sis madaming hotels and resorts to choose from in BORA I suggest you check on line and book in their manila office. It's already peak season so prices are also high now in bora. ANd it's quite hard to go there with out booking kc you might end up with no place to stay since peak season na nga.

You may visit www.jennifersgardenboracay.com - look for Yoly

also,  avail  of the sports and equipment rental naman ng Boracay Adventure Specialist, Inc.- look for Connie Fuentes cp no. 0922 8356513, tel her nirefer kayo ni Hazel (thats me) para mabigyan kayo ng discount.

these 2 establishments are owned by my boss. been there twice and i can say masarap (kase libre ako) ;)

I hope I am not late for this.

Well you can find murang hotels or nipa huts sa bora pero hindi beach front. Kapag off season yan sobrang baba at puwede pang tawaran.

So sa likod sa area ng station one for sa likod na area ng station 2. You don't have to worry naman kasi may mga trike naman maghahatid sa inyo 24/7, so no worries. Besides masaya din maglakad ng konti.

From there makakatipid kayo.

Also try nyo yung mga packages na inooffer ng mga airlines, meron yan with hotel accomodations na. Mas mura yun. So mega research talaga.

If you want to stay naman talaga sa beach front, mag roro kayo or boat going to boracay. pagdating nyo ng bora, mas enjoy ang vacation kasi you have enough money sa titirhan nyo.

I hope this could help. :)

kami ni hubby what we did last year, we booked kung ano ang start ng off peak. ang peak is until june 15. ang stay namin nag-start ng june 16. hehe di rin kase namin like ng msyado maraming tao. and bagsak rates talaga pag start ng off peak. buti nalang din hindi kami inulan. hehe

La Carmela is a nice place, beach front at may pool just in case your kids got tired of the sea. Medyo weird, but I find the sea of Boracay very salty compared to Panglao of Bohol.

If you are in a tight budget, there is a place called St. Vincent Cottages, it's a 5-minute walk to the beach ( you will pass by La Carmela). They have a cottage na Php2,500 good for 8 persons, 4 double beds, and may spacious na porch. You can also cook because they have a common kitchen or you can ask them to cook for you. They have a 50% promo pa if you have their discount card.

For me, it doesn't matter if you are in station 1, 2, or 3, because you can swim in any station you want.

Police station is near station 2 and 3, talipapa/market is in station 2, d'mall is in station 1.

Mga sis, when we went to Boracay last year we stayed at La Carmela. Tama si mommy hek, nice ang place and very reasonable ang price, may buffet breakfast pa for two pag additional na kid 100.00 lang.

Pero may sad experience kami ni hubby sa Boracay, our first day we went to talipapa.  Then namalengke kami ng fish (i dont remember lang kung anong klaseng fish) then nagpaluto kami sa isang resto dun ng sinigang sa miso.  Sarap na sarap kami ni hubby.

After eating, we went back to the hotel.  Alam ninyo mga sis, after 30 mins hubby and I felt na sobrang init ng mga katawan na and I was suffering a really really bad headache ( parang sasabog ang ulo ko).

Hubby decided to take a bath, then what he did nag vomit siya. Then he felt ok.

Ok I also took a bath and then natulog ako dahil hindi ko talaga kaya.  Then I called my mom I told her kung anong nangyayari sa amin.  Nag search siya agad sa internet.  She called me and told me na cyanide posioning daw kaming mag asawa. Siguro after 5 hours sumakit ng matindi ang tummy ko then that's the only time na nag ok ang pakiramdam ko.
I was sleeping the whole day.  So gabi na kami lumabas tuloy, sayang yung 1st day namin.

The following day, dun na kami kumakain sa mga resto na kilala mahirap na sis.

Hay... :'(

Sorry napahaba kuwento ko.

Kami kasi; hotel nasa 2-3k per night, tapos airfare may seat sale kasi sa cebu pacific dati kaming tatlo nasa 12k, then food namin budget nasa 1,500 per day. Nagastos namin nasa 30k na din including pasalubong.

At Boracay, P1,000 per room per day kami last Dec. 27-30 (2009). Nasa Station 2.  Okay ang room, Air Conditioned, with toilet and bath, hot water, cable TV, porch with duyan.  A few steps lang beach na.  Sorry, can't post the name of the place here, searchable itong board na ito sa Google eh :).

