i change diapers every 3 hours. that's 8 diapers a day, 56 a week, 224 a month, at 5 pesos apiece. = 1,120 pesos per month.

mahal diba? and to think i use the unbranded, generic diapers. buti na lang hindi maarte baby ko. mind you, the quality of these  diapers are comparable to the branded ones. sometimes even better.

I use Petpet supreme and Giggles star (medium size) for my 3 month old. Far more superior to EQ dry. nagleleak talaga baby ko sa EQ.

my baby is running 5 months on the 15th and since birth his diaper brand is HUGGIES (could be dry or dry and comfort). monthly budget is P900-P12,00. THe good thing if you buy HUGGIES dry & comfort is makatipid ka kasi up to 10 hours  mo lasts ang diaper but depends nalang kun gaano na kadami yun pee ng baby ko but so far hiyang na hiyang naman sya sa diaper so we stick to HUggies pa rin:-)

carys is using drypers since birth, she's now 13 months. 40's XL now costs P414.50 and nauubos niya yan in less than 2 weeks, so more or less, her diaper expense for a month is P1,243.50  :)

Baby's age: 23 months, 1 week and 1 day
Diaper Brand: Prokids
Size: XL
Price per pack of 36s: P419.00
Frequency of diaper change: 6 times a day
Monthly expense for diapers: P2,095.00

May time na ayaw niya muna magsuot ng diapers especially after taking a bath or when he's playing.  ;)

just to share mine, my baby uses CARE brand, ito po kasi yung ginagamit sa CGH when i gave birth to her, and ever since ito talaga yung pinaka-gusto ko and napakamura pa. She never gets rashes on it, and it costs for only P170.00 i think for 24pcs XL na siya for 1 year and 9 months old. At the same time kasi tinuturuan ko na siyang mag-pee sa pot niya kaya ayun less worries ako pagdating sa diapers. :)

I use generic diapers for my 4 month old.
30 pcs for 200 pesos.
30 pcs last for 5 days.
So mga 1k din a month ang gastos sa diaper.

Much cheaper than branded ones. In my daughter's case, ok naman siya dun. No allergies whatsoever. Buti na lang.  :D

Sofia (11 months)
Diaper: EQ Plus Soft Cottony Cover
Size: Large

Kyla (11 months)

Diaper: EQ DRY
Size: Medium
Price: 612 per pack (84 pcs.)

Usually we spent 1000+ -1,500 for the diaper alone. We have also tried many kinds of branded diaper and masasabi ko na okay kay baby Kyla yung Pampers Active Dry and yung Huggies pull ups (pinadala ng mama ko for her first apo). Now we are going to try the unbranded ones... and we are hoping na sana maging okay yun kay baby Kyla.

Likewise, my baby's diaper brand is Huggies. After trying on different brands, pansin ko lang that Huggies is far more absorbent than Pampers, EQ or Drypers..not to mention that it is very seldom that Lucas' gets rashes from using huggies. Medyo expensive nga lang ng konti but I wouldn't trade the comfort my baby gets from using the brand that he's used to.

Matipid ako sa diaper. I use Huggies since birth and for 1 month i think upto 400 lang nagagastos ko sa diaper.

HUGGIES ang gamit ng 2 weeks old twins ko.. 6 times a day ako kung magpalit, minsan mas madalas pa.. so 12 pcs a day for my twins,, medyo magastos kaya  nagiicip ako ng mas mura kaya lang i'm afraid na baka magka rushes sila.. but by reading this thread, i think i'll try to use other brands, subok lang..

Pampers active baby diaper XL un gamit ko sa anak ko...medyo malakas siya sa diaper, minsan 6-8 times siya magpalit. pero lately since nag-iipin siya mas madalas kc parang nagtatae. mga around 2k gastos ko sa diaper niya. pero on normal basis 1520 for 4 packs nung pampers activebaby in a month.

