Title: HK Disneyland trip
Post by: mommy lore on August 06, 2008, 12:36:06 am
Hi Everyone,

Anyone who has been to HK Disneyland? Pa share naman nag mga experiences nyo.

San kayo kumuha ng tour package and how much ang nagastos nyo? Meron ba silang package na good for 4?

My family is planning to go there to for my son's 7th birthday.

Thanks!

hi sis...been there last FEB...HK and MACAU...

ako lang and my friends during college...di ko pa kasama family ko, wala pa kami budget... :)

do-it-yourself (DIY) ang tour namin sis...ako gumawa ng itinerary namin...mas ok yun for us since adventurous naman kami and walang kasamang kids...

expenses namin (approx):
airfare (cebupac) - P7,500 each (includes P2,500 travel and other taxes)
accommodation - P4,000 each (share kaming 3..that's for 4 nights)
food and gala - P12,000 each (inc entrance fees and our 1 day tour in Macau)
+ pasalubong

with regards to food and gala, sa airport pa lang - nagcontribute na kami ng HK$ namin worth P12K...then isa na lang hahawak ng fund so we dont have to get money from our pocket everytime na kakain or sasakay sa MTR nila...it's convenient i think...

here's the list of places na napuntahan namin:
Lantau Island (Giant Buddha, Gateway Mall and Disneyland)
HK island (Floating Restaurant, Repulse Bay, The Peak (rode on peak tram), and wax Museum
Kowloon Island (Avenue of Stars, Shopping along nathan road)
Macau (Sands Hotel, Fisherman's wharf, Senado Square, church (St Paul ruins, etc.) venetian hotel (ganda dito promise)

ang downside lang ng DIY, you have to research talaga...as in kung ano dapat sakyan, ano yung magkakalapit na place...para wala masayang time and effort...but it pays esp pag natapos nyo yung tour as per your schedule...na wala gaanong hassle :)

hope this helps! ;)

been to hk disneyland kaso tagal na kaya d ko pa nakikita yung mga bago nilang attractions ngayon.. own arrangements lang kami kabisado ko na kasi lagi ako may training sa hk. madali naman magpunta dun via mtr.. napaka user friendly ng transpo system nila at ok ang mga maps madali sundan.

first time mo ba sa hongkong? if first time, siguro nga mas ok if you avail package.. yun nga lang mas mapapamahal ka. we'll be coming out with a disney 3+1 package soon. I'll keep you posted if naka out na.

sis shyngirl sa shamrock hotel. 5 pax all adults. can i ask for a quotation first before ako pa book? thanks!
Title: Re: HK Disneyland trip
Post by: shyngirl on August 06, 2008, 06:31:58 pm
hindi ko pa ata napuntahan shamrock sis.. although nasa kowloon yun malapit sa shoppingan..lagi kasi kami regal hotels or marco polo.

Pwede kaya magquote dito?

Hotel has shuttle naman to/from disney. package inclusion - airfare, airport/hotel transfer, at hotel accomodation.

Hi shyngirl,

Actually next year pa ang 7th bday ng son ko. but I'd like to know rin ang mga packages para makapagipon na ako ng budget. I've never been to hongkong kaya isip ko sana kuha na lang kami ng tour.

Last week of August ang birthday niya.  Kelan ba ang start ng peak season?

Thanks a lot!
Title: Re: HK Disneyland trip
Post by: shyngirl on August 06, 2008, 10:22:11 pm
depende sa hotel.. yung iba shoulder season ang Aug while others nasa peak.. jul-aug shopping sale sa hongkong kaya siguro considered peak sa iba.. sa mga disney hotels whole month of august considered peak.. suggest to go there week days kasi peak of peak pag weekends.

Any tips from those who have been to Hong Kong Disneyland and Disney Hollywood Hotel?
Title: Re: HKDL and HKDL hotel

I went there last 2006 ata. I missed the parade kasi we went there after lunch na.
Kaya go early if you can.
Watch all the shows! I watched only one, yung Golden Mickey kasi hindi ko alam na may ganung shows pala  :-\
Kaya siguro when you get there get a flyer agad and devise a game plan on how you will go around the park, plan it siguro according to the oras ng shows.
Bring stroller for the kids, ang hirap mag lakad.
Have your cam ready all the time, Characters can show up anywhere, anytime.
And dont forget an extra memory card.
Mine went dead on me after the fireworks  >:( nabura lahat, what I have were the ones in my cp lang.
If you happen to have your pictures taken in a booth na meron silang official photog, they will give you a stub in case you want to claim pictures taken by them. Keep the stubs until you wont need them anymore, just so you will still have some pics if your memcard decides to give up on you  >:(
And you can also ask the photographer to take pictures of you using your cam.
Dont decide to go home early, wait for the fireworks!
Its, well... magical  ;D

For the experience of it, its nice to get atleast a nights stay at the HK Disneyland Hotel and then splurge some more, avail of the buffet breakfast (Kids under 3 eat free).

My son was just 3 when we went there and he was so amaze with the place. My husband told him that the hotel was owned by Mickey himself and it was Goofy who cooked the food (My son loves Mickey and Goofy).

Some tips:

(1) Wear your comfort shoes.

(2) The Bus drop off at the HK Disneyland park is quite far from the park itself.  If you are toggling a toddler along, you will end up carrying the kiddo halfway. So, if you have handy/light weight umbrella stroller, you might consider bringing it to HK.

(3) Stuffs inside the park are so expensive. Disney items here in the PI are actually cheaper.  I bought my Disney souveniers at the HK Airport.

(4) Dont forget your camera (stiill and video). Make sure you have spare batteries. We were there the whole day, taking pictures and videos, by the time the fireworks began, our video battery is already drained.  Sayang talaga.  We only got pictures of the  firework  :'(

(5) Take pictures with the Disney mascots.  They have a lot of picture ops in the park, but I think the place to take pictures is in the "garden area".  Have the picture made into a key chain.  Its a nice brag item, since its easily noticed when I carry it around. I think its one of my best buys and its not even P500bucks.

If it is your first time in HK, I would recommend you visit the following places:

- HKMuseums (they have a handful, but the best is their Science Museum)
- Night market
- Ocean Park
- Brand outlets (in my first trip to HK, mga 6 pairs of shoes yata naiuwi ko). If you intend to go shopping, bring lang a few pieces of clothing, pero bring all your maletas. Tapos punuin nyo pauwi.  Just be careful not to exceed the luggage quota per passenger.

BTW, if you are all adults naman, suggest you ask about the shen-shen tour.  It is a 30-35 minutes by bullet train from HK downtown.  Items there are a lot cheaper, its like a 168 here in Manila. You can haggle, then when you haggle pag sinabi sa iyo a 100, kalahati agad itawad mo.  They would say no at first, but ater a while pag palabas ka na, they would call you back and give it to you at the price you want.

we availed of the cebupac promo which we bought last march then we got the las palmas(they have website) for the accomodation of 155USD per person for 4 days and 3 nights stay in RAMADA KOWLOON hotel along Tsim Tsam Tsui ....

