Title: Organizing tips
Post by: proudnewmommy on March 20, 2009, 01:01:46 am
Mommies help!!!!!

Im a working mom po kase and sometimes I spend too much sa mga personal hygiene or make up na hindi necessary ay di ko naman nahgagamit. May pagkatamad pa ako mag apply minsan hehe.

Daming lipstick, face foundation, brush, lotion, perfume. Babay poweder , make up, pony tail, etc etc. Parang ang dumi tuloy.

Ilang beses ko na I try I minimize tong mga to mommies, pero ganon pa rin.

Tips naman po! Thanks in advance! ;D

From an OC Mommy: ( hehe)

sa pouch bag ko, i have my essentials din. like small baby powder, face powder with compact mirror, small alcohol, lotion, body spray . lahat in small sizes. pati toothpaste at toothbrush.

so i suggest, yung mga essentials lang sis.

sis, why don't you use bag/tidy/pocket organizer then pit it inside your bag. i have one & i just put all my stuff there. very neat & organize. you can put your cp, wallet in 1 compartment or your make up, loton, wipes hand sanitizer etc. to another. di sya nakakalat sa loob ng bag. at anytime na gusto mong magpalit ng bag tatanggalin mo lang then lipat sa ibang bag.mabilis lang at wala ka pang makakaliutan kasi nakalagay na sang lahat don. di ka pa mahihirapang magkalkal.

sa cr naman, you can put all your essentials sa rack. pag ubos na ang bote or sachet ng shampoo automatic sa bin na sya. i have also laundry basket/bin inside our bathroom para pagkahubad diretso sa bin. mas ok kung dalawa. hiwalay yung colored sa white. kung malaki yung space ng banyo nyo. from time to time kasi tinatanggal o binabasura ko na mga hindi kailangan. all you need is 5 mins. or dapat may kanya kanya silang container o lalagyan. para madaling kunin. :)

BATHROOM
   - when i have found my best friends already..meaning hiyang ako sa brand ng ganito ganyan, ng shampoo, liquid soap, sponge, scrubs, etc., i stick to them. yun lang ang makikita mo sa bathroom. one of each kind nalang. when i experiment, and hindi ok, i dispose them agad kase ayoko may clutter sa bathroom. either ilagay ko sya sa isang paperbag na ipamimigay ko, or tapon talaga.

POUCH/KIKAY KIT
   - like with the bathroom essentials, ang dinadala ko lang eh yung best friends ko ;) i used to have almost 10 lipsticks everyday na dala dala. pero ngayon, i just bring 2. one na medyo light for the day then at night pag gusto ko medyo heavy ang color. i don't use foundation or face powder narin naman so bawas na sa kikay kit ko. 1 blush and 1 blusher will do. i have bigger kikay kit at home. hindi narin ako nagtatabi ng maraming makeups kase they expire. lalo na mascara. pinaka-fast eto kapitan ng bacteria...kase moist. ganun din ang lip gloss na using brushes.
   - perfumes naman, since super mahilig ako dito, instead of buying 100ml, i buy small nalang. kase madaling dalhin and madaling isingit kung san. 100ml minsan kase is too bulky. so imagine kung dala ko everyday yun, ay ayaw! hehe since fan din naman ako ng usual perfumes, i rarely experiment naman so kung talagang fave ko na ang scent. i buy two small bottles nalang.
   - i learned na piliin lang ang dadalhin nung nagkababy ako, kase yung gamit naman niya ang hindi ko mapili. as in dala ko lahat! hehe pero i have to give way.. kase nakikishare nalang din ako ng bag kay AK when we go out. very exhausting pag dalawa pa dala namin. i just bring my own bag pag ako lang. pero pag family pasyal, AK and i share the same bag. meron lang ako little space sa bag niya. so i have no choice but to lessen what i bring.

bathroom: I have my own rack and my hubby has his own rack din dun namin nilalagay respectively yung mga kung ano-anung gamit namin. as for things or items na di naman namin ginagamit we either give it away or place it in a shelf. I don't like keeping empty bottles or boxes so I threw them right away pag wala ng laman. We also have our own laundry basket. dati separate yung damit niya sa damit ko pero later on we separate na lang yung whites from colored clothes.

pouch/kikay kit: medyo oc din ako pag dating dito. I don't like a big bags pero surprisingly ang daming laman ng bag ko. (2-3 lipstick/gloss, compact, mini blusher/eye shadow set, mascara. eyebrow pencil and brush, tweezer, comb, hair clips, extra scrunchie, ilog maria propolis ointment, pen)

1. It's nice to put your things in compartmetns para if your looking for something mas madali and mas madali din in organize. Like sa dresser namin, i made a separate compartment for me and my hubby. so lahat ng gamit na kailangan niya dun lang nakalag and all my stuff are in my own compartment also.
2. We also have our separate shoe rack para mas madaling ayusin at linisin.
3. instead of a side table or a night stand my husband and i has own box.
4. for cabinets ganun din ako as much as possible yung pag kakasalansan niya dapat are according to design or color of the clothes. Pag sleeveless isang rack ang yun, pag whites dapat mag kakasama.

It may take awhile before you get used to it but once it became a habit things becomes easier especially when tidying up.

Don't buy too much stuff na meron ka pa. Sa bathroom, always have the necessary lang... Same with your kikay kit... like if u still have lipsticks naman--always bring yung ginagamit mo lang talaga.  :D u can do it...

