Always On-the-Go Parents Want These New Travel EssentialsBoth new products designed with safety, comfort, and convenience for both parents and kids.by Rachel Perez .
We all know how traveling with babies and kids often feels like you are packing the whole house. Our mindset is we need to be prepared for any unplanned incidents, thus we have several luggages. No matter how much we prepare, though, two situations almost always trip us and make us feel like we have to go commando: on-the-go diaper changing and comfortable sleeping space for kids in planes. Thankfully, there are now options so our kids don't suffer anymore. To the geniuses behind the innovations below, we thank you in behalf of all parents.
It's a portable changing table, yes, which comes in very handy when you are at airports and establishments that do not have specific changing areas for parents and babies. Certainly, most men's bathrooms don't have them.
Baby Change-N-Go ticks all the boxes every parent needs a portable changing station to be: it's safe, clean, light, portable, and compact. It's easy to clean -- just with warm water, gentle soap and wash cloth or a disinfectant cloth. It even has pockets for diapers, wipes, extra clothes or shoes, and folds into the size of a magazine that can easily fit in any diaper bag. Plus, Baby Change-N-Go is made with BPA-free, lead-free and phthalates-free. Moms behind it, Mahnaz Mooza and Brenda Lee Moosa, designed it with fellow parents in mind.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
This hammock-like travel essential (we're already calling it) is made from strong durable material that can hold infants and tots up to 40 pounds (around two to two-and-a-half-year-old kid can use it), and specifically designed for public bathroom stall doors or walls no higher than 75-inches tall. While the company set the weight limit at 40 pounds, the metal hooks have been load tested for over 100 pounds and the polyester straps boast a 1,500-pound break strength. Still, while the Baby Change-N-Go is built with safety in mind, it's never advisable to leave your baby unattended on it.

Babies and tots have trouble sleeping in limited spaces or while sitting up right. And when your kid does not get a good shut-eye, they tend to be cranky, which no one wants when you're high up in the air with more than 200 people hoping to get some sleep. JetKids BedBox aims to solve that problem.
Developed by Cristina and Halvor Holmgren, a former aircraft engineer and airline captain, respectively, they are all too familiar with the challenge of traveling with babies and kids on a plane. Their innovation is a portable in-flight bed and ride-on suitcase that is roomy enough to hold a child's basic belongings like clothes, books, and toys. They can easily pull or ride on it while at the airport. On a plane, the JetKids BedBox turns into a bed (for kids ages 1 to 4), while older kids (up to age 7) can use it as a leg rest.CONTINUE READING BELOWRecommended Videos
The Holmgrens designed the JetKids BedBox with safety, comfort, and convenience in mind. It’s strong enough to safely accommodate kids up to 35 kilograms and has a washable mattress. It's easy to install and is universal, which means it can fit almost every airplane seat and type, but preferably window seats (so your tot's sleep is not disturbed). However, you can only use unfold it into a bed when the seatbelt sign has been turned off. For safety purposes, it's not to be used during take-off, landing, or when the plane is experiencing turbulence.
