good day mga moms! question lang po regarding sa philhealth benefits:
a. diba may maternity benefit na ngayon na 2,500 for the hospital charges and 2,000 for the pf? meaning ba nito ay di ko na ma-aavail yung sa in-patient benefit? (ex. 400/day for the room, 3000 for the labs, etc.)

thanks po! your inputs would be of great help to me! :D

Title: Philhealth questions related to pregnancy
Post by: tashiana's_mom on October 05, 2008, 09:06:24 pm
I'm on my 4th-month pregnant for my 2nd child and I want to make sure i'll be able to avail of the SSS and Philhealth benefits.
Question ko lang is, how can I avail the Pre-natal benefits (Philhealth)? can i avail it right now, everytime na magpapa-checkup ako? What are the requirements? Also, do I need to have my monthly check-up to avail this?

Thanks in advance!

Are you employed? Sa SSS dapat i-inform mo sila that you are pregnant, you need to fill up a maternity notification form together with ultrasound pics. if you are employed, sa HR ka magsubmit ng required documents at sila dapat ang maglalakd non sa SSS. You will be issued a check (depende sa magiging computation nila, CS or norman delivery) by your company, SSS na ang magbabayad sa company mo ng benefits na to, kumbaga eh iya-advance lang ng employer mo. You will need to fill out a form and submit it before ka lumabas. Need mo dito ng schedule of contribution mo, hingiin mo to sa HR ninyo.

Better talk to your HR officers about this para mas maliwanag.

Pag my ultrasound or Transv ka you can ask MAT-1 sa HR nyo then fill-up the MAT-1 form attached with your ultra sound..

Sample Computation daw:

If your basic salary is P10,000/mo

10,000 basic /25 working days= 400 per day * 60 days of leave = 24,000.00 (yan e estimation lang naman)

Like me in Antipolo Doctors approx 25-30K Normal birth yun tanggal na Philhealth nun.

Sis,

If I remember correctly, fix amout yta sa CS ay 14K. I wasn't able to claim my philihealth last year when I gave birth via CS kc kulang ng isang buwan ang contribution. Dapat complete one year ang contribution mo before ka manganak.

sa akin P9K plus lang for hospital bill only...nagtaka rin ako bakit walang binawas na philhealth sa Medical Team PF (OB and Anes) kz sa hospital cashier ko na rin inabot ang bayad ng Medical
Team...after receiving my BPN from philhealth, nakita ko na ang binayaran ko palang PF was net of philhealt na...so, sis cassie, dapat ask mo sa OB mo if net of Philhealth or subject to philhealth pa ang babayaran mong PF if ang mangolekta ng PF is yong hospital...my Ob and I talked just recently and told me na papatungan ng hospital ang PF ng doctors pag ang hospital ang mangongolekta so better daw iabot direct to OB ang bayad...

hi there! Same ako ni mommy 1sttime_mom. I received 8k from philhealth. Actually, after 1month tsaka ko lang na-file un and after 6months i received the confirmation. yung 8k na un for hospital bill only. May akaindicate dun na mga 8k din for my OB's team. When i claimed the cash from the casier of the hospital, sabi nila hindi raw un kasali. then they said na tanungin ko yung OB ko. Then I asked my OB regarding that, he said hindi naman daw nagamit un... I dont exactly what he said but hindi ko na lang ininsist..

Then yun nga 14K sa hospital bills. So 21K lahat makukuha sa philhealth.

when I gave birth sa first baby ko we paid mga 40K sa hospital bills less 8K na philhealth separate yung payment namin for the OB and Anesthesiologist wala na kaming deduction sa philhealth sa PH nila kc we ask for a discount then no receipt anymore. all in all we spend mga 105 for emergency CS and staying for 5 days in the hospital.

Sis, puwede parin mag claim yung sister mo kahit resigned niya sya. If OK sa company niya, before she will leave the company handa niya yung mga documents needed. Pa-sign niya na yung mga Philhealth claim forms tpos hingi sya nung certification for contribution niya kung wala pa syang MDR. As long as updated yung contribution niya hindi puwede mawala yung benefits niya.

Hope this helps...