Included sa package from las palmas is the halfday tour plus the disney land ticket......kaso bitin ang halfday sa disney land...esp. if december...they have additional shows ....kaya next time na punta namin...di na namin isasama ang disney land tour...kami na lang pupunta doon....

we went also to Victoria Peak and Ocean Park on our own...Its good that my sister researched first.....

Thanks for all the replies. I changed the topic title because my husband changed his mind. Mas affordable daw ang Disney Hollywood sa DL Hotel. We enjoyed our 4 day stay last week and temp was 19C. We didn't take HK tour anymore because the kids won't appreciate Buddhas and other sites. Maybe when they get a bit older. For now Disneyland lang talaga ang gusto nila. There are also stuffs at the hotel that keeps them occupied. I'd like to share these infos about the hotel and HKDL. The photo slide I made using gickr.com

(http://gickr.com/results2/anim_0b06d529-0890-24c4-6932-2582d4cafaa6.gif) (http://gickr.com)

About the Hotel:

They have temp controlled pool so even if it's 15C, the water is at 35C. It's piano shaped and has a wide shallow area. It's safe for kids, with life jackets of diff sizes. Even the fall from the slide is slow (photo not shown). What I love (and the kids can't stand) is the jet-jacuzzi with 46C temp.

Our room is park facing but forget that. Thru the trees you can only see the tip of the castle and the coaster ride roof. What made it expensive (pikit mata naming kinuha yung room because it's the only floor that's available at the time of our check-in) is that you can see the fireworks at night. We love the amenities. Mickey toiletries, slippers and robes kiddie-size, the animal towels and 24hr mickey mouse clubhouse channel. Never mind if the english version comes in after 3 chinese different versions. My toddler still enjoys it.

They have a playroom for guests and holds activites every 2 hours.

THEY DON'T HAVE ROOM SERVICE but they have a diner-themed cafeteria that opens til late. The kids love the mickey bowl and cutleries.

(http://gickr.com/results2/anim_436ce43e-8f39-f094-4d9a-7c57a2564bbb.gif) (http://gickr.com)

HKDL

If you've been to other DLs, don't compare HKDL in terms of size. I was told before that 1 day is enough to see it all. It was 19C this season and they have additional attractions like "kulit" elves everywhere, a tree lighting attraction with dancers in unison and soap snow. I thought it was real snow because it was cold. It's just the temp getting colder at night. The kids love the snow fall, they wouldn't quit even when it drizzles occassionally. They played til it's time for the fireworks. Ayan tuloy, nilagnat panganay ko late that night. Buti nalang equipped si Mommy ng Calpol.

With a toddler in tow, you can't stand in line for photo op so we had Hubby do that while we stroll. When he's close to the characters, that's when we head for the shots. My toddler boy also can't stand being closely surrounded by people so we had a hard time sitting in theaters. I was directed by the usher to position myself near the exit so we can use it should he throw a tantrum. We watched the show standing up, away from seated Dada and daughter. All Disney staff are nice. My boy enjoyed the show too.

The fireworks are nice, like those in MOA weekends. It makes me proud as a Filipino that ours is better watching the Phils presentation at Pyrolympics. Bakit ako disappointed? Kasi sa Orlando, naiyak ako sa presentation nila, and this one in HK didn't make me feel any close to that. Sabi na kasi huwag i-compare eh. Or maybe, I was so tired on my feet all day I took it on the fireworks and snow.

I've no idea how much it cost my husband. He didn't get any package. He did the bookings himself online with PAL and the hotel. Ayoko tanungin baka ako singilin.

My daughter asked when we'll go back. Her Dada said on her graduation. She got excited thinking it will be this March not knowing she has to wait 5 more years to graduate from 6th grade.

We're booked for HKDL this March. We didn't get any package. Most packages kasi na nakikita namin, mix of downtown trip. Mahirap pa-transport-transport kapag may baby eh. As of now, kay Mickey lang sila interested.  We'll be staying in Disneyland Hollywood Hotel.  Since we booked the hotel separately, medyo mahal. But they have this promo until April 1 na 25% off, so na-avail namin yun so okay na din.

First time ko na magtratravel with a baby eh.
Saka, would you know kung pwede magdala ng babyhaler at nebulizer.  (for emergency lang naman yun).. pero di bale, magpapa-reseta na lang kami sa doctor before kami umalis.
And also, pano yung water for baby's milk?  I mean, may nabibilhan ba doon or pwede kami magdala ng water?
Title: Re: HK Disneyland trip

Remember, Cebu Pacific is a "bring your baon" airline.
About the airline policy on water, nebulizer, etc., better inquire with the airline nalang. It's best to have a prescription for any medicine you take to another country. Iba-iba and policy per airline lalo na about stroller. Some airline would allow only the "umbrella type", others don't allow it at all. If you need to check-in your stroller, make sure you have a box or a storage for it. Cebu Pacific can be flexible with hand carry kung hindi puno and cabin.

Disneyland Hollywood Hotel's location doesn't have a nearby resto or stores. Better buy supplies at HKIA (parang mall naman yun eh) on your arrival you can take to your hotel like snacks, bread sandwiches, cup noodles, chips, bottles of water, cartons of juice. Kasi ang price sa hotel ng 1 small kellogs box is like 3x the price outside. May coffee and tea bags naman sa room, a kettle and 2 small bottles of water.
And note: WALA SILANG ROOM SERVICE kaya you need food stocks. Their diner naman is open til late.

yes mommy hand carry lang stroller sa cebupac. upon boarding, just give the stroller to the stewardes. then yung sa baby ko...doon na sa luggage pick-up place na namin nakuha with our check-in luggages.

from HK to PHIL na trip ang medyo mahigpit sa bottled water. you still have to show the baby and the baby milk to allow you to bring the water. pero for adults, di pwede any drink kaya ininom namin sa airport.

we went to HK last March 2008..it was cold...the coldest was 13C during the 3rd day...my tip is to always check the weather para ready kayo what to bring...and what to expect para okay din ang set ng schedules check out http://www.hko.gov.hk/contente.htm, accurate ito and updated...

Kami lang ang nagplan ng itineraries namin...with the help of some friends na frequent goer sa Hong Kong and of course its best if you study their map...user friendly naman eh. Better use the MTR than taking the cab...grabe taga hehe but it was fun...if you're the adventurous type, kahit na first time nyo, better have it your way...plan nyo lang mga gusto nyo puntahan. and stick with your plan...para di sayang ang pamasahe...try nyo din yung Tram nila...the train in the middle of the streets..its cool! 1 HK$ lang!!!

we stayed at Causeway Bay area...we had our hotel at Marlboro Hostel, http://www.marlborohostel.com/ , very cheap but clean place...di kami masyado nasplurge on hotel kase most of our stay nasa labas kami...