Better Buy Small Bag Organizer coz you can out everything on it at hindi kalat sa bag at pwede mo pa categorized (hiwalay ang powder, make-up, etc.)

tips in organizing :

- sa mga damit i color coordinate them ,tsaka pinagsasama ko yung pang alis tsaka pang bahay, tapos yung mga dress sinasabit ko, undies magkakasama , belt naman nakaroll, makeups magkakasama,

-kitchen cupboard- nagle label ako ng mga can goods ng expiration date nila..first in first out , tapos clean as you go..parang fast food para laging malinis,

I try to be organized & I'm still learning.

For polos, formal shirts, jackets, etc. may isa pa kaming cabinet and naka-hanger dun.
ako naman, may cabinet ako ng dresses, for my shirts, pants, naka hanger din and nakalagay dun sa isa pang cabinet.
- bags magkakasama sa isa place.
- for bills naman, i separate them pero dito ko sa office tinatago.

In the bathroom, I organize my stuff by categorizing the items: hair products in one shelf, lotions and perfume in another, etc. In my drawers naman, I put plastic containers which work as "dividers" so my drawer isn't one big mess.

For your pouch / bag, you can use a bag organizers or little pouches to put your things in. For the latter, have one pouch for your make up: lip stick, face powder, eye liner etc. Then another small pouch to fit a hand sanitizer, pony tail and hairbrush.

proudnewmommy - though I wrote this link about teaching kids to be organized, moms can pick up organizing tips too, especially items 1, 3 & 6 http://goo.gl/v9i1c (http://goo.gl/v9i1c)

cindy1211 - If you want to put them in a cabinet, use the tray for neckties. It has a lot of small compartments so you can roll up your panties. For the bra naman, just pile them up and sort by color.

Hi sis..

Sa everyday bag ko, here is what I do.

1 pouch - for make ups
1 pouch - for toiletries (small pack of tissue, sanitizer, wet wipes, extra pad). The others like toothbrush, toothpaste and freshen up kit, I store it in my locker.
1 pouch - for documents like receipts, atm print outs
coin purse - i put in a small pocket na nasa labas ng bag para madaling hugutin pag kelangan

1. For the bulky stuff toys, i used a hamper as toy storage, yung may zipper para di maalikabukan, open ang windows sa amin, mainit kasi. I can't paste the picture of the colorful hamper I bought from a department store.

2. Para s cosmetics and jewelries, i used pocket hanging bag na pwedeng idiplay or ilagay s travel bag pag may urgent na lakad. May zipper pa rin para in case hindi ko masealed maigi ang cologne or lotion, hindi matapon sa bag. Check the pics here > http://www.amazon.com/Household-Essentials-06910-Cosmetics-Grooming/dp/B0000CNR1L/ref=sr_1_2?s=bedbath&ie=UTF8&qid=1328004867&sr=1-2

Just sharing mga mommies.

my way of organizing.

for my toddler :  compartment1: shorts, pants, panjamas
compartment2: sandoes, tshirts, face towel and panties
iba ang compartment for towels, bedsheets and pillow covers
same goes with my hubby's clothes and mine na din. diretso na sila kuha ng gamet sa compartment kasi alam na nila na saan ko nilalagay.

shoes naman : me shoerack kami tag.isa para lahat ng shoes, yong everyday na gagamitin at yong hindi naman for special occasions is nilalagay sa box on top sa wooden cabinets.

make up ko : i have one pouch complete set for me lakad,
and then i have this box for all my make up din pag nasa bahay.

little toys ni baby is nillalagay niya lahat after niya magplay sa medyo sira na laundry basket ko at binabalik sa cabinet, tapos yong stuff toys niya ina.arrange niya ulit sa nilalagyan ko sa bedboard.

special papers ko lahat is naka lagay sa per envelope, labeled at me arrange to the latest date. kasi malilimutin ako kaya pag me receipt nilalagay ko agad sa envelope. TOdo list ko updated kasi nga madali akong makalimot kaya i put almost everything to my little notebook para dun ko chinicheck.

sis any idea naman about organizing your room? Like toys ni baby... ang dami kasi since magkasunod lang ang age nila. Mga gamit nila like stroller, walker, crib, bike, pull car...etc. Currently we have 3 cabinets. 1 for me, the other one share yung dalawang kids ko. then yung third (hanging wall cabinet), andun yung ibang stuffs like alcohol, lotions, souvenirs from their binyag and bday. etc.

there are already bags & pouches out in the market that are good for organizing things, like this one. it's good for keeping all your chargers (mobile phone charger, digi cam charger, usb's, headsets,at iba pang may wires). i bought this at Greenhills tiangge for less than P200.

@BlueAby, dispose those that you don't need. And by dispose I mean either give it to someone or sell it.
Kapag konti lang ang space, the more we need to make do with less.
Yung crib ni miggy, I gave it to a cousin who needed it. Same for his high chair. His small clothes, I asked my yaya to sell it and binigyan ko siya ng commission kung mabebenta niya. Kesa nakatago lang.

Still, i keep things like his items na talagang pinag-ipunan and talagang memorable. Like his Gap shirt. Regalo ng friend ko when he went to UK.  Ipapa-frame ko yun. :D The same for his baptism barong.

What I need to organize (aside from my time) are my papers. Ang dami kong papers. I'm planning to get a document organizer. hinihintay ko lang magbukas ang Ikea sa Pilipinas. Ngayon kasi naka-brown envelope lang. I want it more strategically organized eh. Boys will be boys. :D

Learning how to let go is the key.