Hello Mommy. :)

I already got my Philhealth reimbursement. I gave birth last June 11 then dumating sa bahay yun check last September. Eksakto nga kasi I was planning to follow it up kasi sabi after 3 to 4 months. Buti na lang after exactly 3 months, I got it na. Kasi pwede mo pa i-attach yun receipts ng expenses mo when you get out of the hospital. Like yun fees ng NBS ni baby, consultation fee namin 1 week after, medicines ko, etc. naisama ko yun sa pag-claim. So okay yun naibalik sa akin. Just make sure na properly filled up yun claim forms mo then walang magiging problem. But I think in your sister's case na resigned na sya or mag-reresign na, magsusubmit ng proof of regular contributions. Or medyo matatagalan kasi Philhealth will check pa her record, especially if naka-ilan na sya employers for example.

Visit their Website also. Hope I somehow helped you and your sister. :)

Ah yes sis one more thing, if wala pa MDR sister mo and if kaya pa naman niya na pumunta sa Philhealth then punta sya. Mas mabilis kasi kapag may MDR na sya. One sheet of paper lang yun. Then bibigyan na rin sya ng ID.

One day processing lang yun kapag pregnant. Special treatment. Ako nun after lunch pumunta tapos hindi na ako pinapila eh sobrang dami tao nun then inuna talaga yun papers ko. Tatanungin ka kasi when due date mo. Ako nun 8 months pregnant na so alam nila na rin that they need to process your MDR na agad. Natapos ako almost 3 pm. Kung sa iba sis na hindi pregnant or lalaki, days or even weeks hihintayin before makuha.

Basta okay naman ang Philhealth. Hindi nila pinasakit ang ulo ko. Hehe. Good luck sa delivery ng sister mo and God bless her and the baby. :)

im not sure sis about resign factor but il share my experience with philhealth - its better if you already prepare all the docs before/while you're in the hospital so they can automatically deduct it in your bill.

the problem kasi e sobrang haba palague ng pila sa philhealth at forever pa before mo mareimburse so its a wise idea na maready mo na -

ask for philhealth form - you can get it at philhealth office ; emplyer ; hospital. then you're employer should sign it.

thats what i can remember sis. hope it helps :)

Title: Philhealth Claim
Post by: momi gly on March 25, 2010, 02:04:49 pm
Hi mommies..
May question ako regarding my philhealth claims. Ganito kasi yun.. before na-discharge sa hospital yung baby ko.. lumapit kami sa PCSO and sa Social Service ng hospital. Bill kasi namin nun is php76000 lahat. Then sinagot ng PCSO yung half then 50% ng remaining yung sinagot naman ng social service.. Yung remaining yung binayaran namin.

Thanks..

Full-time ka ba work sis?

Check with your husband.

if cs:
un outright deduction ba ginawa nio? or
un reimbursement? in my case, i already prepared everything needed reqts para automatic deduction.. Sa Asian me nanganak, yung philhealth deduction depends on the hospital category level, usually pag tertiary malaki nbbawas
how much nabawas? in my case, almost 13k.. yung pagstay n baby sa huggery (nursery) almost 10k parang na-free of charge cia) then me addtional deductions pa from my hospital bill, so parang ako lang bnyaran ko sa confinement..
then, with regards to PF doctors, automatic deduction gnwa nun secretary ni anaes from 22k- 4k (philhealth) = 16k nalang.. in case sa OB ko (free of charge kc me, MIL is OB too and friend niya nagpaanak sakin)

sa palagay nyo ano mas maganda? i suggest autodeduction, reinbursement will take months.. kaya as early as mid8month, prepare m na requirements..

months later after delivery, may lette from philhealth skin dumating asking if ok yung deductions with me then nkbreakdown un dapat nadecut from my bill and doctors' PFs.. so ok naman, yung sa OB ko, nklagay din dun me mkkuha ako, pero ciempre d ko na kunin, 40k na ntipid ko hehe..

Hi sis.. you need to get your philhealth form signed HR ninyo which includes the number of contributions made.
Ipapasa to together with the Philhealth form signed by your doctor / OB. As long as you have these 2 forms, i-deduct na yun sa total bill mo. make sure you have the docs kapag nag-labor ka na.