HKDL was sulit...though hindi rin lahat napuntahan..its best na kumuha kayo kaagad ng map and schedule map..para well scheduled ang paglibot sa park...lahat ng napuntahan namin on queue... pagkatapos ng isa tamang tama start na nung next na attraction..kaya enjoy talaga ng trip namin sa Disneyland. we were not able to see the fireworks display though..pero okay lang kasi meron pa kaming babalikan kung hehe

check my site for our photos during our 4 days 3 nights at Hong Kong

Thanks sis bave for the info.  Malamig pala sa HK kapag March.  Yes, we'll check weather advisory.  As of now, purely Disney trip kami.. doon lang din kami magstay sa hotel sa loob... siguro, sa pagbalik namin hehe... sa susunod), explore naman namin yung ibang places doon.  We actually plan to take a cab from the airport to Disney.  Hindi kasi namin kabisado how to get to the disney hotel from the airport.  But I plan to print a map para hindi naman kami masyado maligaw or maloko ng cab... sana lang, mabait yung cab na masakyan namin. I read your blog, nakakalungkot naman at inikot kayo nung cab na sinakyan nyo.

Thanks again.  =)

ask mo din yung hotel kung meron shuttle service sila from airport to your hotel...pero kung sa Disney hotel naman kayo medyo malapit lang naman ang airport...sana lang wag kayo masyado tagain...or masyado utakan in terms of speed...

siguro miscommunication din yung nangyari samin...kase most of the drivers are chinese talaga barok mag-english and konti lang talaga ang nakakacommunicate in english...mas maganda siguro na ipakita nyo yung map to where you're really going para clear tapos be observant..magbasa keo ng mga street signages tapos relate nyo sa map..pero kung meron naman kayong tour guide to bring you to the areas..wala naman na kayo masyadong problema...basta always bring the map with you at all times...its the best tip i could give you. ;D

hi sis..when we brought our son sa DL, he just turned 2. at that time he was into toy story kaya kilala na niya sila buzz lightyear at woody...kaya sila talaga yung inabangan namin sa park..and we're really fortunate to have a photo opt with him.
maganda talaga kung sasama si baby na walking na if not kailangan ng strollers, orelse magbubuhat ka the whole time. Tsaka with this ages..mas maapreciate nila yung mga makikita nila sa park and the whole trip... ;D

Hi Mommies,

Magkano po entrace sa Disneyland nowadays?

Title: Re: HK Disneyland trip
Post by: Jary on February 18, 2010, 09:48:42 am
we went to hongkong last november 2009 together with my 2yo daughter.. we stayed at hollywood hotel...from the airport to the hotel, we took a cab (can't remember if we took the green or red cab). the cost was about HKD100..there was a promo then that if you stay at disneyland hotel or hollywood hotel, you can avail of the buy one take one promo on park tickets. but the free ticket is only valid the next day..

the next day we transferred to another hotel - Royal Plaza Hotel kasi malayo na ang hollywood hotel para sa mga ibang tourist spots ng hongkong...this is a very nice hotel..it is adjacent to a mall so di mahirap maghanap ng makakainan..tapos may playground din yung mall for kids..yung hotel naman maganda yung pool nila, may underwater music..

Hi Mommies,

Magkano po entrace sa Disneyland nowadays?

For the park, HKD350 for adult and HKD250 for child

You may check their website :
http://park.hongkongdisneyland.com/hkdl/en_US/home/home?name=HomePage (http://park.hongkongdisneyland.com/hkdl/en_US/home/home?name=HomePage)

If you plan to have at least an overnight stay in Disneyland Hotel or Disney Hollywood Hotel, they have this "stay and play for 2 days" promo (pero until June 31, 2010 na lang ata). With this, you may get 2-day park tickets at a cost of one day.

Since we would be staying in the hotel for 3 night (4days), we've availed of this promo.  We'll be using the park tickets on our 2nd and 3rd day. 1st day kasi, kararating lang namin, sa 4th day naman, paalis naman.

pwede naman icheck in yung water paglagpas na sa 100ml, i guess pagsa babies okay lang naman yung water na nasa bottle na nila eh. . .

mommies that are going to DL HK pwede kayo magtrain na lang kayo from airport mastipid yun kesa magcab kayo. try niyo rin magcheck in sa mga inn  lang sobrang mastipid total tutulugan lang naman eh. me and hubby went to HK and macau last month we stayed at inn sa causeway bay, mas mura ng 6k pesos compare sa hotel. dagdag pangshopping na lang diba. okay naman eh condo unit siya na may 4-5 rooms ata, malinis naman.

I was busy these days sa paghahabol ng work and then tax season pa...so hindi ako naka-log sa SP.... hindi ako tuloy nakasagot sa inquiry ni yummycherry.   ^^
Anyway, kami, we were able to put in our checked-in baggage 4 big bottles of dr.edwards. Basta, yung nasa bag ni baby (na handcarry ni husband), ay yung mga maaring gamitin ni baby while waiting for the flight and for the time na nasa airplane kami. Then, ilang diapers, baby wipes and other things na handy. The rest ng mga gamit ni baby and gamit namin, nasa checked-in luggage na.

In the check-in counter, I inquired regarding the stroller. They tagged it as checked-in (although hindi sya kasama sa timbang kasi on-top naman sya ng limit). Pero we were allowed to use the stroller until the time na boarding na. You'll get it along with the luggages.

Our HKDL trip Mar 28-31 was great!
We stayed in Hollywood hotel for three nights. Disney Hollywood Hotel is cheaper than Disneyland Hotel. But both hotels are nice. My kids loved our room.  Aside from the usual disney channel on cable, they have a channel that plays Mickey Mouse Clubhouse round-the-clock. Although the episode is the same and the english version comes after a couple of chinese version.. my baby still loved watching it. We were not able to swim in the piano pool because the weather was cold.  Somebody told me that the dishes in Chef Mickey are not that appetizing, so we had our breakfast in Enchanted Garden Restaurant instead. It's in the other hotel - Disneyland Hotel. The buffet is good there, tapos pa, disney characters pay visit to every table so it's sulit naman.

We availed of stay and play for two days park tickets. We went to Disneyland resort park on our 2nd and 3rd day in HK.  We managed to ride almost all of the rides, except dun sa space mountain kasi baka matakot kids. My hubby and I are not fond of scary rides, too, anyway. The kids loved the shows esp. the golden mickeys.

We planned only for a purely Disneyland trip, so wala kaming plans na pumunta sa ibang nice spots sa HK. Although, we were able to have a glimpse of the city because we met up with my HK-resident friends that invited us for dinner.