We also found low-priced excellent food, just a walk away.  Sarap ng grilled tuna (the size of a plate), for P50.  Big bowl serving ng rice for only P10 (equiv. to 3 cups yata).  Purified ang water...free.  Our fare was P1,776 each for a round trip flight Manila-Kalibo.

before we went to bora, nagsearch pako top 10 restos sa bora. yung mga must-try. ;) search mo website ni amazing planet ni anton. ;) super helpful sya.

People go to Boracay for the white sand beach and the crystal clear water...walang bato o corals na matalim, mababaw at pantay ang tubig.

Enjoy it while it still lasts...while it's still not ruined by drunks who throw their broken bottles and other filth.

Here's dinner last Aug 19-22, 2009
(http://lh4.ggpht.com/_oAB_EHoDLqQ/S4bsgljb7aI/AAAAAAAAAQ4/guHY1V_qXBM/s512/20090820%20%282043%29.JPG)
This is infront of Boracay Mandarin Island Hotel at Station 2.

At the entrance of the place where we stayed, there's also a good deal (according to my sister in-law, who's a chef from a family in Marikina who cooks excellent food and we're all budget travellers).

For refreshment, don't buy your buko on the beach, I think it costs about P120 each.  We enjoyed ours from a vendor out at sea (snorkelling area).  I think it was only P30 or P60 there.  When you're done drinking, the vendor will carve a piece of your coconut shell so you can scoop the coco meat.  Sarap.

Yes, you heard it right...vendors out at sea and they're lower in price.  The ice cream vendor was what really got our attention.  I just love the technology of Pinoy vending hahaha.

MICROTEL BORACAY Inns & Suites offers value for money accommodation.  It's a front beach hotel near station one and a bit private.

The good news is they have an on-going free 3D/2N Double Room Accommodation promo!  Check it out at www.hitabargain.com.

Hi Mommy...we also love going to boracay, we go there normally once a year (for this year twice:-)...boracay regency (Station 2) is nice, but it's your usual hotel accommodation and you have to walk through the hotel area to go to the beach, although it's beach front. But we enjoyed our stay in sandcastles apartment (station 2 but near station 1).we got the beachfront 2 BR room Maranaw, there are other rooms available...the rates then was discounted vs. published rats because it's not yet super peak season (January)...now I just booked Microtel (Station 1)...I got it online because it's cheaper vs. the rates I inquired to the reservation agency. You can also try GP's or Villa Simprosa (Station 2) near Club Manila East. It's budget room with AC and hot/cold shower, almost beach front for the old GP's/Villa Simprosa place. Enjoy! :-)

mommy michi depende kung ilang kayo eh. will you be getting the boat lang na kayo-kayo lang or yung boat na with other tourists? the first time we went island hopping yung with others parang 700 yata per head. i forgot na exactly how much kasi hubby paid and arranged it. the second time na solo namin yung boat parang 3k yata binayad namin.
i don't know how much yung reef walking (is that the one you're asking?) kasi we didn't try it. pero andaming nagooffer nun sa beach.  :)

Hi, sisses.   I'm torn between these two hotels:  Boracay Garden Resort (this is being run by Regency ata din)  and Boracay Beach Club.

Boracay Beach Club is more expensive, but I've seen very positive reviews over the internet.  Kayalang, plated lang yung breakfasts, then, maliit lang yung pool nila.  And mukhang maliit lang din ang rooms.  But the rooms looked comfy and very clean.

Boracay Garden Resort has many swimming pools. I just don't know if nag-improved na sila.

Please share naman your experiences with them. But since peak season yun, I want to make early reservation to secure a hassle-free stay.  Thanks.

Station 1 kasi un.  yung Boracay Garden kasi nasa Station 2.. eh medyo mas pang-family kasi ang Station 1.  Yun kasing Station 2, puro gimikan, so more of pang-barkada.
Thanks again.

Hello! I've stayed there last year. Okay naman yung place, malinis siya and all. The hotel is quite small with I think less than 20 rooms lang. If you want other choices na great for families, okay din Boracay Regency or Le Soleil. Medyo pricey nga lang but sometimes you can get discounts like when you book your boracay hotels with PHRS. Nagpa-book na ako sa kanila before and so far may difference naman yung price nila compared sa pagbook mo mismo sa hotel.

