Wendy Valdez Shares Emotional Moment as Seth Says “Baka Hindi Na Ako Gagaling”

Celebrity mom and former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Wendy Valdez shared an emotional update about her son Seth after a frightening health scare during his recovery from a major operation. Seth, her eldest son, was born with spina bifida.
In a social media post, Wendy recalled a heartbreaking moment when the eight-year-old tearfully whispered words no parent ever wants to hear.
“The other night, Seth cried and whispered, ‘Mommy, baka hindi na ako gagaling,’” Wendy shared, admitting she fought back tears until her son had fallen asleep.
According to the actress, Seth had been suffering from intense dizziness and repeated vomiting, leaving him weak and unable to sleep.
At one point, he reportedly told his mother: “Mommy, hilo… I’m weak… Kahit gusto ko makatulog, hindi ako makatulog sa hilo.”
Wendy said she stayed by his side throughout the night, comforting him while praying for wisdom and healing. “I held him, rubbed his hair, and kept whispering prayers over him,” she wrote.
The actress also shared that she closely monitored Seth’s medications after sensing that one might have been contributing to his discomfort. After asking doctors about the medicines administered, Wendy said she requested that paracetamol be stopped unless necessary.
According to Wendy, Seth’s condition improved afterward.
“No more dizziness. No more vomiting,” she shared, adding that her once-quiet and weak son eventually became playful and energetic again.
Now recovering, Seth spends his days watching Superbook and Marvel movies, singing praise and worship songs with his family.
Seth Has Been Battling Spina Bifida Since Birth
Wendy has long been open about Seth’s health journey. Her son was born with spina bifida, a condition that affects the spine and spinal cord, and has undergone several medical procedures over the years.
Recently, Wendy revealed that Seth successfully underwent another major operation, with the actress expressing gratitude for prayers and support as her son continues to recover. Wendy is married to Normann Garcia, and they have two sons, Seth and Judah.
