Aga and Charlene Share Never-Before-Seen Home Videos of the TwinsThe couple has always been fiercely protective of their privacy, so this was preciousby Rachel Perez .
As soon as we thought fast food companies have run out of the nostalgia they serve through their commercials, we get another one, and, wow, this one was precious.
In February, Jollibee made us feel old with its commercial that featured Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzalez's twins Andres and Atasha. It had scenes from their very first commercial when the kids were just 4 years old. It was also the month that marked the twins' first press conference, a big step for dad Aga who strictly shielded his kids from the showbiz spotlight.
This time, Jollibee is sending us to a trip down memory lane — and it's even more personal and intimate than the first one. The new Muhlach family ad contains private home videos of Atasha and Andres growing up
Charlene, in a post on Instagram, shared that this commercial was extra special for her and Aga. "We shared our private home videos for the first time of our children growing up before our eyes," she wrote.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
First, you see the 16-year-old twins all grown up, hanging out with their friends, while their parents are home looking at videos of the children growing up. It is during this video montage that you see the twins as wide-eyed, chubby-cheeked toddlers. (It's okay if you find yourself tearing up this early into watching the ad, specifically when Charlene places her hand on her heart.)
The ad also featured a clip where Andres and Atasha were jamming together playing music. Andres even warned his parents not to laugh or show the clip to anyone. Then, you saw Andres lifting a barbell, and Atasha playing basketball with her dad.
"Ang sarap makita kung paano sila lumaki, ano? Kung paano sila naging sila ngayon. At kung paano all these years they always put family first," Aga says in a voiceover. "Kasi pinalaki natin sila na family first," Charlene replies. “Our family will always be our greatest joy,” he adds.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
Then, the twins arrive home earlier than expected with pasalubong, of course. "Wala talaga katulad ang saya tuwing kasama ang pamilya," Aga says via voiceover.
Well done, Jollibee.
