Title: how to update/change my profile and profile pic/avatar
Post by: Bru on June 28, 2011, 10:05:11 am: Goodmorning SP moms and SP tech!I was just wondering why i can't change my avatar, update/edit my profile and change my kiddie greets photo. I tried changing/updating it so many times but nothing happens. Do i need to change or register a new account here?

Mod's note:
To create an avatar, you must be in PC mode or Desktop Site mode (for mobile users)

1) Login to Smart Parenting and go to your Parent Chat profile by clicking this link:
https://www.smartparenting.com.ph/parentchat/index.php?action=profile

2) Go to Modify Profile > Forum Profile

3) Under Personalized Picture,
- tick Specify avatar by URL and enter the URL of your image.
or
-tick Upload an avatar and choose file to upload a small size photo

4) Click the Change Profile box at the bottom right corner of the forum page.

I lost count of how many times i tried changing my kiddie greet photo. Still, nothing happened. Please, i email the webmaster already and i don't get any reply. If there's something wrong with your system, can anyone atleast inform me? Or if maybe i'm doing something wrong or using the wrong computer?

Basta dun po kasi sa option na edit yong photos, pag na save na, may lalabas na, you can view your kiddie greet, and yet yong lumang photo parin yong lumalabas. Hindi niya talaga napapalitan. Nakaka 3 iba't ibang laptop nako :(
Nung 1 year old pa kasi baby ko sa photo nayon and gusto ko naman ma update na mukha niya dun :)

I tried it myself 2x, hindi nga instant yung pag update. I can't view my uploaded photo. Will report this again.

This appears when you try to upload a photo from your computer, a function which is now disabled. Tick "Specify avatar by URL". The photo you are trying to upload must be small (thumbsized). If you are uploading from an online album, make sure that the setting is in "public".

Sis try to use google chrome kung mozilla firefox gamit mo kase ganyan din ako last week sa mozilla ayaw pero when I use google chrome nag Ok sya.

please help :(

Post by: Mommy Jazz on August 20, 2011, 01:37:38 pm: Sa Modify Profile, tick "Specify avatar by URL" instead of upload an avatar. Then paste the URL of your small photo from an online album ending in .jpg format.

Nagawa ko naman makapag upload ng profile pic pero ilang beses ko rin pinaliit yung photo kase pagsine-save ko na, pagview ko, parang medyo deformed siya :(

@ sis princess080910:

kung yung preferred photo mo is from FB, i-reload mo muna (right-click then scroll down to reload) tapos right click ulit, select "Copy image location" tapos i-paste mo dun sa provided box when you tick "Specify avatar by URL" sa Modify profile.

Does the uploaded picture (not URL) really need to be in Jpg format? Cos mine is in PNG. Is there any workaround for this?

Nagagawa ko naman siya before but when i tried to change my profile picture last week nage-error na. The error message was that the directory is not rewritable..something like that.

nagback read na po ako, kc problem ko den ngaun yung profile avatar ko. ginawa ko na lahat ng mga advices pero d pa den gumana..

specify your url... at kung ano ano pa..
niliitan ko na pic na ilalagay ko.. wa epek pa den.. wahuuhuhu sana hindi ko na inalis/inupdate yung pic ko..

ano po ba gagawin ko.. kainis naman.. ilang weeks ko na binabalikan ang paglalagay ng pic, kc sabi ko baka inaayos lang ang site.. wala pa den.. wala pa den akong avatar pic.. huhuhu

Well, it says in the instructions that I'm gonna need to have an album to be able to upload pictures, eh kaso ilang bese nako gumawa ng album, kaso each time I try to upload pictures na, walang album ang lumalabas sa "Album Name*". :(

If you have Facebook account, right click mo lang po yung image na gusto mo maging profile pic then choose copy image URL if your using Google Chrome but if your using Mozilla Firefox choose copy image location. Go to Profile tick Specify avatar by URL, may mag-a-appear po dun na box paste mo dun yung na-copy. Make sure po na yung album na pinagkunan mo ng image is naka-Public or viewable by friends.

Hope nakatulong kahit papano.. :)

Yung source i think ang problema. Either the orig image is too big or thr URL doesn't end in .jpg. Baka nasa twitter din ang prob. Pag hindi naka public ang setting mg image source hindi nali-link.

1) The URL appearing on your address bar.

2) The image location (when you right-click on your target image, just scroll down then select "copy image location"/"copy image URL")

For logging in to Smart Parenting and posting at Parent Chat, you can use your smart phone pero for other functions like changing your profile, kelangan pc.
