Hi sis, you prefer ba na package na? I can suggest a van driver then hanap ka nalang ng accomodations mo.

Was in Bohol last March with my friends then last July with my family (14 pax with a 6 mos baby). Both trips we stayed at Dao Diamond Hotel, but its in Tagbilaran. You prefer ba to stay in Panglao Island?

we went to bohol last month. we stayed in dumaluan beach resort. on our second day, we went on the countryside tour. we paid 2k for 12 sites/places. ang contact namin is jonald (naldix) cubero. here's his numbers if you need airport transfers and tours: 09228828697/09173241511/09999906211. reliable and mababait ang drivers niya. yung dumaluan reservation namin, we booked through agoda. 9k for 4 days and 3 nights with free breakfast buffet for 3 adults and 1 toddler tapos deluxe room (with tv, bathtub, aircon, fridge).

it was so much fun. ang daming puwedeng gawin sa bohol tapos relaxing ang place. we want to go back. last year, my parents and brother stayed in bohol divers resort. 800 for a standard room per night (no tv, fridge). you have to call the resort's number para mag-inquire about the room kasi hindi siya stated sa website.  ;) they availed of the countryside tour and sea tour through kuya tatsky (brother ni kuya naldix). regarding the river cruise, we went to the loboc river. sabi ng brother ko mas maganda daw yung sa loay river kasi sa loboc madami na madadanang houses sa gilid.

for our trip, we skipped the sea tour kasi may toddler kaming kasama and para maiba naman. we went on a day tour in panglao island nature resort and spa. 550 per person ang entrance. yung 450 pesos consumable. maiksi lang ang shoreline nila pero maganda. fine white sand tapos ang ganda ng infinity pool. may cave din sa premises nila which we visited. we just took a tricycle ride papunta dun from dumaluan. 500 pesos balikan na through kuya rene. his number is 09196175338. reasonable na kasi malayo pala tapos balikan na yung singil niya. we gave him a tip na lang. mabait naman si kuya. he can also tour you around panglao if you want.

if you like food tripping and night life, sa alona kayo maghanap ng resorts. sa bolod kasi (part ng dumaluan, whites and greens resort and bohol beach club) tahimik tapos konti lang makakainan. you'll depend on the resorts' restos lang talaga.

Hi All.  Will be vacationing this coming December with family in Bohol.  Can you recommend a nice place to stay with pool that is senior citizen friendly but with beachfront view as well? It can either be in Alona or Panglao.  Thanks.

just got back from our bohol trip...buti na lang di umulan the whole day, pero naiinitan ako (may heat intolerance ata talaga ako hehe) kaya we skipped some of the tourist spots included in the itinerary na, plus it's my 2nd time na din kaya di ako masyado excited hehe...we took the 7am sailing of supercat (2Go), inavail na din namin yung promo nila na RT ticket for 890/pax (?)..from the port, sinundo na kami ng van and diretso na countryside tour, we had our lunch at loboc river/floating resto (400/pax) and my parents really enjoyed it, nice experience daw for them...by 4 pm, tapos na kami, di kami masyado nagtagal kasi nga ang init, and may toddler pa akong kasama...we  (5 adults, 1 toddler) stayed at bohol bee farm, we got 3 garden bungalows, nice naman ang rooms, katuwa nga yung names ng rooms- eggplant, raddish and carrot..actually the rooms can accomodate up to 3-4 pax kasi malaki yung bed and may sofa bed pa, but since ang lakas maghilik ng father ko and yung assistant ko so we decided to get 3 rooms na lang ;D  nice naman ang place, very relaxing pero ang mahal ng food kasi organic ata lahat, good thing may free buffet breakfast na included...natuwa naman father ko because it was his 1st time to eat flowers haha, yes may mga flowers dun sa salad nila and nagustuhan niya...we were also able to try their famous malunggay ice cream, and masarap nga pati yung cone na ginamit (80 pesos per serving, with 2 big scoops)...the following morning, nag-tour lang kami around the area then hinatid na kami ng shuttle sa tagbilaran port and back to cebu na...

