Title: Re: kids passports and travel requirements
Post by: ainge88 on August 04, 2011, 06:21:13 pm
Yay! Super good job ang DFA! Kakatapos lang namin magparenew ng passports namin and it only took us an hour :)

8:30am yung appointment but we were there mga before 7:00 and pinapasok naman agad kami.

By 8:00 tapos na kami hehe

Dun kami sa family appointments yung mga may kasama and it turns out na kaunti pa yung tao dun and siguro maaga pa talaga so mabilis lang :)

Also make sure complete requirements even the xerox copies of the pahes of your passports.
 Goodluck!

Hi sis ainge88, yung requirements ba na dinala mo for your baby's application ay yung NSO Birth Certificate niya at Baptismal certificate niya? Plus your passport? Is that enough? Yung dalawa lang kasi na yun ang meron ako for my 2-year old son e, ok na ba yun? Malapit na kasi appointment namin.. TIA!

Yes sis, sa son ko, busy in SECPA paper and his Baptismal Certificate. :)

Sakin naman since magchange ako ng last name, gawin ng married name, nagdala ako MC in SECPA tapos since renewal din, old passport with photocopy of pages 1,2,3 and last page, photocopy ng IDs ko, copy ng busy ko in SECPA and photocopy. Yun lang :) ok na kami. Super dali lang. Natuwa talaga ako. Haha

Hi mom ilove323!

based from my experience... got my son's passport last july 2011 (he's 6mos that time :))

1. No dress code for toddlers :) just be sure he/she is in the mood for the picture taking. Don't forget to bring any of his favorite toys pang-aliw:)
2. Yes, you can be both there.
3. about 2 hours... in our case, We're there from 11am (which is our appointment time) to 1 pm only)

1. No dress code.

Title: Re: Re: kids passports and airtravel
Post by: riddermark on January 20, 2012, 03:30:52 pm

birth certificate and original/photocopy of parent's (especially mother's) passport lang yung dinala namin.

will be using baby's passport this june, going to china.  ;)

has anyone tried using the certified true copy of birth certificate issued by the local civil registrar? how was it? may naging problema po ba? my baby is only a month old and i'm planning to get his own passport anytime soon. matagal pa daw kasi yung authenticated birth certificate from NSO eh. thanks

i think pwede na ikaw ang mag-forward nung certified true copy from your local registrar to the NSO to expedite the procedure.  sa website ata ng NSO or ng eCensus meron nun.

I got kiehla her own passport when she was 13months old. It took us only like 1hr. We are scheduled at 12:30noon. Almost tpos na by 1:30.  At furst wala kami sa fast lane. But then I asked kung puwede kami, nung una parang ayaw pero pumayag din.

Ask lang mga mommies, how much terminal fee and travel tax ng mga babies?

^sis, as far as I remember walang bayad ang baby 24 months and below sa travel tax at terminal fee.

Kasi mamaya marami ring bata so may kaunting hintayan pa rin pero siyempre, sobrang laking naitutulong ng special lanes for kids and senior citizens.

Hi sis,

Yes you can bring her yaya as well and  there is no dress requirements for the infants, i think anything basta komportable si baby wag lang siguro yung sando or sleeveless. Although pag baby ang applicant my speacial line kayo s 2nd floor yun, medyo matagal din mag aantay.
Hope nakatulong ako sayo kahit paano.

I applied for my son's passport when he was 14 months old (1 year and 2 months). Since he's more than a year old already, I had to make an appointment. He was dressed in polo and pants. I brought the following requirements:
a) Certificate of Live Birth of my son from the NSO;
b) Photocopy of my passport (front and back pages), but I brought the original for comparison, just in case; and
c) Affidavit of Support/Consent to Travel executed by me since the father and I aren't married.
Important that the mom personally accompany the child for unmarried parents.
I applied at SM Megamall, on a Saturday. It was a breeze, took us around 30 minutes, I think.

For more details on what I went through and hope it'll help: http://restlessjasrey.blogspot.com/2013/07/philippine-passport-application-dirty.html (http://restlessjasrey.blogspot.com/2013/07/philippine-passport-application-dirty.html)

In another forum, 2 parents said it was not asked since the mothers were present in both cases.