As our baby grows, makakatipid tayo if we teach them potty training. Before I started selling generic diapers, I'm spending about 2k a month for the diapers.
Na outgrow na niya and I started selling diapers, it cut me to Php800-900 a month.

for my 2 months old baby: Im still using Prokids new born (malaki kasi size nila) monthly my baby uses approximately 145 pcs x P6.50 = 942.50

for my 2 y.o. boy (sadly, not yet potty trained) : I'm using Huggies XL, monthly he uses aproximately 80pcs x P10 = 800

Total Amount : P 1,742.50

We use Prokids XL for my son. He makes use of 1 big pack every week. That's about 2k per month. I think I'll try Mamy Poko from 'exclusivelykids,' baka I could save more. :)

for my 4month old baby boy:

huggies dry comfort M, 420+ pesos for 42 pcs (2-3packs)
mamy poko M, 310 pesos for 26 pcs (1-2packs)

yan ang nacoconsume namin in a month, pero minsan may sobra naman :) pero before pala huggies dry ang pang daytime niya, pero now hindi na. but we also tried almost all brands ng diaper :)

Huggies Dry Comfort gamit namin kay Mia since birth up to now. And simula nung pinanganak sya hanggang ngayon sa gabi lang sya gumagamit ng disposable diaper--cloth diaper or panties gamit niya during the day.

Lukas is currently using EQ Dry Large. P560 (estimate) ata yung 72 pcs. Kung 5x a day siya mag-change, good for 15 days lang yun.. So for a month, P1120.. Nag-Prokids din sya, Newborn size up to Small, tapos nag-Pampers din siya Small... Ok naman siya with all. Haven't tried yung generic brands.. Baka one of these days try namin to. And sana, hindi magkarashes si baby.. ;)
Title: Re: Cost of diapers
Post by: chel03 on September 24, 2010, 02:28:14 am
for my 5 months old na baby: EQ plus medium 32 pcs 199.75 yun for one month nakakadalawang packs sya so 399.50

for my one year old baby: EQ plus din siya XL 24 pcs 199.75 din sya for one month 2 packs din nagagamit niya so 399.50 din..

so in a month 799 pesos ang gastos namin for diapers.. hiyang naman ang mga babies ko,,di naman kelangan ng mahal na brand di ba basta hiyang sila,,so instead of using expensive diaper brands dun ako sa tipid so i could spend for other things for the kids,,  ;D

diaper for my 1 y.o: pampers active baby (large)
ang 60's per pack is P538 good for atleast 15 days n. mura kc ang pampers sa landmark supermarket than sa SM or any other supermarket or convenient store. 5x times  a day po namin sya palitan so P1,076 po per month gastos namin ky baby.  ;)
Title: Re: Cost of diapers
Post by: cowgirl_mommy on October 13, 2010, 02:28:47 pm
for my one month old baby:
EQ Dry Small 40's at 272.75 x 3 packs/month = 818.25

for my one year 4 months old toddler:
EQ Plus XL 24's at 205 x 3 packs/month = 615

so we're spending approximately Php. 1,433/ month for diapers.

hopefully, ma lessen ng konti ang gastos sa diaper now that we are trying to potty train our toddler. halos twice a day na lang ang palit niya ng diaper ngayon.

I spend P200 for 30 pcs generic cloth like class a diaper from diaper depot.

We only used it at night since we just use briefs during the day for my 2 year old.

But if we go out then we use diapers too.

30 pcs would last a month or 2 weeks if we go out a lot.

8 months na baby ko.

EQ Dry Medium(daytime use): P390/57 pcs(54 pcs lang talaga, may free 3 pcs kasi)
Huggies Dry Comfort Large(night time and when going out): P365/38pcs dahil sale, may free pa na 3 Huggies Pull-Ups

nakaka 4-6 diaper changes si baby in a day, which includes yung Huggies DC for night time use, once a day lang yun kasi hindi nasosoak sa wiwi si baby kahit sa morning na palitan. Mga 1,200-1,400 din pala in a month ang cost :o   samantala 1K lang ang diaper budget. nag-iisip tuloy ako na ibalik ulit sa lampin si baby ;D

dati, jollie generic diaper med-P80.15(16's) 4-5packs per month
now i try

for my 4 mos old baby Jeanna, i use EQ Dry Medium. It cost around 350 pesos for 54pcs. In a month she could consume 2 packs of this. so 700 in a month budget ko. yung huggies ok din sa kanya. Pero mas mabilis na siyang ma full when she uses it. Nagka rashes naman siya nung nag Drypers kaya never na ulit ako nag avail nun for her. So far EQ pa rin kami and no plans yet for changing it =)

