Hi to all the mommies out there! This might be a little weird and I might be the only Dad here. I'm a single parent and I need help looking for a good school for my 3-Year old son. I'm looking for a non-conventional type of teaching. I hope you could help out. Thanks!

@vanenie:

Maganda naman sis, may books sila, at the same time may mga arts and craft din. Mayroon ding playroom day. Maximum 10 students per class sila. By the end of Kinder 1, somehow nakakapag CVC na yun ibang kids. More arts and craft, music movement, minsan naisisingit yun mga letters. Hehe

@mhernandez1129:

Welcome to SP Forum! San po location nyo? You may back read sa thread na to. Mostly naman ng preschools naipost na. I think, yun mga nasa The Fort lang ang wala dito.

Hello Moms,

Like mhernandez1129, it's also a bit odd for me to be here.
I'm just following orders since  I'm the one whose been sitting in front of the computer for atleast 10 hours a day  ;).

I have a son whose turning 4 next school year and we are I'll be looking forward to enroll him this coming summer.
ATLS will be the front runner based on the location though I will need updated feedback. The school was not included on the list and does not have any official website but oonly on FB.

Wish we can enroll him to a school like LICS but it's just out of reach at the moment.

Thanks in advance.

Hi mommy i have a friend somewhere in Pateros, but her son is still studying in makati if you are familiar the Little Smart Reader Kids it is good for the kids. When i heard about it i told also to my cousins to let them try there because they're progressive and traditional. It's so happened when they graduated in that preschool they become top in their class in some prestigious school here in metro manila. Try it mommy.

Would like to give feedback on Learn and Explore Montessori School in Signal Village Taguig. Saka sa anak ko mismo nanggaling na gusto niya ang turo especially Botany and Zoology (Modesty aside, my child is one of the top 3 of their class.)

Pero this year, sobrang nadisappoint ako sa school. Unti unti akong naiinis sa pamamalakad nila.

- This year, ang daming teachers ang umalis.

As in NEVER. Mula ng dumating kami doon, ganon lagi napapansin namin. Buwan ng Wika, Halloween, Family day ultimo Recognition Day ang gulo gulo.

Not to mention inurong pa nila from June to July yung opening of classes, pero hindi pa din on time nadistribute lahat ng supplies.

Walang nurse/doctor. Nagkaroon kasi ng accident during dismissal time, may dalawang batang nagkatulakan kaya yung isa nauntog sa pader.

- They donít implement their policies strictly. This is based on our experience. My child was put into shame in front of the whole class by one of his classmates. I talked to the teacher and they informed me that they already sent an incident report to the parents. Lumipas ang two weeks wala akong nakuhang update.

 - Marami pang ibang rason like unreasonable fees, mali maling pagcheck ng work, etc. Pero sinabi ko na lang yung mga sa tingin kong important things to consider when looking for a school.

Nasagad talaga pasensya namin sa school year na to kaya ililipat na namin ng school ang mga bata. Sobrang daming complaints ang natanggap ng school this year.

Hi fellow moms

I need suggestions on where school should I enroll my 5 yr old daughter. We leave in Signal Village Taguig. We're aiming for a school that would let her enjoy it at the same time learn from it cause it's her first time.

suggestions is open..

thanks

Lakeview Montessori is good for me, especially teachers from nursey are very sweet, nagka problem lang kami nung ng kinder n sya, ang daming sumbong ng bata at kpag nagtanong k sa school, iba na ang dating sknila,parang wala kang karapatan magtanong. and 1 thing na observed ko sa directress nila,after mo mag reklamo iignore k niya, imbes ayusin niya yung problems.

Hi Mommy,

Would like to share my daughter's personal experience in Lakeview Montessori Center. My daughter was in kinder in 2016. Being one of the youngest in her class she was only 4 years old then, my daughter was quite playful. In one of her classes, she was playing with  her classmate, she was pulled by Teacher, brought her into the CR, squeezed her hands tightly and leave her inside the C.R. This was very traumatic for my daughter since she did not want to attend school after that incident. I filed a complaint to the baranggay against the Teacher and the school. During our hearing in the baranggay the Directress was just ignoring the complaint and keep on defending her teacher implying that it was not true that my daughter was harassed. Even when she was repeatedly reminded by the baranggay commitee of the RA 7610 (Rights of every child against violations and discrimination)  I was so annoyed, and mad that I decided to transfer my daughter right away.

The Directress is simply annoying!.  ignorant of her obilgations and responsibilities being the administrator of her school!