You can check their boracay hotels at: http://www.philippinehotelreservations.com/hotels-in-boracay/ (http://www.philippinehotelreservations.com/hotels-in-boracay/)

Hi.  We're going to Bora this April.  Medyo, pa-holy week kaya naku, maraming tao.  Gusto sana namin, yung medyo hindi ganun ka-peak, kaso, yun lang kasi din yung time na medyo free ako sa work.  Anyway, we'll be staying at Boracay Beach Club. We had finalized our reservations already.  Actually, we were initially torn between Boracay Beach Club and Boracay Garden Resort.  Kaso since we opted to stay at station 1, kaya BBC ang pinili namin.

Here's the link to BBC's website.. seems okay naman:
http://www.boracaybeachclub.com/ (http://www.boracaybeachclub.com/)

If you're scouting for hotels, here's a helpful website:

Meron din ditong maps and list of hotels per location.

para sa mga budget traveller like me, try niyo yung island nook hotel. di siya beach front, nasa main road siya, so pagbaba mu ng tricycle, yun na mismo yung place. malapit siya sa bpi, drug store, convenient store and d'mall. di naman malayo sa beach or dahil sanay ko sa lakaran...

ok ang rooms and service. may restaurant din sila "island kebab".

Para naman sa mga budget traveller na gusto beach front try nyo "STARFIRE" in station 3. 1600 per night with aircon and tv na, goodfor 3 person na din to, Dont expect so much para lang syang bahay, Pag gusto mo pumunta ng station 1 take tricycle kase malayo talaga sya pero tahimik dito at konti lang tao, Last December kase kami pumunta kaya medyo talaga wala masyado tao. Meron sila website if interested.

@kidsrepublik: yup, i saw the promo, but couldn't take that. i a going to bora with a toddler in tow. kami lang. i can't possibly leave him while i do jetskiing. what is he to do? besides, he couldn't do the water sports at his age. sayang!

anyways, if mommy and 4yo son is checking in at bora (august 2011), where could we stay, na di naman that expensive? i prefer one with pool sana. other websites doesn't have published rates, so nahihirapan ako mag-canvass. please help. thanks. we're there for 3d/4n.

ano-ano ba ang pwedeng toddler activities while there? the last time i was there, was like 7 years ago, so i wouldn't really know what to expect now.

we got a quotation for la carmela at P2100/night with free breakfast for two, ok na ba to?

TIA.

Astoria Boracay (beach front)

Pd mu puntahan yuyng Mt. Luho Viewpoint, Puka Beach and Bulabog beach kahit through tricycle lang.

@ sissies:  last Oct 2010, our company had an outing in Bora.. We stayed at Grand Prix, station 1 siya.. for me, ok lnag siya since tutulog lang naman at most of the time, nasa labas naman.. we occupied standard, deluxe and suite room..iba iba ang kinuha namin rooms to see whats the difference.. price wise, carry na.. for as low as Php 2000/person for 2 nights (w/ plated breakfast), ok na..

i also got the chance to visit and look the rooms of Astoria Plaza, Red Coconut, Boracay Mandarin, Boracay Regency, Le Soleil, Patio Pacific (grabe, their rooms are super nice! super love it!!), Microtel Inn (me & hubby stayed there 1 night, love it too, laki at ganda ng rooms)..  KASO the hotels i have mentioned medyo high end, pero may mga promo naman sila eh..

dapat talaga via Caticlan kayo mga sisses, kasi kakapagod biyahe from Kalibo airport, almost 2 hours din kasi ang ilalaan mo to get to the resort..

i also travelled pala with my 4mos old baby that time, kaya medyo mahirap PERO masaya kasi im with hubby and baby plus my officemates/ bosses na super bait.. hehe

Mommy Irene!!!!! hi. thanks sa feedback. i'm really still thinking. baka i opt to stay at La Carmela na lang with baby, para nasa gitna ng bora, tutal, August naman yun, so mas konting tao...di siguro maingay dun. Mahirap mag-gala with a 4yo kung palalakarin ko na lang sya ng palalakarin, just to see the sights.  I was given a P2100/night quotation with free breakfast for two, so ok na rin. The room is good for 4, so pwede kaming mag-tumbling ni baby. Hehe.