Naka marked down ang price niya diba. I used to spend a lot for dypes, pero ngayon medyo okay okay na. Mga 4 dypes naman kame in a day. Hdc for daytime and mamy poko sa gabi. But now, I'm using drypers muna naguubos lang ng stock ko dito. In a month nakaka 1 and a half pack ako ng mp, so nsa 450+ na yung mp palang. Yung hdc, nauubos namin yung big pack :)

un akin, factory overruns na magic.. yun checkered heheh large size, 30 pcs/pack 165 pesos. she's 1 year, 1 month, 1 week and 2 days old as of this post. sabihin natin per week nauubos niya yun isang pack, so in a month, Php660. ;D

di naman sha nagkarashes dun.. since birth yun na yun gamit niya.. i just put petroleum jelly or drapolene to protect her. dati i tried EQ sana kaso ewan ko bakit parang may amoy siya na mabaho tas mabilis din mapuno kaya nagli-leak.

nun new born baby namin, eq dry nabile naman. lagi naman naglleak. so nagpampers comfort kami. medyo mahal kaya nagtry pa kami other brands like drypers and huggies kaya lang lagi may leaks. so balik kami sa pampers comfort. dati we are using pampers comfort during the day, then un active baby sa gabi. mas maliit kasi un size ng comfort e.
comfort (34pcs) - 339.0, active baby (34pcs) - 399.
ngaun i am reading un mga forum about generic diapers kasi these 34pcs will last for a week lang e. sa pay day will scout for these generic diapers sa mga market. here's the link, if you want:

Mga sis, ganyan din po ako before na try ko na ang EQ plus at dry, Pampers at Huggies pero lahat nagleleak sa baby ko  :(

5- 6 diapers a day ang nagagamit ko bigat sa bulsa... So I decided to look for importers of diapers at nung nakahanap ako I tried it agad. Now, 2-3diapers a day nalang ang nagagamit ko, affordable yet with good quality ang mga imported diapers... And I also have trivia  :D Yun pong SM Bonus diapers is galing din sa mga importers ng generic/branded diapers yun po yung magic/checkered diaper nirerepack lang po ni SM  ;D

Cloth like po ang mga diapers para hindi nakukulob ang wee wee resulting to rashes sa babies natin... Others also have anti rash ointment...

Kindly check this link mga sis:

My mom din, she always like to change diapers every pee, kahit naka mamy poko kami or huggies dry comfort/snug & dry, so magastos talaga. Average of 2 packs of Huggies Large (38s) kami every week. So if pure Snug & Dry lang kami, almost 3 weeks lang yung big box sa amin.

Although yung baby ko naman, di maarte. Even if wet na sya, keber lang.

We don't like the cheap ones naman kase nagrarashes pa rin even if we change every pee.

My baby boy is 3 months and 2 weeks old.  I have been using Pampers since he was born, though I have tried other brands I still go back to Pampers because that is the brand he is most comfortable with, my baby had been circumcised a few days after his birth so he had to be changed more often than usual.  He is now using Pampers Active Large size, a pack of 38diapers cost almost Php 400.   My baby usually consumes 3-5 diapers the whole day and almost the same during the night so more or less he consumes 6-10 diapers per day. With the 38 pcs-pack it lasts for usually 4-5 days, so approximately @ Php 400/5 days and there's 30 days in a month, my diapers allowance is Php 2000 - Php 2400. Take note that my baby is already 8kg in weight and 66cm in length, he is above average for his age.

I am using generic diaper with my newborn,. fitti aloe. so far ok naman siya. I tried EQ dry pero nagkarashes siya kaagad, and 5-6 times kung magpalit everyday. sa fitti aloe, nagppalit lang ako ng 3-4 times, depende if nag-poop, e madals siya magpoop kasi breastfed eh.