Mas mahirap kasi na i-claim after manganak yung tipong reimbursement. Mas makakasagot yung HR ninyo sa process. :)

Also, to avail of the Newborn Care Package [Php1000] kailangan ba iba pang claim forms for that or pwede ng isabay sa total deductions sa bill ko at ni baby sa hospital?  :-\

Post by: on August 24, 2010, 12:57:59 pm
I went to our HR office and they gave me three types of forms:

Er2 - contains info about your position, salary, and date of employment. taga-HR ang nag-accomplish nito. sa lower right may space dun for signing ng HR head.
Philhealth Claim Form 1 - (to be signed by someone from Accounting Ofc/Dept or Employer) eto naman atang form na eto e certification na meron kang at least three months contribution sa Philhealth.

Post by: momi gly on August 24, 2010, 02:35:01 pm
@hel.. if philhealth ni mama mo ang gagamitin.. need ng mama mo ng copy ng MDR niya. pwede cyang kumuha nito sa philhealth office. saka if working yung mom mo, hingi siya ng claim form 1 sa company nila at yung list of contribution.. if hindi siya working pwede siya magdownload sa philhealth site. then fillupan niya na lang. tpos punta hingi din siya copy ng contribution niya sa philhealth. xerox copy ng phic ID.

nung nanganak kasi ako since employed ako, binigay sa akin ng hr namin 2 copies ng claim form1 saka list of contribution. yung mdr ko kinuha ko sa philhealth office

for additional info, itanong niyo din yung procedure ng pag-claim in the hospital where you intend to give birth. yung iba, may list na ng mga requirements.

Like with TMC, for outright deduction, i was advised that the primary documents which i need are my MDR and Claim Form 1 (signed).

hindi ko sure kung magkaiba ang amount kung ikaw mismo yung member against being the dependent of the member.

kapag NSD kasi, the usual amount deducted is from Php2500-5000 lang talaga. mas malaki ang deduction if you underwent a CS operation.

Can someone pls. help me with the details?
How can I apply for membership?
How soon can I avail of their benefits if I give birth sa hospital?
Magagamit ko po ba ito to avail discounts sa mga doctors fee and other pregnancy-related hosp. expenses, like ultrasound?

Thank you for your kind help.

hi moonriver, are you working? If you are, your company should have enrolled you in philhealth already as well as with SSS. If not, you can go to any philhealth office to register and pay your contribution.
I think you need to have paid at least 1 yr to be able to file for maternity claim and other benefits. If you register now, i don't know if your membership will be valid for benefits claim for your childbirth this year.
You can go to their website to see the list of benefits under philhealth www.philhealth.com.ph (http://www.philhealth.com.ph)

@jenah
usually talaga MDR ang hinahanap ng hospital if you are filing for a philhealth claim.  nakalagay naman dun yung ID number mo, so i think ok lang na wala kang ID.  di naman hinanap yung ID ko nung na-hospitalize ako last January.

Title: Re: Philhealth Qs related to pregnancy and delivery
Post by: DeeCee on February 07, 2011, 06:23:26 pm
@lady_emelye: regarding dun sa newborn screening, yes, sagot din ng philhealth though hindi ako nakapag avail. kasi i chose to give birth sa local maternity hospital but our pedia was from a private hospital and insisted na yung first vaccine whateves (basta first injection sa baby w/c i forgot) will be from here so we said yes. apparently sabi nung taga mat hosp pwede ko lang ma avail yung free newborn screening per philhealth if they'll be the one to give my baby that injection. so in the end, we paid for the newborn screening sa private hosp.

anyway, basta im sure scope ng philhealth ang newborn screening. kasi i heard din sa ad sa am radio  ;D  (yes, i listen to am radio)

@moonriver: if you are working then  automatically you are entitled para maparegister sa philhealth by your company. if not, you can go naman to the local philhealth office to inquire. they are giving nga free philhealth IDs for our underpriviledged fellows so definitely with you pwede yan, pay kalang contributions.

