Title: laoag vigan and pagudpud
Post by: michi247 on May 23, 2010, 06:41:39 pm

malayo ba ang laoag to vigan?

TIA for any feedback.

hi mommy michi247...

laoag to vigan is about an hour...halos magkakalapit naman sa vigan yung mga pasyalan, like calle crisologo, baluarte, villa angela...pwede trike o kaya kalesa...on your way to vigan (from laoag) pwede kayo dumaan sa marcos museum, then paoay church...sa laoag naman, you can visit malacanang of the north (close ata every monday) and sand dunes..

masarap magtour sa ilocos kung may sasakyan kasi marami pwede puntahan...but i suggest dun na lang kayo mag rent kc ok pa rin kung magplane kayo going to and from ilocos...halos 10 hours rin kasi ang travel by land...isama mo na rin pasyalan ang pagudpud...marami pang pwede makita dun like bangui windmills, cape bojeador, blue lagoon...for me ok na ang 3 days kung may sasakyan kayo dun...maiikot nyo na ang vigan, laoag, pagudpud...pero medyo nakakapagod lang...

we stayed at fort ilocandia before...yung rate nila per day which is P5k+ now is usually on a promo - buy 1 take 1...so parang 2 nights na rin...sarap pa ng breakfast...buffet :)

regards.

wala kami tour guide sa laoag and vigan.
Last year kami nagpunta dun. Medyo mali ginawa namin kasi diretso kami pagudpud from nueva ecija. Kapagod dahil by land. Mas mainam vigan overnyt para malibot nyo lahat pag medyo pahapon na at di masyado mainit.tas sa umaga on the way to pagudpud madadaanan nyo naman sa laoag yung ibang tourist spots.tas pagdating nyo pagudpud marerelax ka talaga lalo na kung nature lover ka.c",). Hannah's beach resort tinuluyan namin dun and ang tourist guide namin is john andayan ang name. Recommend ko sya kasi mabait and helpful talaga.
Enjoy ur vacation sis!

hello...wala kami tour guide that time...yung zoo ni chavit, that's baluarte....walang entrance fee...and pwede pa magpony ride kids...baluarte is about 15 to 20 mins from town proper...pwede ka na nga mag kalesa going there....huwag mo na paantayin kc ichacharge ka pa ng time...marami naman kalesa dun going back to calle crisologo...

i've been to vigan once, nung di pa ako nag-aasawa. my mother is from Ilocos Sur kaya isang beses, nung nagbakasyon kame, nagkayayaan na pumunta ng vigan.. as far as i can remember 30 mins lang yung biyahe namin from Santa to Vigan.

OT: alam mo, masarap may kayakap sa biyahe.. kase matagal eh! 8 to 9 hours from Manila!  ;D :-*

Hi mga Sis!

Punta kami sa ilocos on April 7 to 10, with my husband and three kids. My kids age 7 to 10 y.o., so they know how to read and surf the net.  Kaya they help me do our iterinary.  So far, I already confirm our reservation at Hotel Salcedo in Vigan for April 7, then we're planning to stay in Apo Idon (Pagudpud) on April 8 to 10, kaso medyo me kamahalan. Any suggestion, please?

August 19-21 Road Trip - Manila-La Union-Vigan-Laoag-Pagudpud

Manila to La Union 6 hours drive (alis kami 1:30am, nakarating kaming La Union ng 630am)...dropped by my husband's relatives.

La Union - Vigan 3 hours drive
Vigan Tour:  Just ride a kalesa and they will tour you around.  (1) Bantay Bell Tower; (2) Syquia's Mansion (where Pres. Quirino stayed); Crisologo's Residence; Heritage Village; atbp.

Left Vigan 4:30pm - arrived at Laoag 7:45pm

So far the best yun Isabel Suites at mura pa with breakfast pa.

Before you leave Laoag, daanan niyo yun Sinking Bell Tower at Laoag Sand Dunes.

Next day, biyahe kami Pagudpud.  On the way makikita mo yung Bangui Windmill and Lighthouse.

Before leaving Pagudpud, dapat makita niyo yun Patapat Viaduct medyo malayo nga lang.

Fort Ilocandia Resort Hotel is a bit expensive kaya ask for discount.

Bago kami umuwi Manila, we dropped by Marcos Museum, Malacanang of the North and buy royal bibingka at Tongson's Vigan.

Sobrang sira sira daan sa Tarlac at Pangasinan dito kami medyo bumagal papunta at pauwi (at umuulan pa)

been there last feb 2011 sobrang mura naman kasi ng fare sa cebupac 196 pesos lang 2 na kami ni hubby balikan pa so grab na kami. we stayed sa java hotel in laoag ok naman rates nila that time alam ko may free breakfast din hindi nga lang buffet. may service sila dun cant remember exactly kung 3500 yung rent namin sa ssakyan innova ata yung gamit sayang nga dalawa lang kami ni hubby kasi same rate kahit ata 6 kayo, ginawa na lang nung driver laoag-vigan na niya kami tour para sulit daw and since dalawa lang kami madami nga kami napuntahan wala ng antayan and super picture taking :) . then nagbus na lang kami papuntang pagudpod mga 1 hr din byahe sa bus we stayed at hanna's ok din yung resort super lakas lang ng alon kaya di mo maenjoy ang beach pang surfing nga daw kasi ata talaga yung beach dun, dun lang kami tuloy sa tabi tabi hehe. may nag tour din samin dun tricycle nga lang hehe pero ok na din 200 lang ata bayad may mga destinations na talaga kung sa kayo dadalhin so napuntahan namin din lahat ng tourist spot sa pagudpod. dun sa hannah's ang mahal ng food sobra yung driver nung tricycle may nirecommend na din sya samin kung gusto daw namin makatipid, pwede magpaluto dun sa mga kainan sa labas not sure kung may lutong ulam na sila pero parang by request talaga, like samin after ng tour dinaan niya kami dun para magrequest kung ano gusto namin kainin for dinner then what time tapos bumalik na lang kami malapit lang din naman sa hanna's yun, decent naman yung food and malaking mura nga sya compare sa resto ng hannah. super lamig lang nung lumabas kami that night grabe as in sumusuot sa buto ata yung ginaw, malamig kasi that time tapos sabayan pa ng super lakas na hangin ng dagat, yes sa shore ka maglalakad, good thing nakapag paluto kami ng sinigang so mainit init yun nga lang mabilis lumamig pagka serve sa lamig nga ng panahon sa labas hehe.. you can try mga promo sa airlines unlike kasi sa bora and palawan, yung laoag trip bumababa talaga ang fare malaking tipid din yun sa bulsa and sa time 45mins travel time lang kasi

We went to Ilocos last June 27. Kasama ko husband ko, my parents and our 3-year-old daughter. Super sulit ang biyahe. We booked a barkada room in Mira de Polaris Hotel (Laoag) for 1,900. We got upgraded to a family suite kasi nag-extend yung nag-occupy ng room the day before we arrived. It was a blessing in disguise kasi may kitchen sink, personal ref, counter and living room (with sofa bed) yung family suite. Our room was clean and comfortable. May free breakfast for 2 pax.

Sa Pagudpud, we stayed in Evangeline's Beach Resort. It was a good choice. They provided us with a spacious room with veranda, personal ref, electric kettle, free coffee and breakfast for 4 pax. We paid 2,400 per night.

Sa Vigan, we stayed in Cordillera Inn for a night. Maganda din dun. Though it was old, malinis naman. May free breakfast din for 4 pax and located siya sa Calle Crisologo.