Here's the link to some of the nice pics taken during our fun-filled vacay:

hubby and I will be going to Hong Kong on February. We'll arrive there 12 midnight of Feb 13 then leave on morning of Feb 15. siyempre yung 1 day dun, dedicated lang sa Disneyland (first timers e!) then yung isa, to tour Hong Kong. can you suggest itineraries? pati place to stay? yung affordable yet clean and safe naman yung place? thanks!

by the way, since 12 midnight ng Feb 13, nandun na kami, hubby suggested na tumambay lang sa HK airport until shops or even Disneyland Park opens. feasible ba ito? hehe tipid mode talaga kasi kami. tsaka parang sayang din yung isang night na babayaran namin na hindi naman namin fully nagamit di ba? :D

sis vanenie, hello!

nagawa ko nang matulog sa HK airport in 2008, when i was pregnant. around 2-3 hours maximum and it was early evening. waiting for connecting flight to manila. as in, nakahiga talaga ako sa seats.  wala namang sumisita sa kin. i don't know lang if early morning they have such a policy.

yung pag stay overnight sa airport, i did that too in 2006 or 2007 at jfk airport naman. waiting for flight back to manila. i forgot na how many hours, but i got there midnight and morning na yung flight. sayang nga kasi hotel, baka di ko pa ma catch yung flight ko.

it can be done. mag isa nga lang ako but dun sa jfk, may na meet akong pinoy din, kwentuhan kami. kasama mo pa hubby so time will move fast.

or, go to a hotel where there is entertainment til the wee hours. if you take the train from the airport to the city may last trip lang sya so please visit their website, dun na rin yung other things to do there (should you decide on staying at the airport palipas ng oras).

we (daming officemates) went to HK last feb. more than 100 people courtesy of our office. kanya kanyang groups na going to macau, hk disneyland, ocean park, shopping. di na ko sumama dun sa mga lakad. all i needed was rest. and i've been to HK din more than 5 times na so nalibot ko na yung usual places but not HK Disneyland - if our baby turns 5 siguro, gusto ko syang isama.

try nyo going to Victoria's Peak, ito pala yung pinuntahan ko last time. gabi kami pumunta, foggy and di namin makita sa baba. but the trip going up, and going down exciting kasi may areas along the train ride na more than 180 degrees yung slant!

adventurous ba your hubby you said? try the different HK islands. HK is not just about shopping. there is a different face to HK, meron din syang natural sites where you can do hiking and other fun stuff, . if i were with my hubby in a HK trip, ito yung gusto kong gawin  ;)

am sure, you've done some research na din. balitaan mo kami  :)

Me and my hubby had our honeymoon in hongkong last year. We stayed there for 5 nights. :'(  We went to Disneyland though. Mas prioritize ko Disneyland kasi I LOVE Winnie the Pooh sobra! Hahaha! Tsaka naubos budget namin sa shopping.  ;D We stayed at Eaton Hotel nasa Nathan Road sya which is the main city center na and 4 star hotel po yun.  We took advantage of the piso fair by Cebu Pacific.  Kumuha lang ako package for the hotel that included roundtrip transportation to and from the hotel to the airport because malayo yung airport nila. Also, with breakfast included na para d na kami mahirapan kung saan kami kakaen pag morning because most of the stores there late na nag oopen.  Hinde ka mawawala sa HongKong as long as you have a map or you can ask around. Mas makaka save pag mag MTR ka (that's the train) or mag bus. My English signage everywhere kaya d mahirap. Pati yung train and bus nila meron signs and my nagsasabe kung ano na yung next stop. Nag train nga lang kami papunta at pauwi from Disneyland eh.  :)

· Take the Airport Bus A21 at Bus Stop 13 going to HK Airport.

Note: Yan yung original itinerary namin. Then yung Wong Tai Sin Temple tsaka Chi Lin Nunnery and Nan Lian Garden na lang ang ginawa naming Day 1. :)

By the way, hindi na rin kami nag-Star Ferry Cruise. Hehe

Bossini polo shirt                59-79HKD ea.

P.S. Biggest help sa akin in planning is the Hong Kong For Dummies (Part X yata yung pinaka-recent) sa PinoyExchange. Search for it na lang with regards to info about hotels or hostels. We chose a hotel/guesthouse since it's cheaper and tulugan lang hanap namin. Maliit ang rooms sa HK. Importante, malinis and safe naman sa tinuluyan namin.

sisses MiMi ni Curt and sexymomma, ayaw niyo mag-DIY ng planning a trip? hehe :) napaka-tourist friendly kasi ng HK. hindi kayo mahihirapan. first time namin ni hubby dun last Feb, ako lang nagplan ng itinerary. lahat kasi ng places puwedeng marating dahil sa MTR (railway system nila). tapos they provide free maps pa. yung mga tours na available kasi, they include a visit to a jewellery shop na ang expensive ng mga tinda. at you can manage your time pa. ;)

just my two cents mga sis. :D

Mas exciting hehe.. Though I havent tried pa talaga yung tours since lahat ng travels namin kami lang nagpplan.. hehe..

sige sisses :) naexcite lang ako, pero next year pa ako more than one year pa hahaha :D by the way mommies na nagsama na mga toddler nila okay lang ba sa hostel tumira? yun ang plano ko eh, kasi kapag nung nagpunta kami ng Boracay guesthouse kami tumira maayos naman naging sitwasyon namin :D

sa HK ba HOSTEL-GUESTHOUSE dito sa PHI? :) thanks

Post by: ainge88 on July 30, 2011, 04:16:43 am
Kami sa hostel titira :) kasama si NJ. I'm praying na okay and malinis. Did my research naman and it seems okay dun :) basta kami naman may kama na malinis keri na kami dun! Haha BTW, Dragon hostel yung name. Booked a 6pax room. 4kami tapos si baby, added one more person na lang para hindi sikip kasi usually sakto lang talaga space dun, although for sleeping lang talaga yun, wanted NJ to be comfortable naman.

Waah! Sis vanenie! Pagaya naman ng excel! Hehe DIY itenerary lang din kami para we can choose kung saan. Kaso sa october pa kami and no sale :( so mas okay mamasyal kasi tingin ko if walang sale, mas mura pa rin dito. Hehe

Nakakuha kasi kami ng zero fare. Lol. Sana hindi mahirapan kasi dala si NJ. 4N3D kami dun, gabi kasi yung alis namin dito.

I'm not so sure with Hostel Sis, we tried kc ng husband ko na maghostel sa HK since recommend ng PEX naman, the place is clean naman and very friendly kaya lang masikip, sakto lang talaga hehe.. hindi ko lang alam pag bigger group na hehe..
Title: Re: HK Disneyland trip
Post by: vanenie on July 30, 2011, 08:55:07 am

:) at along Nathan Road siya. walking distance sa lahat, kainan man or shopping centers.

we stayed until the park closed at 8pm. nagyayaya na nga siya na umalis at wag na hintayin yung fireworks kasi gustong mamili ng pasalubong. e gusto ko makita yun! ayun, he was glad naman na we stayed. nakakaiyak din yung fireworks e. haha! emotional? :o at ang magical pa lalo kasi Valentine's Day yun. :) we never spend Valentine's Day. ayun ang first time that we celebrated it. hihi

okay enough kuwento na.  :-X napahaba. sorry mga sis.  :D

Post by: ainge88 on July 31, 2011, 09:46:28 am
Naku! :p

May friends kami na dancers dun sa disney and they can score frre tickets! Yay! Sana lang talaga. Para walang gastos. Hahaha

Nung 2008 pumunta kami HK, we didn't get to go to disney :( kasi puro shopping kami nun.