I'm still thinking if I'm getting one night at the Sea Wind Resort, for one day, kasi naka-promo ng P3800/night. At least, we could spend one great night at that hotel di ba? Whatcha think? Either that's my hotel upon arriving, or before leaving Bora...

Isip...isip.. may 9 hours na lang ako, before the deal expires at cashpinoy.com

Fellow mommies, if you're looking for hotel choices in Boracay you might want to check out Philippine Hotel Reservations Service's website. Last year kasi I went  to Boracay, and the hardest part talaga was choosing the best hotel to stay at, lalo na ang dami dami na kasing options sa Bora! Plus, I was also particular if the hotel was family friendly or pang bagets siya... So kayo mommies if you also have certain preferences, check out PHRS website: http://www.philippinehotelreservations.com/hotels-in-boracay/ at sana makatulong in planning for your bora trip!!! :)

ako rin magtatanong. naka book na kami ng flight for june 12-14 at kumuha ako ng isang return flight na june 17, all via PAL Kalibo. parang bitin kc kung 2 days lang.  ;) ako, husband and 20 months old baby by june. saang hotel kaya na may pool pero mura ok mag stay? kung 6days kasi na masyadong mahal accom baka mamulubi ako nun. also, pwede kaya kami mag island hopping kung may kasamang baby? is it safe kaya?

7500 for 4d/3n.
4 adults, 1 kid and a baby.
Buffet breakfast.

It's like 2 minutes to beachfront.

Kaya lang may feedback na malamok daw dun although consistent ang feedback about good service ng staff.

Im still checking other options. Try mo Agoda sis, kaya lang nga karamihan ng mura is either nasa station 1 or 3.

For those on tight budget, try to inquire with the ff:
 - Escondido   http://www.escondidoboracay.net/index.php (http://www.escondidoboracay.net/index.php)  (cheaper yata dito kapag via phone nag pareserve than online.. my friend stayed here recently, ok naman daw, mababait daw mga tao)
 - White Beach De Boracay http://boracayreservation.multiply.com/ (http://boracayreservation.multiply.com/)
 - La Carmela http://www.lacarmeladeboracay.com/ (http://www.lacarmeladeboracay.com/)

We'll be going to Bora this month.  However, we'll stay at BBC.

We don't usually stay sa mga hotels here. We have a regular house na we rent. Rate for low peak season usually is 1500 lang for executive room. May sarili kang bathroom, sala, own tv, airconditioned and two queen size bed. This is located at Station 2

we stayed in boracay courtyard (sis company of la carmela) 1st & last night namin P1k/night lang dun pwede sa mga mahilig namang magstroll lang ok din naman yung room with own cr, cable tv & a/c. la Cramela on 2nd night at P2.1K/night with set bfast you may upgrade to buffet pero if ako sa inyo wag na lang kasi di naman maxado masarap food. corned beef, scrambled egg, sweet ham & fruits in season lang naman. if upgrade ka to buffet add ka P75/head.

if given a chance i will come back to boracay with kiddos. hubby & i enjoyed our bonding time alone without the kids. ;D

i would love to recommend Boracay Tropics. superb!!!

costs P6,000+ for 3 days, 2 nights stay with free breakfast. i love the place, love the pool.  not on a beach front, but just near the road.  accessible if you want to explore the other sides of the island.

maybe you can get it cheaper if you book early.  i've booked through bookings.com

^^ ay ganun pala yun sis. pansin ko nga mahal ang return flight nila. thanks for the info. 2008 ako pumunta ng bora, stayed in an inn sa station 2 which was a few meters from the beach front. ok naman accomodations nila and mura ang rates. would want to go there next yr with my mom and baby and some cousins. hope to find a nice but affordable place for the family,  yung mura lang ang family room and pwede magluto hehe. anway we'll be spending most of our time sa beach naman. basta ayos ang aircon, di malamok and safe ang mga gamit, ok na kami dun hehe. kasi gagastos pa for the water activities diba..

ok time to backread na hehe...thanks for the tips mga mommies..

mga mommies may marecommend ba kayo na ok at magandang resort or hotel sa boracay, yung affordable yung rates and mas ok sana kung di malayo sa beach pati sa d'mall ?