@jenah: i worked for 5 mons, and i think 3-4 mons lang ata binayaran ng company ko when i checked sa philhealth i had no ID as well when i gve birth but as long as you have the MDR you can avail.  :)

moonriver, if your hubby is working abroad, alam ko compulsory ang philhealth ng OFW. Pwede kayo magclaim under his Philhealth, you as his dependent.

sis ang alam ko ang break down nung 7500 is 2500 sa hospital fee, 2500 profesional fee, 1500 pre natal (reimbursable) and 1000 yung sa baby like new born screening and the like :)

So i guess yung ma less mo is asa 6k outright tas yung 1500 reimbusable :)

yung 1500 kase after mo na manganak to makukuha kumbaga dapat may resibo ka nung mga check ups mo nd sya yung outright panganganak ... better din ask mo sa clinic na panganganakan mo para sure :)

pero nung nanganak ako asa 6k nga na less ko from philhealth nd ko na nagamit yung 1500 kase hmo card ako nung check up :)

if you are employed, before ka ma-discharge, you will need to submit yung MDR (member's data record), Certificate of Contribution and Claim Form 1 (CF1) na filled up by your HR.

I have a question ladies.

My MDR does not say that my wife is a dependent since she has an active membership with Philhealth too. Does that mean that she cannot avail of the benefits? the problem is that she only has 5 months of contribution. and i was hoping to use my philhealth for her benefits. Unfortunately, she is not listed as a dependent.  :(

babyblair - if you will backread sis sa 1st page may nagsabi na if you're below 21 and not yet married, you can use one of your parent's philhealth.. :)

--question: regardless ba ito kung how much nagastos mo sa pre natal check ups, laboratories etc? still P1500 lang talaga marereimburse natin? saka regardless din ba ito kung san ko pinagawa yung labs at pre natal check ups (sa clinic ng OB ko ako nagpapacheck up pero sa affiliated hospital niya ako manganganak)...

good thing i was able to keep receipts ng labs and pre natal check ups ko, except for the vitamins..

Thank you..!

Ang tatanggapin nila is advance.

Kasi what my husband did, Jan-Mar2011 ang una niyang binayaran kasi he thought my previous employer already paid Oct-Dec2010 (i resigned Oct2010). So bungi siya kasi walang hulog ng Oct-Dec2010. We asked my brother's father in law to check if updated ang contri ko (he works for philhealth kasi) and told us kulang yung hulog so he asked hubby to pay OCt-Dec2010, tinanggap naman ni philhealth  ;D i hope they'll allow you sis, i'm just not sure if they allowed us because pwede talaga or dahil may "kakilala", wala naman nabanggit :D

yun yung need na hulugan depende sa salary ng member. since na 300+ ang deduction niya, maybe nasa 24k+ ang sahod niya monthly.  check mo to:

Sis rheign, not the whole benefit is deductible from the bill. Let's say nsd ka, 1.5k is for reimbursment directly to the member only. Meaning you have to show receipts of the maternity care that you paid for... Pwdeng ob pf during checkups, labs, etc.

^hi sis! hindi yon idededuct sa bill mo. irereimburse yun sayo ng philhealth, bigyan ka nila ng check for that, pero maximum of 1.5K lang yun.

may tanong po ako ,. last feb/28 po nanganak ako then sa public hospital po ako nanganak, they provided a room para daw po sa may mga philhealth dun tapos po may libreng food din po. ang nagastos lang namen is yung mga gamot which costs us almost 1500 , then yung mga receipt po kinuha nila (staff ng hospital) i-aattach daw po sa philhealth forsm ko at MDR ,. ma-rereimburse po ba yung nagastos ko or hindi? ,. yung sa eldest ko kasi wala na-reimburse , kasi wala naman ako binayaran sa lying in kundi yung fee lang ng doctor ko (private OB) ,. this time po kaya? sana po may makasagot ,. at kung merun man po marereimburse if ever when will i receive it?

caramel, nasa yo ba yung receipts?

Inipon ko lahat ng resibo for hospital bills, doctors and medicines pati hospital discharge report. Lahat ng documents na un binigay sa philhealth for the materntiy claim. Nakuha ko yung 'reimbursement' or claim mga 3 months after yata un.