Try using generic diapers. These are called generic because hindi siya available sa leading supermarkets natin, and they are all imported brands. The quality is really comparable sa mga leading brands, mas maganda pa nga... at much cheaper!

My 15 month old daughter uses Huggies Dry Comfort and Huggies pull ups. We change her diapers every 3-4 hours and in a month's time, we normally consume 3 packs of Large HDC (38 counts each) and 3 packs of Huggies pull ups XL (30 counts each).

HDC is 360 something while Huggies pull ups is 400 something.

My daughter is already 3 years old. She's using EQ Dry ever since until now. Her size already is XXL (Color Brown), it costs around 300pesos and we buy 2 packs every payday. :)

I tried using 1 brand of generic, at grabe ang mura. In a month p650-800 lang ang nagastos ko for diapers (L). Pero hindi nahiyang baby ko, nagkarashes kaya back to pampers active at Huggies DC ako.. With these 2brands, ang budget ko for a month is 1200-1500, equivalent to 3-4packs. Recently natry ko din mamypoko powerslim [big fan kasi ako ng slim diapers] mas mura sya sa pampers active & HDC, good for everyday use din :)

my baby uses mamy poko and drypers. kaso lang sobra talagang mahal. nasa 1,500 to 2k a month kami sa diapers lang.

my daughter is 4 years old (yup, nagdiapies pa sa gabi), I use EQ DRY XXL for her kasi yun lang kasya for her age and weight, 28KGS. Malapit na nga di magkasya eh. I buy the 12pcs pack, good for 12 days na din kasi sa gabi lang siya gumamit. It cost P136 per pack. Sa second child ko I'm planning to use Drypers. Kasi yun gamit ng daughter ko dati from birth - 2 years

From Pampers Comfort to Pampers Active Baby pero nung sobrang likot na palitan, I started using Pampers Active Baby Pants na.. Large gamit niya which costs 384 @28pcs.. I think 4-6 pcs siguro average nacoconsume niya everyday.. Yoko na alamin magkano monthly.. :D

My 14months old baby is now using Baby Love (lagi out of stock) and Petpet (imported diaper) salitan lang. Before pampers gamit niya then now that he's already 1 year, we try yung mga imported diaper and hindi naman siya nagkakarushes.

Got a pretty good deal at SM Masinag supermarket for Zoe's Huggies diapers. May bundle kase sila ng XL Huggies Dry Comfort and XL Huggies Pull Ups (both 34 counts) for only 690. Total savings of 150, eh since we usually buy that combo, we took advantage na and bought 3 bundles hehe.

my soon-to-be 3 year old boy uses Pampers Active Baby XL while my 2-month-old baby girl uses the same brand in Small size.  I buy the large packs which costs Php390 (XL contains 32 pcs while S contains 48).  I buy 3 packs of each size per month so it costs me Php2340 for diapers alone! :-[

we use happy for our baby, P162.75 lang per pack of 30... ok din naman sya, hindi nagrarashes si baby saka hindi rin nagli-leak unless super puno na talaga sya. pero paglalabas, we use huggies kasi medyo bulky yung cut nung happy kaya minsan labas na sa legs yung diaper niya, hehe

Last weekend, we bought a pack of Mamy Poko slim for Zoe. This is on top of Huggies dry comfort and Huggies pull ups. Yung MP slim mas mura kesa HDC. Havent tried it yet pero sabe sa kabilang thread, medyo hinde sya absorbent.
Title: Re: Cost of diapers
Post by: ericamm on January 30, 2012, 12:04:00 pm
Nagiging gel kasi siya and madali mo makikita yung pee, pero if you will try to touch it dry naman siya at hindi kumakatas yun wetness (not unless punong puno talaga). What I don't like about it is hindi stretchable yung waist band niya, kaya mahirap isuot sa magulong baby (lalo na baby ko malaki hita)..dapat pantay pagkakalagay mo.

Mura talaga siya than HDC, halos same price ng pampers comfort and cheaper than EQ dry pero quality niya mas ok than both eq & pampers comfort. It is soft pa and magic tape.