I have the perfect suggestion for that - Bamboo Bungalows :) dyan kami nag-stay last april. beach front na at super lapit niya sa d'mall, as in. :) kung gusto mong hindi ma-tao, dun kayo sa orinda resort sa may diniwid beach, jan kami last year. mas mura sya compared sa Bamboo Bungalows pero malayo sya sa d'mall. :)

We already booked our Boracay trip for April 2012. We're going to spend 4 days and 3 nights there para salubungin yung birthday ko and celebrate na din our 7th anniversary (3rd wedding anniversary). Plus, this is Zoe's 1st beach trip.

Our flights are through Zest Air (Kalibo), we got it for 6.5k for 2 adults and 1 infant. Roundtrip na yan. We booked a room in Boracay Regency since there is where we usually stay kaht medyo pricey kase madameng pools, malinis ang rooms, and beach front talaga.

I have to agree with twelvth_goddess...when youre staying with kids and the rest of your family I highly recommend Boracay Regency as they almost never fail with taking care of your needs.  From the Airport pick up to little things like high chairs when dining, umbrellas when it rains, they never fail.  Might be a bit pricey but it comes with all the comfort you need plus more.

^Yes sis :) We've always had good experiences with Bora Regency talaga. From their airport pick up pa lang, well taken care of ka na kaagad. Also, super convenient yung malapit lang hotel kase Zoe's 1 year old pa lang so kung kelangan mag-change nappy or whatever, at least anjan lang.

Question po mommies. Yung April Bora trip namin is Zoe's first trip ever, she'll be 19 months by then. Do you think dapat pako magdala ng magaan na stroller for her? 4 days 3 nights lang naman kame sa bora. Chaka pano kaya yung sterilization ng bottles niya?
Title: Re: where to stay at Boracay?
Post by: ilove323 on December 24, 2011, 04:46:50 pm
^ I dont recommend bringing stroller sa boracay...sands can easily get stuck sa wheels plus hassle talaga... my 2 year old has gone to Boracay 3x and it will be her 4th time next Feb...we have never really bothered with bringing a stroller kasi mas nahahassle ako...sometimes she'll walk with us pero medyo slow kami sa pacing pero better than may bitbit na isa pang gamit...or carry her...

Sterilizing of bottles sometimes meron sa hotel you can ask before you go..sa regency they allow sa kitchen area nila if you have your items if not busy sa kitchen they accommodate without any trouble or use their electric kettle... thats how we did ours...pero yun nga sa ibang hotel they provide...

mga mommy's katulad ko, mas maganda mag stay sa ligtas na lugar for our kids like boracay holiday resort or boracay tropics. di sila beachfront pero ang security ng mga babies natin ang importante. may swimming pool yan pareho at talagang enjoy ang mga kids. last time nag pa book ako sa philippine hotel reservations service. super dali. puwede ninyo sila visit at philippinehotelreservation.com/hotels-in-boracay. thanks mommy's!

Thank you ilove323 :) Sige deadma na with the stroller. I'll ask Regency din about the sterilizer pero one of my friends told me about the sterilizing tablets at Mothercare so I'll check that too. Yung reservation officer na kausap ko from Regency, ipapa-free of charge na niya yung baby cot pag-check in namin. When I asked kase sabe niya 350 per night daw yon, eh sa ibang hotels nga alam ko walang charge yon basta may available. So when I asked kung pwede, pumayag naman sya.

I emailed their website directly. The first person who emailed me was Cherilyn Garcia. Eh kaso during the course of our email exchange, umalis na pala sya sa Regency so Wenna Suelo took over. Yung nag-finalize ng lahat after our payments was Fe Algarme.

dami pagpipilian na pang budget sa boracay if may kids maganda may pool kasi pag sumablay weather atleast may other activities sila...

here are some recommendations na pagstayan ko when Im on a tight budget lahat yan googable:

1. La Carmela (With Pool)
2. Royal Park (without Pool)
3. Tans Guest House (without Pool)
4. Villa Camilla (with Pool)
5. Island Nook (without Pool)

for activities I know a guy who owns one of the hotels posted above you can avail of island hopping and helmet diving etc at a lower cost than whats normally offered sa island..for instance island hopping niya with videos and pix nasa 350 each lang sa iba mga 400-500, yung banana boat ride niya 200 to 250 per pax... if may interesado PM me...or I can maybe post his number here din

BluAby - your budget will depend on what month you are going. Rates are dependent on the season kase. Kung group kayo and you wanna save, there are hotel+airfare packages in Cashcashpinoy na you can buy. Good for 3d2n na yata yon at La Carmela.

