  • Thanks to the cool weather we're currently enjoying in Metro Manila, summer is still far from our minds. CNN Philippines reports that the cold weather is brought about by the northeast monsoon or hanging amihan coming from mainland Asia, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

However, we may soon have to bid this cold weather goodbye as the agency also said that it may only last until the third week of February — which ends in a few days! Pretty soon we may have to ditch the sweaters and bring out the pamaypay.

However, if you're excited and can't wait to see your baby wear that cute swimsuit you got for her, there's no reason you can't have summer sooner. Here are 5 hotel staycation deals that won't require you to travel far or spend a lot.

Note: All prices quoted are local residents' rates inclusive of taxes. Information was obtained from the respective hotels' websites. As a general rule, kids below 12 years old stay for free with their adult companions.