 Hello sisters,

Last October my family went to Bohol for our bonding time and our daughter's 13th birthday. Bohol is a truely magnificent place. Friendly ang mga tao. My cousin told me instead of a party plan a trip for your family. And he was right. More quality time and the first time we saw our kids not hehe... Try Bohol if you like to travel and bond as a family. We got our package from travelwhiz.
Good Luck and have fun.

We did Bohol recently for the holidays for our tours we got naldix help as he is highly recommended in local blogs and forums and he did not dissapoint. We stayed at Dumaluan2 which is quite far from the party and happenings but it has a good shoreline.  Even the locals recommend this place as they think most hotels are overrated.   We travelled with a 3yold tod and she enjoyed all the tours.

anybody who tried to stay at Tip Top Hotel & Resort / Isola Bella Beach Resort?

and how is it like to have a DIY Countryside Tour if we have our own car? a friend of mine is offering his car during our stay in Bohol by August. Will my husband (who is a first timer on the area) manage to follow the direction going to our selected destination such as Chocolate Hills, Tarsier Sanctuary, Loboc River and Man-made Forest?

Sis,

Share ko lang. You may also contact Mr. Paul Incon. We availed of their services and kuya Paul was the one who handled us and we were really very satisfied of his services and he really puts his own personal touch to his job and in behalf of our family we highly recommend his services when you'll be visiting Bohol. Not only that he drove us safely to all the spectacular spots in Bohol but he told us a lot of stories and given us new knowledge with his trivia about Bohol. It was really a very nice experience, not just that we got to see those beautiful spots but we learned the stories behind it plus our guide took us a lot of cool and artistic pictures. (knows how to operate DSLR).

Sis you may search "Paul Incon" in google for you to read more reviews about his services.

A friend of mine from australia  who also went to Bohol several times already took his latest adventure in Bohol with Paul and was really amazed about what he learned. Paul Incon took him to those remote areas where tourists havent discovered yet. My australian friend really would love to visit the rice terraces in banaue but its just really far so he asked Paul if bohol could offer him some rice terraces and indeed hindi sya umuwing luhaahn. hehe

Siera bollunes rice terraces
Anda white beach
Anda mystical island tour
Morning hills
ziplining and bungee jumping in EAT Danao
caving in Danao

@sis luk_resha.....si naldix na nagayos lahat. We paid after the end of the tour. The lunch at the loboc river is already included as part of the tour. Di kami nkapag dolphin watch we gad to cancel that day due to the bad weather. Again it wasnt a prepaid tour so no harm done.

Day 2 - Countryside Tour - 2,600

hello mga sis, need your advise..we bought ticket manila to tagbilaran, cebu to manila..one night sa bohol one night sa cebi...sa kakabasa ko at kaka search ko..for me ito n yung pinaka mura deal sa bohol:
2D/1N accommodations (in Bohol)
Daily Breakfast
One Buffet Lunch during Loboc River Cruise
Round Trip Land Transfer ( airport to hotel, hotel to port)
One Way Sea Transfer via Ocean Jet (Tagbilaran to Cebu)
Whole Day Chocolate Hills Countryside Tour
PhP 4,200/pax
Good deal na b to sis, dalawa lang kame ni hubby pupunta

^
Sis,  the price is kinda tempting but the resort accommodation is not specified where exactly in Bohol. For 2D/1N in Bohol, mas maganda na rin siguro if you'll have the chance to enjoy the white sand beaches of Panglao. And sa napansin ko sa transfer sis, it says ( airport to hotel, hotel to port) so malamang sa city lang ang accommodation kasi if sa Panglao ang accommodation (RESORT) siguro ang gamit nila na term.  Tanung mo sis if saan exactly ang accommodation. If sa City, mahal sya na package, but if sa Panglao ang assigned accommodation for that said Package, GO NA!!!