Since you're bringing kids with you, staying at a resort with pool is recommended para you have options.

share ko lang.. last dec6-8 nag boracay kami ng mom & baby ko.. we booked airfare via cebupac (papunta) and airphil (pauwi) kasi promo parehong airlines pero hindi ako makakuha ng roundtrip so kabilaan ang booking ko.. :)
2adult + 1infant = 3700 not bad kasi ang regular fare cost 2-3k per person per way pag walang promo.. :)
we booked a deluxe room (wala na raw standard pero i doubt it kasi wala naman maraming tao nung time na yun) from granprix boracay hideaway in station 1 beachfront just a few steps away from the white beach and it cost 2800 per night medyo mahal for me kasi aalog alog kami pero kung barkada kayo it can accomodate upto 6 pax daw mag add nalang konti for additional bed kasi 2 queen size bed na nanduon sa room. so all in all i can say mura sya compared kung sa bohol kasi dun mas mahal talaga we paid 20k for 2night accom on 2 standard rooms sa bohol beach club infairness naman super class A ng resort na yun.. hehe.. :)

now im booked again for march same pa rin sa gran prix boracay hideaway parin kami kasi ok yung place and naka pag swimming rin kami sa pool nila though lalakad kapa kasi yung pool nasa kabilang resort nila pero hndi naman malayo mga 15mins lang hehe.. 7k rate nila for quad sharing ng deluxe room 2nights with breakfast yun.. :)

Laha try mo kontakin sis. Try mo lahat. Agodo. Myboracayguide. Philippine hotel reservations or phrs.

Or sa agoda etc?

Whenever we stay in Bora, we book through Boris Travel Tours and we would get their Boracay regency packages, mas mura kesa sa published rates ng hotel mismo. This year though, hinde pa out yung rates nila for April so I had to book directly sa Boracay Regency. They gave us naman 15% discount but hinde full board yung meals which is ok lang din naman. I really like this hotel kase.

Review Boracay Garden, a Henann owned Resort

Been doing Regency for years pero just a few weeks ago I tried another resort which is also owned by the same management as Regency, this time around we stayed at Boracay Garden.
If youre travelling with family and wont need the full board meals go for this hotel with same transfers and private port as Regency.
Their family room is so much bigger than that of Regency's... Regency's family room comes with only 1 bathroom 1 queen size beds and 3 single beds,  while Boracay Garden's family rooms boast 2 bedrooms with total of 3 King size beds and 2 bathtubs it was really huge plus I think their pool is way nicer than Regency's and a lot warmer...the only draw back is all family rooms are located on the second floor.. Garden by the way is located 3 hotels I think from Regency's....

^Tried and tested na din kase samin Bora Regency sis kaya we always stay there. The rooms are clean and comfy plus the food is nice. I also like na madameng pools to choose from. I would wanna stay at Regency Lagoon next time though.

^ Try mo Boracay Garden if your preference is a family room... really huge I was going to try Lagoon kaso I was travelling with 2 seniors and a toddler and the shuttle ride could be too much for them... :D

^No problemo..just suggesting alternatives that are under the Henann Mgmt body... tried and tested ko din ang Regency been doing it for about 5 years or so..kaso si Hubby wants a different view or feel hehe he gains 3 pounds each time nag Reregency kami :D

^We didnt get the full board meal deal for Regency sis :( Kase nung wala pa silang rate for April nung time na nag-book kame nung December. pero naisip ok na din kase additional bonding time na din yung maglalakad kameng 3 para mghanap ng resto for dinner hehe

So ang lagoon pala, hinde beach front? medyo malayo sya?
Title: Re: where to stay at Boracay?
Post by: ilove323 on March 15, 2012, 05:07:26 pm
^ Yep Regency Lagoon is located at the back its quite a walk so Henann provides shuttles for guest to the Regency area...
Breakfast palang ng Regency grabe na si Hubby just loves their bacon so kahit di kumuha ng fullboard meals eh grabe pa din breakfast palang ilang pounds na....