Other items na pwede ireimburse but you have to process personally ay newborn care worth 1,500 and penatal care worth 1,500 din yata not sure. So for these 2, you need to file and present receipts for meds, doctor, etc.

Sana nakatulong to sa tanong mo :D

Title: Maximum Use of PhilHealth?
Post by: Elnayc on April 27, 2011, 06:21:58 pm
Good day SP Mommies!

I'm a bit worried regarding sa coverage ng PhilHealth ng hubby ko. I was declared as a dependent sa PhilHealth. Then last month, I underwent a minor surgery called cerclage. We used his PhilHealth to avail of the discount sa mga hospital bills.

And last night, we were discussing na baka pag nanganak ako sa August hindi na pwedeng gamitin yung PhilHealth kasi nagamit na namin sa pregnancy kong ito.

Pwede pa kayang gamitin yung PhilHealth pag nanganak ako? I can't go sa PhilHealth office ngayon since I am on bedrest.

Sana mommies matulungan niyo po ako sa tanong ko kasi it has been bothering me for the whole day...

Thank you in advance for any advice you could give me! ;)

i think covered ka pa rin for maternity benefit. yung minor surgery would fall under a different benefit - surgery. But to be sure call ka nalang.

But before you can avail these benefits, make sure lang na may 12months contribution (updated) ka sa philhealth at sa SSS naman may contribution ka prior sa semester (6 mos) of your scheduled delivery.  Hope this helps.... ;)

Hi sis!...sa philhealth kasi kelangan updated yun contribution mo and they don't allow late payments to cover for the missing contributions and its been a year na wala ka contribution.  What I suggest is avail of your hubby's philhealth benefit instead. How?....just fill up an amendment  form (PRIF yata yun) signifying na dependent ka ni hubby and attached a copy of your marriage certificate and submit it to his employer or directly to any Philhealth office nearest you para mas maprocess agad.  Dapat maupdate agad yun record niya bago ka manganak, sayang din yun benefit...covered kasi both you and the baby (newborn screening).  Hope this helps, sis!..... ;)

Like me, nag start ako magwork before ng 2003-2006. then 2008-Feb2011, then unemployed ako from feb2011-March2011. Start lang uli ng work last May 6, 2011. So pano yung benefit ko sa philhealth non? @graceabril

Katatawag ko lang sa philhealth main office nila to inquire on the policy...sabi nun nakausap ko (Shirley) dapat may 9mos contribution ka within the 12mos prior sa delivery so i think pasok ka pa rin mommy.  Better to go straight to philhealth ofc to inquire and apply na lang for reimbursement as soon as possible kasi may 30 days yata sila submission period...sayang din baka maforfeit yun benefit mo.   :D

@purple10

In most cases, automatic dinededuct na ng hospital sa billing natin yun amount na covered ng Philhealth.  Kaya lang dapat dala mo lahat ng documents needed like MDR (member's data record), cert of contribution  (from employer) at Philhealth Claim Form 1 (duly signed by your employer).

From what I've heard--

NSD
Level 1 Hospital - 8k

Level 2, 3 Hospital - 6.5k

CS
19 k - all hospital levels

Is this true?

If I remember it right, parang this Sept 1 pa lang ang effectivity nito. Yung isang ospital nga na  na check ko yung OB package a month ago, ngayon wala na sa website nila, malamang iuupdate din because of this. Sana lang this will have positive effect.

Based sa mga feedbacks before, mostly P2500 lang nabawas sa mga NSD so ibig sabihin mas okay tong bago. Same with CS, pinakamataas yatang deduction na nabasa ko is around P14k lang.

Hi mommy MotherG, sad to say hindi na po pwede avail sa philhealth un maternity delivery mo nung 2009... philhealth has 60days timeframe to file your claim from the date of discharged from the hospital... since you stopped working since 2009, you can still pay voluntary contributions which is php100 only.... but you cannot avail it unless you accumulated 9months contributions prior to confinement month. Ex: September 2011 confinement month, you have to count 9months prior to that month over 12 months, so it's gonna be from August 2011 to August 2010 like what i said backwards... hope this help :)

mommy motherG, mahihirapan ka na ma -justify yun  and ma-grant yun late filing kasi it's almost 2 yrs already, saka ang mag aaproved pa nun si Rey B. Aquino yun president ng philhealth besides it will take like more than 3 months before you will receive a response from philhealth and hindi pa kasama kung accept ng  hospital kung san ka nanganak yun file mo... very particular kasi ang philhealth sa 60 day timeframe.... btw... i handle philhealth pla :) this is based from experience on this case we tell the patients outright so that they will not expect...

question lang po:

I'll be giving birth to my 2nd child and iba yung father.