Sis, you might also be interested in checking this Hassle-free  Package Tour of Paul Incon, magaling sya na guide sis and super maalaga. Super natuwa kami sa kanya and highly recommended.

http://inconboholtours.webs.com/rates-packages

Specified talaga dyan sis kung saan ang accommodation and in complete details ang inclusions. Madaling kausap si Paul, and you can ask for a discount.
Title: Re: Bohol Trip: tips and suggestions
Post by: Cathyparedes on February 27, 2013, 03:26:23 pm
2 DAYS and 1 NIGHT HASSLE-free PACKAGE

     2 PAX

 Whites & Greens
                  3,950.00/person

Alona Hidden Dream Resort
                  4,300.00/person

 Dumaluan Beach Resort
                    4,200.00/person

* Countryside Tour with entrances and 1 time eat all you can lunch    buffet cruising on board floating restaurant @ Loboc River
* 2 days and 1 night resort accommodation with breakfast
* Transfers in and out
* Tour driver that could serve as your guide and photographer

Yan sis sa wakas i managed to copy their rates..hehe..sayang din kasi if doon kayo sa mahal at d nyo pa ma tudo ang Bohol. As i can recall sis ang promo ng fastcraft sa Bohol to Cebu ay nasa 600 lang aircon na yun and balikan pa. then ang transfer from airport to Panglao if im not mistaken nasa 500 or 600 then if sa City na hotel libre lang yun sa hotel so if you'll compute lugi ka sa 4200/pax...enjoy nyo Bohol
Title: Share your Bohol experience (GOOD or BAD) for our sis's to be aware...
Post by: Cathyparedes on February 27, 2013, 04:44:27 pm
Our Bohol experience was very memorable and the trip was worth of all the planning, preparations and of course the hardship in saving the budget for the said trip  ;D. What i love most about the Island of Bohol is that they have all what we mostly looking for. From powdery white sand beaches to nature and extreme adventure tours as well as spectacular  sceneries such as the chocolate hills, the man-made forest, the cute and amazing tarsiers, to a relaxing river cruise at the loboc River with lunch buffet and also a very exciting dolphin and whale watching and snorkeling at the fish sanctuary in Blaicasag Island during the sea tour. So what more u can ask for?  And I almost Forgot, century old churches and spanish built houses that up until now standing proud and giving our kids interests to our history.

@luk_resha, Naldix 09173241511.  But there are other popular tour guides mentioned here that you may want to contact as well. Baka better if a bigger group would get his services.  You may want to insist na sya magdrive sa inyo.

^Mommy France, yes ang ganda sa Bellevue.  Great facilities, accommodation and service.  But isa pa lang restaurant nila ha. We enjoyed the pool.  As in we spent most of our day there. hehe.  May bantay/lifeguard (I assume) so relatively safe magswimming. 2 ft/4ft ang pool. Connected yung dalwa but meron harang na tali.  Ang beach area hindi namin gano nagustuhan.  Lowtide and daming sea plants.

Sayang. Next time na uli ako magkwento.

Sa Saturday na alis namin for the Bohol Trip.  Everybody is excited specially the 3 kids.

@wahmproject.... thanks for the nice feedback about The Bellevue, we booked for 4 days and 3 night with them. Sana mag-enjoy ng husto mga anak ko.

I got the services of Mang Aster (09185195414) for car rental, he will be our driver and tour guide na rin. P2,500 (each) ang rate na binigay niya for Panglao Island tour and city tour, and accdg to him we will use innova.  I'll give an update about his services pagbalik namin.

^luk_resha, below are the costs.

countryside tour for 3 people - 2,000
seatour - 1,600 + 1,000 for resort transfer to/from dock + 200 per pax for banca to marine sanctuary and snorkeling gears. the boats are either docked at alona beach or danao so we had to pay for resort transfer of P500 one way.  We chose to get the resort vehicle rather than get a tricycle na cheaper sana.