For those who likes Crab..try the Crabhouse at Escondido grabe super sarap ng pagluto nila ng crabs... :D

Post by: twelvth_goddess on March 15, 2012, 10:39:57 pm
^Oohh, malayo pala sya, I thought beach front din.

I remember last time na we had the full board deal with BR, by the time na it's lunch time, busog pa kame from breakfast. Same goes with pag dinner time na. Yun nga din pati hinde kame nakapag-explore ng other restos dati so that's one of the things that we wanna do and kasama pa our little miss kaya super excited kame :)

Boracay Tropics. kasi unlike other five start hotels sa boracay this one is different, interior pa lang.
for me lang ha, been there several times and mas type ko yung cozy na parang nag vacation talaga. kasi rooms nila parang kubo kubo. may duyan ka pa sa sariling terrace. not unlike sa ibang hotels na as in room sa hotel. so hindi mo masyado mafeel yung beach vibe.

Title: Re: where to stay at Boracay?
Post by: twelvth_goddess on April 10, 2012, 08:05:49 pm
^Nice nga Boracay Tropics. They have nice packages too. My drawback lang with them is hinde beach front. But I guess mas ok sya kung privacy ang hanap mo.

^ Yep matagal na nilang promo yang Celeste... Naku trip ko din pumunta jan sa tropics dati kasi website palang parang ang laki ng area and mukang cozy kaso I keep going back to my comfort zone mga henann owned resorts..

anyway any feedback sa tropics..gano kalayo sa beach..and nasa likod sya ng anong resort? was wondering if you go sa beach area do they have their own beach beds? ive always been curious yang best western and microtel kasi sa u.s medyo sila yung ok na budgetted na mga overnight stays... dko alam if they deliver ok din dito...

..we stayed at Boracay Peninsula although mas gusto sana namin yun kubo kubo ang ambiance kaso Jan na ko nagpa book and almost all resorts are already booked...pero ok na din ang Boracay Peninsula because
 (1) it's beach front and may beach bed for guests
 (2) may swimming pool
(3) free breakfast and you get to choose American, continental or Filipino breakfast
(4) the dining area has a nice view of the beach and the people strolling below
(5) its located in Station 2 so malapit sa D Mall and D Talipapa (where you can buy souvenirs/food at cheaper price)
(6) its near Shakey's..its odd na mag Shakey's ka sa Boracay di ba? dapat mag indulge sa seafoods if mag Boracay.. we bought spaghetti there cause of my toddler na gusto ang pasta..he he..

..at  D Talipapa dun kami namalengke and nagpaluto tapos take out lang namin..as in super mura compared sa mga restaurants..nagsawa si daughter ko sa shrimp and iba iba luto and si hubby and ako sa fish and other seafoods..yun iba foreigner (na natuto na din) ganun na din ginagawa nagpapaluto sa D Talipapa...on first day lang kami nag restaurant..so nag enjoy talaga kami sa seafoods

..if not for the D Talipapa mas gusto sana namin mga resort sa Station 3 kasi hindi masyado crowded yun lang ang layo ng lalakarin para ma enjoy ang seafoods..

We went to Boracay again last week but we stayed at Sea Wind in station 1 this time. I totally fell in love with the place and bigla ko na-hate ang station 2. Station 1's shoreline is wider kase plus mas tahimik don, perfect if you dont want to party or if you have kids.

Anyone heard of Frendz resort in Boracay? I have been searching for affordable accomodations in boracay lately. First time kasi namin pupunta kaya super search ako sa internet. Then I saw Frendz, look for their own site and nakita  ko yung fb nila. Andami positive feedbacks, the one that I can't forget is sabi nung isa that their service is far better than that of la carmela. I'm considering la carmela din kasi pagnagpunta kami next summer. Also Bans, Frendz nga, and since large group kami I'm also considering Pito Hut beach house.  And upon reading posts from this thread para gusto ko sa station 1. Hay! Sobrang hirap mamili...