Haha

sis aingge88 why don;t you bring NJ's stroller? I have read numerous accounts of moms bringing their babies' strollers when going abroad. I'm sure very useful yung stroller since lahat e puwedeng lakarin sa HK. ;)
Title: Re: HK Disneyland trip
Post by: ainge88 on July 31, 2011, 09:34:13 pm
Nakakatakot kasi baka masikip? Tsaka mabilis maglakad mga tao dun. Haha pero I think we'll bring yung umbrella stroller lang niya. Para kahit masikip keri na. ;)

Thanks sis vanenie! :)

:D sis ano bang IT mo? baka pwedeng pakopya since toddler din si NJ :)

Wow!

Just visit http://www.mythoughtsinletters.com/category/travel/ (http://www.mythoughtsinletters.com/category/travel/) to get some ideas.:D

sis ainge88, yep was able to buy souvenirs na for family, friends and officemates pero not really super shopping kasi puro pasyal lang ginawa namin. We stayed at Jetvan Travellers House (http://www.jetvan.com/) in Causeway Bay, HDK500/night un room namin then un friend namin na mag-asawa with their 1 yeard old kid HKD 350/night. Everything naman is accessible through train kaya carry lang. Were are you staying sis? Check mo na san bus stop kayo malapit so you can just take the bus from the airport instead of the train which is HKD 100 compared to HKD 40. And don't forget to get your octopus cards sa airport, if your intending to use the train around HK.

Yep enjoy sa Disney (even maliit hehe), don't skip the Lion King Show, Mickey's Philharmagic (4D), Winnie the Pooh ride and of course un Fireworks and Parade. Enjoy naman un bagets na kasama namin lalo na nun parade, bale its her first birthday celebration kasi.

If your going to ngong ping 360, there's a mall there yung citygate puro outlet stores yun sis. Mainit nun andun kami so i suggest check mo din muna un weather nila before kayo umalis.

Enjoy sis  :)

Huhuhu kami maulan!! Lintek na pedring :( sinusundan kami! Haha

Sa dragon hostel in mongkok sis, cheap kasi hehe tipid mode since tutulugan lang naman basta clean and tidy keri na!

Did you try the ladies market? ;) may kasama kasi ako baby so laspag naman siya if I bring her along shopping pa.

Yes yes! We know how to get to our hostel na, may instructions na sinend sakin thru mail yung manager. :) thanks sis, we will go with the bus!

Super excited na ako na ewan! Haha

anyone here who has suggestions on where to stay in HK?we were planning to go there on april next year. i wanted to book early. and also, it's just a DIY travel with my hubby. it's our first time. i don't wanna ruin it because we don't have idea the costs of hotel or motel in HK..any suggestions?

Hi! Try Imperial Hotel in Kowloon. It's along Nathan Road so super near the shopping places. It's one of the cheaper hotels. 15k for 4 days, 3 nights. Try booking in agoda.com :) When choosing your hotel, choose one that's near tsim sha tsui (kowloon side). Are you planning to go to disneyland too?

Ay yep sis ainge88 andun nga daw sya sa HK, signal number 8 nga daw dun today. Oct 1 pa naman kayo diba, baka ok na weather by that time.

Nako sis di na kami kumain sa Mongkok eh, nakapagdinner na kasi kami when we went there. If your going sa Ngong Ping, sa City Gate may foodcourt dun na different cuisines (Singaporean, Indian, Japanese, Chinese), try nyo dun. And  tipid tip, may grocery sa HK Wellcome un name nagsell sila ng cooked Chinese food in disposable food keepers (good for 2-3) price HKd15-30. We tried their Yang Chow, Sweet and Sour pork and Peking duck. Sa hostel nalang namin kinain.

Ingat kayo sis and enjoy  :)

hi mamacharis, from TST to Disneyland you can take the MTR. Take Tsuen Wan Line in TST Station to Central Station. In Central Station there's a connection going to Hong Kong Station where you can take the Tung Chung Line get off to Sunny Bay Station to change to Disney Resort Line. There would be signs so you won't get lost. The link below would be helpful.

Title: Re: HK Disneyland trip
Post by: ainge88 on October 05, 2011, 06:17:39 pm

1. bring stroller!!!! yung umbrella stroller kasi medyo masikip yung ibang dadaanan niyo lalo na pag nag MTR kayo so mas magaan mas mabuti :)

2. either stay in Tsim Sha Tsui or Mongkok (i suggest the latter) kasi mas nagenjoy kami sa mongkok. sa Argyle ST. kami and super katabi lang siya ng newtown mall at talagang todo shopping kami plus katabi rin namin yung MTR station and across the street lang yung bus stop ng bus to airport :) clean and safe rin yung building namin hindi siya ganun kaluma pa hehe

3. Bring water containers, although hinid naman ganun kamahal ang bottled water dun, lakaran kasi yun so mapapaod kayo and malakas kami magtubig so mya't maya bili ng bili nung first day namin. nung 2nd day naman, tinago ko yung isang bottle tapos refill lang namin sa hostel namin, they provide clean boiled drinking water and towels din pala.

6. pag 3days lang kayo dun eother decide if sight seeing kayo or shopping hindi kaya ng both, kawawa kayo. unless nasa mongkok ka, like what my friends did, sa umaga kami pasyal tapos gabi shopping sila. pero since kami 4 days we alotted 1 whole day sa shopping lang.

more to come! may gagawin lang ako haha ;)

Continued.

If your hotels or hostels offer tickets for attractions, buy it already. It wil save time and effort. :)

Budget na dala namin 1000 usd since 2 kami ni hubby and si baby under 2 yrs old pa so free pa sa lahat.

sis ainge88, oo nga nakita ko sa website nila sulit ang 2-day visit it only costs 499hkd, while yun one day is 399hkd. kaso plano namin one day visit lang kasi 2days lang stay namin don, actually parang 4days nga e kase alis namin dito friday night at uwi namin monday morning. kaya talagang saturday and sunday lang kami makakagala. sige try namin yun cable car, etc..

e sis pano nga pala tubig ni baby, dun nalang kayo bumili? natakot kasi ko baka masira tyan ni baby e..  :'(
sori OT
Title: Re: HK Disneyland trip
Post by: ainge88 on October 13, 2011, 11:40:01 pm

Title: Re: HK Disneyland trip
Post by: churva! on October 14, 2011, 05:31:58 pm
ok naman sa the peak. maganda ang skyline ng HK. mahaba ang pila yet manageable naman. tapos as in yung peak tram ride lang inavail namin. meron kasing mall sa tabi na libre ang viewing deck hehe.

sa disney naman, yung entrance ticket is good for all rides and attractions. same with ocean park. hindi sya parang sentosa na every ride may bayad. all in na ang tix so might as well maximize it :)

as for the water, pwede naman kayo magbaon or bumili na lang ng bottled water dun sa HK. sa disney, ginto ang presyo ng water. hehe so i suggest baon na lang, then pag nasita sabihin its for the baby.

