Post by: maikaqbernardo on June 01, 2018, 06:25:56 pm
How do you choose a fever medication for your child?  :) Thanks for your input!

The first time my son had a fever and he was prescribed Calpol by his pediatrician, I no longer tried other medicines to treat his fever. My second child/daughter however, was prescribed Tempra, so I only choose to give her that every time she has a fever. As long as it was prescribed by their attending physician and it is able to treat their fever, I'll choose that medicine as I would consider my child "hiyang" with it.

Whenever my son got fever we gave him tempra , un ang prescribed ng pedia niya kasi. But thankful ako when he turned 6months+ old hindi na siya sakitin at maselan lang magkasipon at ubo. Siguro isa sa mga factors kaya naiwasan is yung vitamins niya and malakas siya kumain ng veggies as his first food.

I am a first time mommy kaya sinisigurado ko din na parating okay si baby boy ko.. So far, thank God, kasi once lang nagka-fever baby ko nung before nag-6months siya dala na din ng panahon and our pedia prescribed naman tempra.. Kaya yun ang nakaabang sa akin at pinapainom ko after his vaccine shot para makaiwas sa fever (advice ng nanay ko). And thank God my son is 12 months old at hindi siya sakitin.. Vitamins niya ay ceelin plus and ener A plus (binibigay ko alternate as per advice by his pedia ☺)

Calpol, Tempra, Biogesic ay pare pareho lang ng laman. Kung anong flavor ang prefer ni baby iyon na lang.  ;)