Hallo again fellow mommy rodcielle_07,you are right sa pagiging mas economical ng cloth diaper, yes its a bit expensive if you are just starting pero in the long run ang laking tipid.
I can say from personal experience, yung niece ko kasi to whom I gave 18pcs of Alva Baby cloth diaper that initially bought for my son, kaya lang sobra active si baby kaya nag-lileak sa kanya, anyway, ang laki talaga tipid, kapag night time na lang sya nagdisposable.
So instead of going through the cost of disposable diapers, siguro , mas maganda pag-isipan ng ating mga fellow mommies to use cloth diapers instead, just a suggestion lang po mga mommies...
Happy parenting and God bless!

I only have 10 pocket diapers and 2 covers.. kulang yun kung tutuusin.. pero magagamit din ng susunod.. tsaka ecofriendly pa coz you will not add so many dirty disposable diapers to our landfills.. grabe bago madecompose yun sobrang tagal pala.. and to add, no chemicals that can harm my baby's bum like toxins present in disposable diapers.. pero depende pa rin sa inyo mga mommies. pero if you are going to think, there are lots of benefits using CDs :)

Regards to all..:)

^True sis. My daughter used cloth diapers for a couple of hours in the morning lang when she was a newborn. Usually before she paliguan. Now what we do is take off her nappy when she wakes up in the morning and put panties and her jammies. Pag nagwiwi, palit na lang ulit. This is until she takes a bath at around 9am.

ako naman ginagawa ko after work, pahinga lang ng onti then saka ko sya labhan.. every other day ako maglaba.. minsan katulong ko si hubby.. after work niya rin.. then saka namin ilalabas sa morning para ibilad sa arawan.. kasi nga ayaw ko rin ipalaba sa aming maglalaba at baka kung panong gawing laba.. eh gusto ko maretain yung quality at good as new pa rin dapat kahit use na.. so mommies it's a matter of choice and responsibility if you decide to use cloth diapers to your baby.. nasa sa inyo naman yun.. hassle at first but Im happy naman with it..  nakakapagod din, kasi every other day laba, but Im really determined to use CDs than disposables.. :)

I use cloth diapers for my 1st born and have tried alot of diapers in the market EQ dry lang ang nahiyangan niya. Now that he's potty training na he's using mamy poko pull ups which costs 300+/16pcs. He only use it pag aalis kami so tipid na it lasts for 2months naman. With my 2nd born cloth diapers also because mas sensitive ang skin niya kahit pag gabi until she was 3 months old. When she turned 4months I also tried alot of diapers from the most expensive to the cheapest I ended up with sweet baby which costs 56 per 10 pcs.

i switched to cloth diapers din although not fully. kasi pag lumalabas kami disposables pa din yung gamit namin. and contrary to everyone thinks, hindi ganun ka hirap yung cloth diapering. siguro kasi winawashing machine ko sya. and every other day ako naglalaba.

as for the disposables, yung mini pack ng drypers na 12 nappies mahigit isang bwan namin ginagamit. :) tipid EVER!

We use Drypers XL. I buy the biggest pack (Jumbo Pack I think) with 58 pieces and the cost vary from P580-P600. I usually get them from S&R or Robinson's Grocery because they're cheaper there than Puregold. SM don't carry them unfortunately kaya sometimes I do two trips when grocery shopping.

We use cloth diapers too at home so we can save a little bit on diapers. We use Luvable Friends Cloth Diapers.

for those mommies using disposable diapers, why not try using cloth diapers? hindi po ako nagbebenta ha. sayang nga kasi lately ko lang sya nadiscover, with our second child na. with our panganay, we use huggies. then i stumbled upon this facebook page Modern Cloth Nappying Pinays. yung second baby ko is now exclusively using cloth diapers. nagcompute ako. our toddler who is now 30 months old consumed 30k worth od disposable diapers. pero ngayon, yung 2 month old ko, no more disposable diapers. we use cloth diapers which i bought for 250 per piece. i bought 20 pieces which is enough until her toddler years. imaging, from 30k, more or less 6k lang nagastos ko for my 2nd child. wala lang. just sharing.
