas once he assumes the presidency on June 30. 3. Jaclyn Jose wins Best Actress in Cannes!
Yes, you read that right. Her daughter Andi Eigenmann may have been included in Cannes' best-dressed list, but veteran Filipino actress Jaclyn Jose was the biggest winner as she was named Best Actress at the 69th Cannes Film Festival for her role in the Brilliante Mendoza film Ma' Rosa. A very surprised and emotional Jaclyn thanked Cannes and the jury, her director, and shared her award with Andi who was with her on stage along with Mendoza. "I would also like to share this recognition to all the Filipinos who are here now... to my countrymen, to the Philippines," she added. (pep.ph)
4. Mariel Padilla is three months pregnant!
The It's Showtime host happily anounced the she and husband Robin Padilla are expecting their first child. Mariel Padilla said on the show last Saturday that she is now three months pregnant. "Ang laki ng naging part ninyo sa naging journey ko because simula nung pumasok ako sa Showtime, naging relaxed ako, hindi ako na-pressure, mas naging masaya ako. And I think because of this, totoo talaga yung sinasabi nila that everything happens in God’s time," she added. Robin also joined her on the show. French-Filipina actress Solenn Heussaff and Nico Bolzico officially tied the knot last Saturday, May 21, at the Eglise Notre Dame de Combourg in France. The reception was held at the scenic Chateau du Grand Val. Back in December, Solenn and Nico formalized their intentions to wed via a celebration of union ceremony in Argentina. Solenn's wedding gown was made by Israeli couturier Lihi Hod.