For cases like CS ka na dati at siyempre dapat repeat CS ka due to low chance of VBAC, covered siya ng Philhealth, may officemate had her repeat CS last September at covered po and Scheduled CS niya...

kung repeat CS kana, you don't have to worry, covered pa rin po ng Philhealth ang SCHEDULED CS...
proven yan ng friend ko na nagrepeat CS last month..tsaka just a thought... kung CS kana dati and pilitin ka mag VBAC just for the sake of Philhealth coverage? That is so absurd!

@ sis liz: it is MY choice na mag trial of labor after caesarian  (TOLAC).. :D  nung mga first few months ko kasi, i was decided na to have an elective CS dahil gusto kong mag 11-11, excited much e!  then eto na lang i realized, bakit hindi ko muna itry mag-labor? yun namang reason dati kaya i had a stat CS hopefully wouldn't happen again (cervical arrest in dilatation),.. thanks for the philhealth clarification, though   :)

ok sis Wingding.. Ako din I told my OB that I want to try VBAC sana kaso she honestly told me na mababa ang chance and it's a waste of time and money kung mauuwi din sa Emergency CS like most of her patients..

That is so absurd! .... It's not for you alone Mommy Wingding... It's my Own thought about the Philhealth issue... Sorry if I sounded bad...  ;)

Thanks mommies, buti nabasa ko to. Onti na lang kasi diiference ng NSD & CS quote sa ibang hospital kaya nakaka tempt CS na lang lalo na yung takot and first time.

Pano nga kaya kung elective due to health reason naman?

^There's an exception to every rule.

From what I know, elective CS should be recommended by your OB for it to be covered by Philhealth. OB is still the best person to know if you need to undergo CS or not due to health reasons. kasi if hindi nila recommended yun, kulang din PF nila kasi wala silang macclaim from philhealth.

@liz05: with my 2 kids, hindi bawas ng philhealth ang bill ng baby. you have to file your claims for newborn with philhealth within 60 days from discharge date.

Hi Mommies! Please help.

I resigned from my job when I got pregnant and we thought of using my hubby's Philhealth (PH) nalang. He went to PH kanina and he was advised na since meron ako Philhealth number and active member ako, hindi ako pwede maging dependent niya. They gave us 2 options:

1. Magde-activate ako para maging dependent niya
2. Pay 6 mos voluntary contribution which is P600.00 (P100/mo)

I chose the 2nd option.

Question is, now lang namin narealize that my hubby is paying P750.00/mo sa Philhealth. Mas malaki ba ang bawas sa bill given na he's paying a lot more kahit dependent lang ako or mas malaki bawas pag sariling PH gamit ko?

Hope you could answer. Thanks!

tumawag kasi ako kanina sa WELL FAMILY MIDWIFE CLINIC (WFMC) ang package daw nila is 11k for normal delivery then midwife yung magpapaanak.. tapos sabi ko may PHILHEALTH ako.. sabi niya 4K na lang daw yung ilalabas kong pera lahat lahat na daw yun then free na yung new born screening if may philhealth...

It depends on the company. Importante eh nasubmit mo yung SSS MAT1 within 3 mos of your pregnancy..

Nung nagcheck ako sa site ang nakasaad dun para makagamit is you have to have at least 3months contribution within sixmonths prior sa confinement. Nakasked na ako on may 10, cs kasi ako.

8,000 naman ang deductions pag sa lying in clinics and public or government hospitals..

hope this helps!!

Then we got married on May and ngayon lang namin nakuha yung marriage cert.

or after ko na manganak tsaka ko i-process yung papers for change of status sa BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, etc?

thanks po.