You can look for a hotel that gives free bottled water anytime of the day as in kahit 10x ka pa kumuha ng bottled water ok lang..we stayed at Eaton Hotel sa Nathan road and  that's one of the amenities that they offered.  ;D

My family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids aged 8 and 2) will be visiting HK from May 31-4 Jun 2012.

We are arriving early morning if May 31 and leaving last flight out on Jun 4.  Can you recommend an itinerary that is suitable for young kids?

Places that we want to visit are Disneyland (with overnite), Ocean Park, The Peak. What other attractions will you suggest for us?

Thanks!

we went there last week with my mom and my 1-1/2-yr-old son, 1 day visit lang. di na kame nagrides, puro pictures lang. with your 2-yr-old, you may bring stroller para magmit mo sa buong trip nyo. di problem pag transport ng stroller sa mtr kase maluwag, happy trip senyo!!!

we went to HK last January with my 10y.o daughter and 7month old baby, sobrang nag enjoy kami kasi first time family overseas trip namin and I did everything in DIY.  We stayed at Golden Crowne TST area, I took 2 double bed room para malaki laki ang space.  The area is really nice kasi halos nandon na lahat for shopping and food tripping.  We had 1 day in Disneyland and 1 day in Ocean Park.  My daughter wants to go back dahil parang bitin ang gala namin dahil super lamig nung January but all in all, we enjoyed so much for our trip.

Walang travel tax and below 2 years old na passenger.  I suggest mas okay ang DIY kasi hawak nyo ang time nyo, mahirap magising ang mga bata pag pagod at saka you can go out anytime anywhere you want.

Kasi we're going to HK this july and i'm trying to look for hostels and hotels.. hirap kasi maghanap ng mga triple room na affordable and reasonable naman pag hotel, kasi 3 adults kami and 1 child.
pag hostels naman, sobrang liliit ng rooms dun.. and im not sure kung safe dun..

Better ang hotel if my kid, as u said maliit tlaga ang hostel.. We've tried it the last time we went to HK. Pero if on a budget puwede na din.. just get the bigger room nalng for hostel. :)

Our family will be there this coming June, 3rd week.

Morning is City Tour.

^depende ito sis kung ano ang main focus niyo when you get there. Are you after the fireworks display lang or maglilibot pa kayo? We went there last March and one day and inallot namin for Disneyland. Since we were travelling with our daughter, we wanted her to experience the rides. it's nicer kung weekday kayo pupunta para medyo less yung tao. Pag half day kasi sis, especially kung sasakay kayo nung rides,, medyo kailangan magallot ng time sa pagpila pa lang. mahirap pag ginawang rush lahat. Also minsan yung photo op with disney characters eh long queue kaya kung magpapapicture kayo kina Mickey, Minnie and some disney characters, time consuming ito.

we'll be going to hk on July, but until now wala pa kameng accommodation. Our original plan isa 1st day check in sa guesthouse then second day in Disneyland hotel so could maximize our stay in HK esp in DL since we'll tagging along our 2 kids.

Q ko lang mga sis, my girl is so fascinated to Disney Princesses' and I read sa DL Hotel that princesses' are in the Hotel lobby and whatnot dun lang ba namin sila pwede ma "meet and greet?" (coz if yes, mukhang sa DL hotel talaga kami, i'm also thinking our budget din)

and can you recommend a good resto sa disneyland not too pricey naman.

Thank You

our family will be there on october 29 to nov 2 (5D4N)..we opted to avail of the package because ayaw talaga mag-agree ni hubby na mag-diy kahit sabihin kong cheaper yun, ayaw daw nyang maligaw dun with our toddler in tow ;D i thought pag 2 years old wala pang babayaran, meron na pala haha although ang rate is lower by almost 200 dollars compared sa rate ng adults..we're still trying to negotiate with the travel agency if we could spend 1 whole day sa ocean park (ang nasa package kasi half day lang) and according to MIL mukhang pagbibigyan naman daw (sana hehe, anyway suking suki naman ang inlaws ko dun sa agency)...there will be 1 free day so we're planning to go to macau pa...exciting because this will be the first out of the country trip for my son, yun na din ang birthday treat namin sa kanya :)

Sa sobrang dami ng tao,  i doubt it if they would even notice you!  You would just be sleeping there anyway and would be out sa HKDL park most of the time...  just do it discreetly.

Went to HK last June 2012 (5D/4N).  Stayed at Kimberly Hotel, Kowloon.  2nd day, we went to HK Disneyland by MTR (train).  MTR costs HK$16 (2 adults & 2 kids) one way.  Bought tickets in advance here thru travel agency.

ADVISE LANG.  Don't go to HongKong during Summer Season (that is probably June to August.

I guess the pocket money will depend on how long and where they are staying in HK.  Meanwhile airfare  depends on the season.  Usually lowest fof the months of June to July.  You may check  various airline  websites for  airfare cost.

Stayed at HKDL Hollywood Hotel last June,  reserved on line using Visa.  There was a promo then, 15-20% off if you use your Visa Card.   Yes they charge yiu in full upon confirmation of your stay.

^exactly the reason why we decided to move our travel to last week of november (instead of last week of oct) para the weather is colder na and more comfortable for us esp kasama namin si baby....we've already booked our tour with our travel agent, included na ang airfare,  accomodation at BP International hotel, airport transfers plus disneyland and ocean park tickets...we'll stay there for 6D5N, 1 whole day is alloted for disneyland, then another day for ocean park,  the rest puro free days na so may time pa for us to go to macau  :)

hi mga sis, share ko experience namin sa HK: DIY ko lang sya- total cost ng stay namin dun is around 50K including airfare and accomodation for 3 pax, (Me, hubby and 5 y/o son).

Day 1-  am- arrival and check in sa hostel sa Causeway Bay- very accessible sat MTR/Bus station. walking      distance from the hostel

Bring a lot of water and biscuits kc mahal ang tinda dun sa loob ng DL. ;D..  Take note of the schedules of the shows para mabalikan nyo...

Day 3- Ocean Park- as in mainit din pero ride pa rin kami. Whole day din kami dun, pero yung adrenalin very lkow na kc pagod sa DL eh.. Bring din a lot of water and biscuits kc mahal din food dun sa loob.

Day 4- wala na so tired na, ng tambay na lang kami sa Victoria Park all day before going to the airport,..