^I've never stayed at La Carmela but my cousin had, for 1 night lang. They decided to cancel their booking (suite room pa to ha) because super ingay daw, they couldnt sleep at all kase dinig na dinig ang ingay sa labas.

After staying at station 1, I prefer it na din because of their wide shoreline and because it's a lot quiter and peaceful there compared to station 2.

^Sabe ng cousin ko maingay daw sis :( They stayed at one of their premiere suites, pero one night lang sila nagtagal instead of 6. Lumipat sila sa Sea Wind.

I havent stayed there yet, madalas sa Boracay regency kame. I have no bad comments about those 2 hotels kase maganda talaga experience ko. Mas prefer ko na lang talaga ang station 1 ngayon because it's a lot quieter than station 2 plus the shore line is so much wider.

if you don't want to spend much on accommodations, you can try villa simprosa: https://www.facebook.com/villasimprosa.boracay. mura lang rates nila lalo na if hindi peak season.

Nagback read ako and I saw this post about Villa Simprosa. And to my surprise eto pala yung hinahanap namin na GP's resort (former name), classmate kasi ni hubby nung college  yung owner nito. Wala na kasi silang communication, last time hubby's in boracay was 2000 pa kaya hindi niya alam if ano ng name nung resort nila now. Mura lang rates nila, P2,500/night for 4pax na, station 2 beachfront.  Hopefully makakuha kami ng discounts.

Buhayin ko lang for Boracay 2014. :)

Im once again going but unsure of where to go since I will be traveling with the parents and classmates of my daughter.

Has anyone tried budget traveling to Boracay here where they cook instead of going out for dinner and lunch during their stay? It is most preferred by the moms I will be going with.  Cant recommend any since I have not tried though judging from google and review it is Tans Guest house that tops the list.  Not sure if I want to do a non beach front stay though.

If you have any 2cents to help me decide I would appreciate your contribution.  THanks :)

hi mga mommies..

balita naman sa bora trips niyo recently? hehe. it will be my/our first time to get there..
medyo matagal pa naman ang trip namin pero excited nako since first time nga and birthday ni hubby and our anniversary narin. actually hindi pa niya alam na nagbook nako ng tickets namin via cebupac. it costs 4k roundtrip via kalibo. 3 na kami with our 3 yr old son.

still scouting where we can stay. for 4D/3N. hindi ko lang masyado maintindihan yung peak/ off peak nila., sa iba resort kasi, low peak ang Nov 11. tapos sa iba naman, high peak.. hehe

mas ideal ba ang walk in nalang since di naman daw masyadong matao sa Nov. kaya lang mas gusto ko na rin yung pagdating dun, no worries na since we will be travelling with our son..
Nabasa ko rin sa blog ni mommy juvyann na mas cheaper pag hindi yung resort ang magprovide ng service from airport to resort? hmm.. any mommies na from kalibo din ang galing, may van ba doon o any mode of transfers going to caticlan? salamat mga mommies.

My family and I have been to Boracay 2 times. The first one was in September 2013. Lean season noon and we stayed at Residencia along station 1. We got it for 2,600 Pesos per night. 3 nights kami. Residencia is somewhere between Discovery and Two Seasons. Maulan when we went there so wala kami nagawang activity. Foodtrip lang at swimming sa beach.

The second time was in January 2015. We attended a wedding. Peak season ito and we were on a budget. I think around 4,000 Pesos ang cheapest room sa Residencia pag peak season. So, instead na mag Residencia, nagbook kami ng room sa Paradiso Inn. 2,400 pesos/night for 2 nights. Paradiso Inn is located along the side alley beside Casa Fiesta sa Station 1. Just 20 steps away from the beachfront. May footbath din naman, pero sa labas. Our room came with one queen bed and one single bed. Bathroom was clean. No breakfast. Pero may carinderia beside it where we had our breakfast for 50pesos/head.

We hired a tricycle to take us to Mount Luho Viewpoint and then to Puka Beach. We paid 300 Pesos for one hour one-way trip. Tricycle from Puka Beach back to Paradiso Inn cost us 150 Pesos (special trip). In the afternoon, we did paraw sailing. It was just me, my hubby and my 3-year-old daughter. We paid 500 Pesos for a 30-min boat ride.
