Post by: Lynie on July 18, 2011, 08:29:51 am
Hi,
I heard madami daw nice educational apps for toddlers. Would you know any that are free?

I like to use them for my 17months old daughter.

Thanks!

Hi,

Wala pong best Iphone/Ipad apps for toddlers.

"Experiments on learning from video have repeatedly found that infants and toddlers learn better from real-life experiences than from video. "

My daughter sis loves doras skywriting abc, cut the rope, then books from storychimes like hansel and gretel, thumbelina, snow white, 3 little pigs. Though i agree that there is no best apps but to play with your kids. Sometimes iphone apps keep them entertained while in the grocery store and or waiting for their turn at the dentist or doctors clinic ‹

The new generation mom needs innovative products that empower her in caring for her child.

4. Empowered by technology
She uses technology as both a resource and a tool. Sheís constantly on the Internet to search for new vegetable recipes or arts and crafts ideas. She shares the same information with her fellow Moms on Facebook or Pinterest. Her iPad is loaded with videos and games to keep her kids entertained.

With the Kidsí Corner feature on the Windows 8, Daphne can feel confident letting her kids use her gadgets, since they can safely play their games or listen to music or use age-appropriate apps even while the device -- say, a smartphone -- is locked, thereby limiting access to other programs. Furthermore, the parent can dictate what apps appear in the Kidsí Corner through the Kidsí Corner app.

Title: Good Manners
Post by: sweety88 on January 30, 2013, 02:16:51 pm
Hi All,

Manners are to be taught. When children are very young, they want to do anything you ask. We have to grab the opportunity to teach appropriate behavior. When children are polite, kind and honest, they develop character -- and also make their parents look good!

Please check out the video to understand the capabilities, navigation etc.

http://youtu.be/WtSmjSX6If8

This is a first of a kind app where we have used Animation to teach Good Manners for Kids in an interesting and entertaining way. There are different topics on which we expect our character 'Johnny' to behave in a proper way. On each topic we have shown different behaviors and only one of them is a correct behavior. There is test for the kid on every topic to see if he understood the manners correctly on that topic. The kid has to choose the correct behavior. Its education! Its entertainment! Itís Fun!

The following topics are covered in this version of the app.
- Being A Good Guest
- Meet & Greet
- Table Manners
- Sharing & Caring
- Do Not Interrupt
- The Magic Words
- Cover Your Mouth

The app is available in iTunes App Store https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/good-manners-for-kids/id572456288?mt=8

The app is available in google play:

Title: Kids Fables
Post by: sweety88 on January 30, 2013, 02:18:18 pm
Hi All,

There appear to be plenty of books that provide educational instruction, but not many that provide lessons for life.

Teach your kids the morals in an innovative way. Inspired from many sources across the world like Greek's Aesop's fables, India's Panchatantra etc. this app teaches kids how to understand people, how to choose reliable and trustworthy friends, solve problems with wisdom and how to leave peacefully.

This is a first of a kind app where we tried to keep the orginal book reading experience along with animation that makes the moral stories interesting to read/watch. We are bringing the new way of teaching the kids moral stories in this flipbook with the animated stories.

In full version you will get following features:

-The innovative look and feel that will capture your and your childís attention with over 90 pages of access.
-The flipbook feature to retain the original book reading experience
- Double Tap or Drag to flip feature
-7 animated moral stories

These are the few stories:

Lion & Hare
Crocodile & Monkey
Hunter & Doves
Lion & Mouse
Crows & Serpent
Crab & Crane
Hare & Tortoise

Check this app in iTunes store by clicking the below link:

Post by: Jaymes Paton on February 07, 2013, 12:10:53 pm
Hello, folks! How about this app: Maddie and Matt's Safe World (http://goo.gl/qv8jf). It's a free app which teaches kids basic safety know-how when they're facing potentially dangerous situations. The app contains an interactive storybook (complete with dialogues and tips), mini-games for the kids' enjoyment, and loads of trivia. It's a free app which works wonders so download it now on the App Store. It's free! :)