Plan to go back to HK pag 7 or 8 na siguro yung son ko, para mas ma enjoy niya..

We're scheduled to go to HongKong on nov.16-19.

HK Disneyland talaga ang target namin so 1 whole day iaallot namin for that, planning to spend our Saturday there. Marami ba masyadong tao dun pag Saturday?

Do you have suggestions on where we could go ng Sunday? Ok ba ang OceanPark?

Any suggestion din for a good place to stay? Yung cheap lang sana but clean and accessible sa transpo. I'll be traveling with my hubby, our 2yr old son and MIL.

Magkano ba dapat ang budget? Mura ba bilihin sa HK? Last year kasi sa SG kami nagpunta, 50K yung budget namin sobra sobra pa. Kasama na dun yung hotel, food, shopping, USS, etc. 5 days kami nagstay dun. yung 50K kaya kasya na din sa HK provided less than 4 days lang kami pero plus 1 pax since kasama c MIL.

Sorry dami ko tanong ah. Excited lang for the trip kahit medyo matagal pa.

JAC,

Nag-SG din kami ni hubby 2 years ago, honeymoon namin.....33.00 ang rate ng 1 sg dollar.....Sa HK naman po eh 5-6.00 equivalent to 1 hk dollar......

Mas mataas ang value ng SG money compared sa HK dollars kaya baka sobra na yang money niyo sis....But since masarap mag-shopping sa HK eh baka tama lang din yan...Or kulangin pa hehe. Depende po sa pag-shoshopping niyo.... Hotel booking kung 5 star hotel ba to, food and other expenses....

Enjoy your trip sis...

Kami po Between Feb-April plan mag-HK.....Ako, si hubby at baby namin na 1 1/2 yrs. old na that time....

@mommy Maureen- yung sa HK DL- entrance dun HKD 399/ adlut and 285/child- try mo buy ticket online and earlier baka my discount. SA Ocean Park naman i got a discounted ticket kc pagbaba namin ng MTR meron ng bebenta ng ticket at discounted price HKD 75 yung na discount ko, pang kain na rin un.. pero yung regular price is HKD 280/ adult and  HKD140 yata/ child... Just take note mahal yung food sa loob ng Disney at Ocean park. Water pa lang is HKD 20 so if talagang very thirsty ka u need 5 bottles ( 5x20x6=  600 pesos for water..

;D.. Just stay near sa train station buhay ka na dun, pruo kc kami MTR and bus.. yung sa mga ticket, try mo maghanap online if my mga discountys, sabi kc nila if you buy tickets earlier my discount... yung tinirhan kc namin sa my causeway bay  walking distance sa train and bus station very accessible, mura pa sya., mga 6,500 pesos for 3 nights, dun banda yung mga mamahaling shopping center, just below the apartelle na tinuluyan namin e mga stalls ng branded cloths like CK/ Burberry/Armani etc..

hi mommymaureen!

tama si mommy dhoodz very tourist friendly ang hongkong. we went there last June and di kami nagtravel agency or nagavail ng package. Me and hubby did all the planning. What we did is naggawa kami ng sarili namin na Itinerary and sobra ok talaga compared dun sa magaavail ka ng may tour guide pa. One thing I dont like with tour guide is even if gusto mo pa magstay sa isang place di pwede kasi you have to leave at the same time. And di kayo mawawala kasi HK have lots of signage kung where are you or kung saan way ka pa pupunta :). Same here, my daughter is just 1.6 months when we went there. Pero di naman kami nahirapan ako pala kasi si hubby ang may dala sa kanya all the time. We didnt bring her stroller kasi hindi niya talaga gusto stroller. But if your child is comfortable sa stroller you might want to bring it. It is also nicer to stay in the hotels na malapit sa mtr stations kasi grabe talaga ganda ng transportation nila dun. :)

Post by: imeego on September 24, 2012, 10:53:45 am
i agree, DIY na lang kung kaya naman...sa amin kasi, ako ang may gusto ng DIY pero ayaw ni hubby so travel agent nag-arrange ng tour namin this november...although what we availed from the agency is not the usual package na ino-offer, like may compulsory city tour na sayang sa time etc...so bale ang inclusions sa amin ay RT airfare, hotel with breakfast inside the hotel (yung iba kasi bigyan ka lang ng coupon tapos breakfast ka sa mcdo ;D), whole day disneyland (until fireworks) and ocean park tours, with airport transfers and transfers to and from the theme parks....actually, yung transfers lang ata ang habol ng husband ko, ayaw niya mahirapan mag-commute with our toddler in tow hehe...pero may 2 free days din so we can do whatever we want on our own na...  btw, i agree na mas tipid talaga pag DIY kasi i tried mock booking and lumalabas na around 20-25k sana ang masi-save namin if kami ang nag-book (same airline and hotel yan ha)..sayang kasi pwede ng additional shopping allowance yun, but since we'll be travelling with our baby, so hubby decided na sa agency na lang...anyway, check this site mga sis, may list ng hotels and indicated dyan yung distance ng hotel from the MTR ;)

1st Day-- Rest and  City Tours...As in pasyal-pasyal.....:)
  2nd Day- Disneyland
  3rd Day Ocean Park
4th Day--- punta sanang Macau kung kaya pa ng time and budget...Tapos uwi napo....

Problem ko sis, yung transfers.....Kasama namin si Baby at yun nga, baka magdala kami stroller though di rin sya sanay...Kaso pag nsa DL and OP kami need namin stroller....Otherwise mapapagod kami kakakarga kay baby eh ang bigat niya pa naman kase malaman......

Si hubby pa naman, pagurin at parang walang hilig umikot...To think na seaman pa sya ha....Di mahilig umikot talaga yun....

Nag-honeymoon kami sa SG 2 years ago at unti palang nalalakad namin, pagod na daw sya at stay nalang kami sa hotel hehe....Nyekkkk! Sabi ko,ok kalang? Sayang binayad natin kaya need natin sulitin to..Yung yung time na may nangyari dito Pinas sa mga hongkong people sa bus. Good thing sa SG kami nag-honeymoon...Kung HK kami noon eh grabe daw discrimnation that time eh huhuhu  :(

fashionistamom and imeego, ok ba mga taxi doon?
Title: Re: HK Disneyland trip

^naku sorry sis sa nov pa trip namin, pero sa mga nabasa ko ok naman ang MTR, very easy to use and commuter-friendly, and most places naman covered by the MTR, you just have to know yung directions and nearest MTR exits sa places na pupuntahan nyo..another option is the bus...pag taxi i think mapapamahal ka unless very short distance lang at flagdown rate lang ang babayaran, pero yun nga less pagod :) tip lang, make sure na lang na may malapit na MT exit/station and bus stop sa hotel/hostel nyo para convenient ang pag-travel...kami di na magdadala ng stroller, di kasi sanay si baby, baka ang mangyari eh dagdag lang na bibitbitin namin, pero bumili kami ng carrier niya para di naman sumakit braso namin sa pagkarga ;)
Title: Re: HK Disneyland trip

Hi Mommymaureen!