Hello mga mommies!
Andito na naman ako. Hehe! I just want to share my sentiments with you guys.
This morning kase i went to my previous company to get my RF-1 and ME-5 Form for Philhealth because i need those documents to update my Philhealth contributions for January-June 2012 since i'm already 8mos pregnant na and para maka.avail ako dun sa Maternity Package nila (as far as i know is atleast may 9mos straight contribution before the delivery, correct me if i'm wrong). I waited there for 2hrs just to get those forms and then went straight to our Philhealth office here to present them. I wait for 30mins na naman, after that sabi sakin nung Philhealth employee na mali daw yung binigay sakin nang previous employer ko, CF-1 pala and certificate of contribution yun. Tas pagkacheck nang system nila wala ding naka.post na contribution ko for the last 7 months of being employed ko.

Thank you mga Mommies! Have a great day! - ZHEii <3

What do they mean about Level 1 & 2; and Level 3 & 4 Hopsitals? Nakita ko sa website ng Philhealth. Sa Capitol Medical Center po ako manganganak. Magkaiba kasi ng deduction for different levels.

@  Errych
- Level 1  –  very small hospital
- Level 2  –  a small hospital
- Level 3  –  a big hospital
- Level 4  –  a very large hospital.

Yung level yata also depends sa bed capacity nang ospital.

Hi sis. I give  birth june 2, 2012.

please enlighten me naman dito oh.. tks po and god bless!!!

SSS and Philhealth. Sa Sta Ana Hospital ako magggive birth. And requirement nila 24 mos continous contributions, e 6 mos palang ako dito sa new work ko so alam ko na na hindi ko maavail tong Philhealth however ok lang dahil libre naman panganganak sa Sta Ana and magwward nalang siguro ko... ;)

nanganak ako sis last january 27, 2012

and almost 9 months palang ako s work ko ...

Hi fellow moms!

I have friends who work for Philhealth Regional Office and from time to time, I ask them about Philhealth pregnancy issues.

If you're a stay-at-home mom, while your hubby is employed, no need for you to pay Philhealth contribution.  I used to be a banker and had my own Philhealth, but when I resigned, my friend advised me to stop paying my contribution kasi in a way, sayang din lang.  As long as you're listed as your hubby's dependent, you can have the same benefits.

Philhealth benefits upon giving birth depends on the type of your delivery. If you had a normal delivery, you only get a a small amount as benefit, because giving birth is not actually an illness.  Aside from you, your newborn child is also entitled to Philhealth benefits as long as you make sure to ask and fill up necessary forms sa hospital. Also make sure to ask for receipt from the OB na ngpaanak sa 'yo, kasi based on my experience, may additional benefit if you attached a receipt to your Philhealth claim.  In cesarian delivery, you get a higher benefit kasi nga cesarian is considered as an operation.

Before giving birth, don't hesitiate to visit Philhealth to inquire about your records and your benefits.  Mas mabuti pa rin if you're informed of your rights and benefits para alam mo kung paano at ano ang makukuha mo :)

I actually asked my OB kung nsd or cs ako kaya lang sa ultrasound naman variable ang lumitaw.
Hehe

mga sis, question =)

lahat ba nakakareceive ng BPN kapag ginamit nyo ang philhealth nyo? kasi i gave birth on my 2nd child last 2010, philhealth accredited yung lying-in clinic. tapos donation lang ang hinihingi nila. (murphy lying in sa cubao, qc). never ako nakareceive ng BPN from philhealth. tapos nanganak kapitbahay namin last july 2012, ginamit din niya philhealth niya t pinasa mga receipts ng pre-natal, same lying in kame. after 5 months nakareceive sya BPN at reimbursement check na 1500...

then last jan. 12, 2013, i gave birth ulit same lying in pa rin, pinasa ko mga pre-natal receipts ko pero binalik at hindi na daw need yun.  marereceive ko kaya ang BPN? parang walang sense na ginamit ko philhealth ko....

I've been an active member since 2000 untl I resigned on 2009.  Di ako nakapagcontribute from 2009 till 2012 kasi wala ako source of income or it's better to say na limited lang.  Now, I think I'm one month pregnant and nagstart akong maging active sa Philhealth and SSS paid first quarter of the year.  Can I avail of the benefits of SSS and Philhealth?  THank you in advance and God bless :)

Hi MotherG.