Now ko lang narealize na yung package ni sis ilove323 of 1,800 for seatour included snorkeling gears already. So when you check for prices, ask mo na rin yung about banca, snorkeling gears, etc.

hope nagenjoy kids ni @gablijo sa bellevue. :)

^thanks sis...

in touch na ako kay kuya naldix he quoted me P13,600 (3,400/pax) for 3d 2n accommodation (either w&g or cherrys home) with sea and land tour kasama entrances.

pag tours lang he gave me 2,000 for the countryside and 1,600 for the sea tour (w/ gear) kaya lang may car transfer pa 500 per way so additional 1k pa, kaya lang nalito lang ako sakanya kasi just to make sure i ask him if good for 4 na ba yung mga rate na yan if tours lang e una niya sagot oo then sumagot uli na mali daw per person rate daw  :o

^kakareply lang niya sis bale all-in is 3,400 per pax (13,600) 3d 2n sa cherrys @ home too inland resort ang accommodation with gears na rin for sea tour, w/ breakfast, pag tour lang nasa 8,160... can't decide pa if i will grab it na  ;D

tatarabe@yahoo.com
nag inquire din ako kay ms lilibeth, 14,500 sa horizon beach resort ang accommodation no gears and no breakfast pa yan meron sya 12,500 sa tiptop hotel kaso wala pa ko nahahanap na feedback about this hotel yung mga picture sa website nila parang feeling ko malayo sa beach

^ah dun sa countryside tour namin na P2000, hindi pa kasama yung mga payment for entrances and lunch sa river cruise.  more than P600 ata yun per person so baka lumabas nga na P8,160 kung 4 adults kayo. Buti niklaro niya na hindi P2,000 and P1,600 per person kasi sobrang mahal yun, approx P16k for tour only.

^tama sis 690 each daw lahat ng entrances, i tried to ask for a discount hoping lang ba  ;D nag less 200 sya sa 13,600 natuwa lang ako na kahit papano e hindi nag damot maski magkano lang yun atleast meron  ;D baka nga kay kuya naldix na ako @ 13,400 for 4pax medyo ok na rin naman ako sa coverage ng package niya...

We went to Bohol a couple of years ago and I must say that Bohol is one of the best places in the Philippines. Very magical, magnificent and superb vacation. We stayed at Bohol Beach Club, the facilities, services and food are great :). I want to go back there.

@lovebeingmom - Agree ako syo sis!!! Bohol is really one of the best places in the Philippines and kids friendly too!!!

@luk_resha - sorry ha late na ba reply ko,  sobra busy last week tax deadline kasi.  By the way,  Mang Aster (09185195414), our driver and tour guide is great!!! thumbs up kami buong pamilya.  P2,500 (for each tour) ang rent namin sa innova niya, bali 5 kami, 2 adults and 3 kids (ages 8 to 11), so we paid him P5000 for both Panglao and City tours.
Maingat sya magdrive, hindi nagmamadali.  Accredited din sya ng DOT, kaya he's using a rainbow plate, kung green daw yung plate ng sasakyan, kulorum daw un and if in case mainvolve sa accident walang insurance plus hinuhuli ng authorities. He also knows a lot about bohol, since he is a native boholanos. Marami din syang suggested hotels na pueding pag-stay-an, depende kung anung priorities mo:  budget, facilities, beach front, or accessibility.

Given the chance and the budget, we wanted to go back to bohol....

Good Bless and Happy Trip!

hi sisses!

had our bohol adventure last week and it was fun! we had
 (1) panglao tour (national museum, bayoyoy the dwarf, panglao church, hinagdanan cave, lunch at bohol bee farm etc) ,
(2) country side tour (tarsier, chocolate hills, phyton, blood compact, hanging bridge, lunch at loboc river, etc)
(3) sea tour (dolphin & whale watching, snorkeling)
for me, the best was the sea tour but we were not able to enjoy it to the fullest coz twas raining so hard. sayang tuloy. di kami nakapag island hopping. pero lahat ng tour was fun.
we hired kuya naldix as suggested by many moms here and he is recommendable nga saka palaging nakasmile parang ilonggo :D sa cherrys home kami nakabillet coz the one i booked was quite far pala sa beach. cherrys is ok especially kung di kayo magsstay the whole day sa room naman. with free breakfast. it was kuya naldix who suggested the cherrys home too. thanks to him :) marunong din sya magpicture ng magandang anggulo :D madami ding malalapit sa beach na rooms for rent dun but nakalimutan kong kunin mga rates... the alona beach was not good for swimming. daming sea urchins e. daming foreigners din. its as if you are the foreigner na :) madaming resto dun. but i like the ALONA HIDDEN DREAM resto. dun lang ako nabubusog e :) but be ready lang mga sis for drinking water. lahat ng establishments dun, walang free/service water. you have to buy mineral water for 30 pesos (500ml ata. not sure) kaya what we did is buy a gallon of water na lang and put it in the ref. kasi usually, we order for a juice or softdrinks + water lagi... (nagtipid ng konti hehe)
btw, mga sisses... the sea tour - may additional bayad na 50/pax for environmental chuva then 100/pax for a guide. you bring bread para ipakain sa isda. you also wear shoes (yung png underwater) or kung wala, 100/pair ang rent. may pwede ding irent na waterproof case for ordinary digicam for 300 or rent a digicam with waterproof case na tapos sayo yung memory card. they said its 700 pero natawaran ko ng 600. hay presyong foreigner... pero kinagat na namin coz sayang naman, andun na kami ni hubby :) kaya if u have underwater cam, the better. mas maganda nga sana kung may video pa. the coffe na 3-in-1 der is 30/cup.
twas great, really! hubby said "it was his best birthday ever" ;)