Bili ka na lang ng octopus card sa HK airport it's up to you kung how much iloload mo. You can use that card pambayad sa mtr stations, minsan sa mga groceries and resto and buses also. During our trip nga kahit last kami makapasok ng MTR lagi kami nakakaupo kasi they always give way to people who have babies with them maski si hubby nakakaupo hehe.. Ganun sila kabait... hehe

Enjoy your vacation!

^halos kasabay ata natin sila sis sa weather kasi yung bagyo na pedring last year inabutan namin dun then si quiel naman nakasalubong namin nung pabalik na kami dito. napansin ko sa HK nationwide ang declare nila ng typhoon signal nila, like nung pumunta kami dun signal#8 so sarado lahat buti nga yung hotels bukas pero mga shops and attractions sarado, and since centralize sila buong HK signal#8 kahit pa dun sa part na hindi naman maulan

How much po kaya ang aabutin ng transpo kapag 7-8adults and 3 kids (2-4yo)

How much po kaya ang total cost kasama food and accomodation? Para po kasi mag-iipon na ko now. Balak ko po kasi i-treat yung family ko since never pa kami nakakasakay lahat sa airplane :-)

mga 2days 3nights po kaya?
or 1wk?

any advice po mga sis and mommey kelai

@Blueaby yep roudtrip na yan with baggage and seats na rin. You just need to add the airport ta and terminal fee which is around P2.2k per head. I got our tickets nung Oct pa sa P10 seat sale ng Cebu Pac.

For the budget naman, it really depends pero parang ang dami nyo. I don't think makakabook ka online. You  might need a travel agent for group packages. May cheap hotels din sa HK pero since may kids you may have to settle for a nice hotel para comfortable sila. PM ko syo budget namin for a group of 5 (2kids 7&3, 3 adults). Ok na din 3D2N or 4D3N. Masyado matagal ang 1 week lalo na with kids.

Sabi tentattve daw ng March 14 uwi niya...At kung wala n naman kapalit eh baka April n umuwi un...No no no no!!

April 22-26 p naman kami naka-sched sa HK...

Hi mga mommies... Do you really suggest magDIY tour na lang kaysa kumuha ng packages sa mga travel and tours. May nagquote sa akin for april sana 3D and 2N 12,888/head. 3 kids(8,7,1)  kami at 2 adults. Sa tingin nyo mura / reasonable na yon? TIA

Mommymauraeen you can't rebook a promo ticket  :(

Mommy Shelly: kame kasi never nagbook ng tours pero it might be suitable for you since you'll be bringing 3 kids along. Yung mga tours may mandatory tipping yan sa driver and tour guide also there are tours na mandatory din. Just be sure to ask in detail para hindi ka magulat.

kelai- Ang sabi naman inclusive of tippings.. May friend naman kami sa hongkong that will assist us for the hotel booking if we wanted. Yan two way tickets na lang ang hahanapin ko. If you can help me with that I will appreciate it very much...

Hello mga Mommies! Kung may kasama kayong kids lalo na at first time nyo to go to HonKong, better arrange everything here in the Philippines.

I am working in a travel agency and can make a customized HK package for your family :).

@ lovebeingmom

im still thinking if we go on DIY na lang or avail na lang ng package tour. pero natatakot din ako na baka mahirapan nga kami if DIY kasi wala talaga ako alam sa hongkong. but most of my friends sinasabi na madali nga lang sa hongkong.

Sabi kasi nila mahal daw kapag package tapos di mo hawak ang time mo. Anyways, i will appreciate so much if you can help me. Travel namin will be on June 5-8 sa cebu pacific, me and my husband with our kids ages 10 and 7.(actually di pa sure si hubby kasi "its complicated" ang status namin ngayon, kaya eto hindi makapag final ng plans)

Thank you in advance!

ako din mga sis, hindi pa din ako makapag decide kung kukuha kami ng package sa travel agency or diy, gusto ng husband ko kumuha ng travel agency, ako naman gusto ko mag diy kasi gusto ko rin mag explore, maglakaslakad dun, parang ang sarap ng feeling. nag pa quote na ko sa agency, 4d3nights with breakfast,r/t hotel transfer. city tour disneyland, its 9,500per person.sa shamrock hotel.  so 19k samin dalawa.pero bakit ganun mga sis, nung nag pa quote ako sa shamrock mismo, 14k for 4days and 3nights. wala pang breakfast citytour and disneyland.bakit parang mas mahal. diba dapat makatipid ako.kasi akokasi nag direct ako sa hotel?

kelan ang travel niyo sis?

^Mommy jan-den

We stayed sa Disney Hollywood Hotel on our 1st night para convenient sa kids. Nagcab kame from the airport. We transferred to Golden Crown the next day.

If straight from the airport sa Golden crown kayo mag check in ride the bus A21 tapos you'll go down sa Kimberly-nathan Road in TST. Walking distance na lang yun. When you see citibank and standard chartered nasa gitna sya. Sobrang accessible.

Magandang Araw @mommy jan_den! Sorry late response, please send me your email add, you can email me at bella@i-travelandevents.com for more details din.

Magandang araw din sau Mommy @neth29! Kaya po minsan mas mahal pag nag online booking ka sa hotel, iba po kasi ang tinatawag nilang rack rate, most of the time mas mahal un kesa sa mga travel agents lalo na pag mas malapit.

If you're planning pala to travel by June, start na ng summer nila so mas maraming activities, mas marang conference and conventions, so definitely po mas mahal ang rate especially ng mga hotels...

Just email  me na lang po, if you need help :)

Thank you!

How old are your kids? Also may ibang adult ba kasama? If ikaw lang baka mahirapan ka maglagay and baba ng gamit nyo.  Yes may lalagyan naman sa bus pero syempre you'll be the one to carry them inside at ilagay sa mga lalagyan. Tapos kame we had to si sa taas kase wala na sa baba. We had 2 medium luggages, 2 backpacks, 1 baby bag, stroller and hubbys huge camera bag.

I have the same question... Also, I want to travel with my family, pero tinatakot ako ng daughter ko na baka daw ma-discriminate lang daw kami dun.

@ mommy maricar

when we went there last June 5-8 wala naman kami na experience na discrimination. actually ang friendly pa nga nila dun. She get my card tapos dinala niya sa customer service ng MTR nila. Ng maging ok na yung card, i just thank you so much. Hindi ko alam kung naintindihan niya pero she just smiled at me tapos umalis na. Nakakatuwa yung experience na yun. They were friendly, Discrimination happens anywhere kahit dito sa atin minsan nangyayari din yun. Pero hindi naman siguro ganun ka-grabe. Basta act friendly and kind din tayo sa kanila.. :)