Yes, you can avail the benefits from both SSS and Philhealth. You meet the qualifying conditions. If you already have the ultrasound result of your pregnancy, file a maternity notification to SSS and attach a copy of the ultrasound result. Do this as early as possible.

Remember to continue paying for your SSS and Philhealth premiums. You can check SSS and Philhealth websites on benefits availment and filing process.

Have a safe pregnancy!

Sabi nung nagpaanak sakin Philhealth does random interviews sa patients kaya dapat parehas yung sinabi mo sa kanila and yung nakasulat sa OR records mo.

post from philhealth

Q: If I’m one month pregnant now, can I apply for Philhealth membership so I can avail of the maternity benefits when I give birth?
No and yes. For Voluntary Members or Individually Paying Members, nine months of prior contributions is required for receiving the maternity benefit package. Count 9 months within the 12-month period prior to child delivery. Let’s say your expected delivery month is September 2011. For the period from September 2010 to August 2011, you should have paid 9 monthly contributions. If Philhealth allows you to pay for December 2010 so you can reach the 9-month total, then you can avail. This depends on your prior Philhealth membership, meaning if you have been a Philhealth member before.
If you’re an OFW or an OFW dependent, yes, you can avail of the benefit as long as your delivery date is within the time frame indicated in the receipt paid by the OFW member. The same condition for Sponsored Members.
For Employed Members, 3 months of payments within the 6-month period prior to delivery are required.

so..if you're just applying for philhealth now i doubt you can avail of your maternity benefit kasi ang alam ko if you miss the deadline for quarterly contribution di mo na siya pwede hulugan..eh 32 weeks ka na by now so ayun

Under kasi ako ng agency before.

@MomVEH: if CS yung gamit po, fix na P19thou yung magagamit nyo from PhilHealth. Yung sinasabi siguro ng friend nyo is yung case na if ang package is worth say, 15,000 for a pneumonia then ang nagastos nyo lang sa hospital is only P11,000 so dalawa yung magiging effect nyan:
  1. wala ka nang babayaran ni piso sa hospital since yung package is P15,000.00

  2. PhilHealth will pay the exact package amount of p15,000 sa hospital so may kita nga ang hospital ng P4,000.

So what you will do is:
1, if may mga resibo ka sa mga medicines na nabili mo sa labas ng hospital (which i usually practiced kasi jack up masyado presyo ng meds sa hospital pharmacy), keep mo lang yun.

 2. Punta ka PhilHealth office to monitor if nabayaran na ba ng PhilHealth ang hospital. Kunin mo yung check #, and date of issuance.

@lizzie555: Yes, nagissue before ng circular ang PhilHealth about availment ng maternity kahit 3 months within 6months lang ..but I'd suggest, better tawag ka sa office to verify kasi what I heard a month ago, parang nasuspend pa yung implementation ng nasabing circular (3months within 6months)

From experience nung nagkasakit mommy ko yung over-payment naming we only received it after 12 months. ;)

Hi po! I just want to ask, kasi wala pa po akong Phil Health, manganganak na ako sa January next year.

Usually, these clinics offered packages for philhealth or non-philhealth patient.

I'm from Pampanga and just gave birth last 8/29 - and yes, na-avail ko yung PhilHealth package ng maternity clinic, although merun silang required #s of visit or consultation prior to your delivery.

Hope this helps.

Hi Mommy joanalpny,

You can ask your HR to sign na your CF 1 forms for Philhealth (2 copies, for both you and your baby) para hindi ka na mahassle when you're already in the hospital. ust ask your HR to not put the date yet since hindi naman super sure na october 20 ka manganganak (unlessa scheduled CS ka) :)

Make sure you have the following with you na when you go to the hospital, para less hassle on your part:
-CF 1 form 2 copies (1 cope each for you and the baby)
-copy of your MDR
-cert. of contributions from your company (at least for the past 6 months prior your due date)

Hope this helped :)

Question lang po. Sa lying in kasi ako manganganak.