^hi sis mag follow up ako sa cherry's ha  ;D kay kuya naldix din kasi kami and dyan din kami mag stay, may pool naman right? ok ba mag swim kiddo dun? to be specific ano po yung breakfast?  ;D tia!
Title: Re: Bohol Trip: tips and suggestions
Post by: mami che on July 31, 2013, 03:22:18 pm
yung room namin sa cherrys sis, P1,450/night lang but if you want with window, P1,650 daw :D 200 pesos ang bayad mo sa liwanag :) hehe

free breakfast nila is what they call continental breakfast... includes wheat bread, 2 eggs with butter & marmalade. ur choice of coffee, tea or juice. kami kasi nag pa ugrade ng breakfast into filipino and the british chiva. nadd lang kami ng 80 pesos for the filipino and 120 (ata) for the british style breakfast :)

how many nights kayo sis?

As part of my kids school program they encourage to explore the Philippines. And last summer we went to Bohol. We stayed at Dumauan beach resort. It was one perfect getaway for the 4 of us. Its a 4nights 5 days of fun, sun, water and nature (",)
On our first day we availed the Panglao Tour (Bohol bee farm, miracle well, hinagdanan cave, bohol museum, bayoyoy ) sarap ng salad sa bee farm and also their pizza (",) The following day is our countryside tour. Very informative and full of stories ang tour namin. My kids get to see the tarsier or mamag up close and personal. Sobra nakakatuwa ang sulit ang gastos kase nakita ko how happy they were seeing their lessons in school with their own eyes. Specially the mamag ( my youngest kase nagportray sya ng role ng mamag) sobra sulit talaga! We also availed the dolphin watching and island hopping tour and it was superb! Naiisip ko na nga lang that time wag na ako magworry sa gastos kase kikitain pa ulit namin mag asawa yung pera (",)
The beach area of Dumaluan beach resort is so serene and peaceful. Meron resto or grill bar dun na masarap and affordable ang food.  Breakfast buffet at DBR is ok naman din. Kaya lang since summer time kami nagpunta kapag mga 8am ka ma pumunta sa hall may tendency na maghihintay ka na sa refill ng mga food trays. Pero above all its a good choice.
My kids kept asking us if babalik daw ba kami sa Bohol and they want to go back with their lolo and lola daw. And ang motivation namin sa kanila is they study hard and when nagwork  na sila mag ipon para maipasyal naman ulit nila kami sa Bohol (",)  sabi nga nila ang tagal pa daw nun pero since talagang naenjoy nila ang stay namin dun i'm sure they will really do their best na ibalik at ipasyal ulit nila kami dun ng daddy nila (",) hopefully with their lolo and lola pa rin.

We were in Bohol in 2011, must do ang Island Hoping at ang Loboc River Cruise!  Getting land tour arrangements in Bohol is very easy and quite affordable.  We booked ours through the hotel we stayed in. It was a little more expensive, but was more convenient in the end since we were with small children.

Reposting our Bohol Itinerary.
