Title: board games and other indoor games
Post by: pwinset on January 03, 2010, 11:16:49 am
We recently discovered one of the best ways to enjoy staying at home is playing board games. We bought Monopoly Philippines edition. We get to teach our son about money and management and we get to have fun as well. Now we plan on buying more board games and stack it in our room.  :)

Yung Monopoly, the objective is not to be bankrupt so the kids get to buy properties since you have your own monopoly money. Its a nice practice for kids to learn the value of money. To take risks and to teach about budgeting their own money. Theres a filipino edition, the classic meron narin yung bago na credit card na ang ginagamit. cool!

Board games are cool but if you have toddlers around, you can turn almost anything into an indoor game.

Here are few examples of educational activities for toddlers that don't cost anything pa! goo.gl/U7nmc

Mas nag benefit ang anak ko with slides and ladders than playing angry birds. He learned to familiarize himself with the dots on the dice. I used 2 dice so he can add. Then yung direction ng chip papunta sa greater number, the square he's on plus the number on the dice is where he should get. Tapos yung drawing teaches about good manners (ladder) and bad deeds (slide). It also teaches sportsmanship so I control his temper when he lose until hindi na siya nagagalit pag natatalo.
