Hi!

I just gave birth last January 23 at Mary Chiles Hospital in Manila, CS (non-complicated), spend  30k plus all in (since wala kami pareho Philhealth mag asawa), charity ward lang po kung magprivate OB kc ako will spend double than what we had paid. So far ok naman naging experience ko magagaling mga OB nila and malinis at hindi matao yung hospital maalagaan ka talaga.

For NSD sa rate na binigay sa akin it will only cost 10-15k, if you have philhealth mas lesser pa siya...Private Hospital na kung hindi ka naman maselan at nagtitipid talga ok yung hospital na un..=)

I gave birth on my 3rd last July 14th. My bill was Php50,000 in PGH. I took their private ward (wala kasing available na room na ikaw lang mag-isa when we arrive), and yung OB ko kasi is private that's why we can't avail the regular (charity) ward. We are six (6) in a room.

Of course, since you're in a private room, friendly naman sila sakin and have extra care compared when you're in charity (pagnakukwentuhan kami ng mga officemates ko).

My OB kase is Doc Judith Briones is affiliated either sa East Avenue or Delgado Hospital lang.

I will be asking my OB's professional fee sa check up ko sa monday.

I already asked yung admission ng hospital kung how much yung room rates and a private room only costs 1.2k per day.
No info on delivery room rates, di alam sa admission. I tried asking sa delivery room nila kung magkano but cant get a straight answer.

I will be on elective CS and I will pop by 2nd week ng September. Any feeback about the rates and OB is appreciated. :D

I just gave birth via csection last month at makati med. the CS maternity package cost 82k, but we were billed 100k for additional tests ordered by my ob, post op meds, and other misc fees. I actually blogged about it recently, you can check it out as it is more detailed:

Hi mommy cheri bomb!

Grrrr. Exage!

Good to know someone with same OB. Dra. Briones is really nice, she still managed to accomodate me on my first check up with her even though may pending CS operation na siya! I really like her among the rest of the OB na na-meet ko. :)

Scheduled na ako for September 10.

Sige sis balitaan mo ko. :) Hope we both have a safe delivery! :)

Just gave birth at manila doctors last week, july 24. CS inabot din ng 90k no card, no philhealth. Stayed there for 4 days. Ok naman service other than the tech who did the newborn screening. Walang compassion for the newborn. But all in all, ok naman sa madocs

Just gave birth at Olivarez General Hospital in Paranaque via NSD last Aug 4'2013 by Dra. Venette Calazan

Total Bill - 34k (mommy and baby) less philhealth na..

Sa ward lang ako nagstay for 1day.. I was admitted 6pm of Aug4, and check out na kami ng 8pm of Aug5. Hehe...

medyo maingay nga lang kasi under construction yung upper floors ng building...

Pero all in all..

Just gave birth recently in Marikina St. Vincent Hospital via CS. Our total bill was around 50K (philhealth already deducted). We just paid for the baby's new born screening. Ok sa St Vincent. The doctors who took care of me were good. Even the nurses, maasikaso. The facilities are new. Kahit masakit ang recovery from CS operation,  thumbs up ang experience with St Vincent.  :)

I gave birth via CS at Dr. Jesus Delgado Memorial Hospital on August 05, 2013 and my bill was around P90k+ (PhilHealth was not yet deducted) for 4 days and 3 nights. My baby's bill was around P10-11k+, he stayed in the nursery for 3 nights. It was induced labor from the start then my cervix did not reach 10cm so they have to do caesarian section.

I only paid P6,000++ because I have an HMO but it was still expensive I think. I stayed in a semi-private room for two when I went out from the recovery room, after 12 hours we transferred to a private room.

However, the service was great, staff were nice and also those resident doctor who assisted me during my labor at the labor room.

*tips: if you plan to give birth here, bring your own digital thermometer so you won't be obliged to get one.

If its not too much to ask, pwede ba malaman yung breakdown nung expenses mo sa Delgado?
Yung PF ni Dra. Briones at her anes & pedia team tapos yung actual hospital bill.

Kaya no choice but to shell out money from our own pocket.  :-[

We are scheduled na sa East Avenue for elective CS sa September 10, pero hubs is considering Delgado na rin since onti lang ang difference at malapit din sa bahay.

Galing kase kame dun nung thursday para magpa-biophysical score (BPS) at the same time ipabasa yung result kay doc.

Salamat sis at hope to hear!  8)

I gave birth via CS at Dr. Jesus Delgado Memorial Hospital last August 8, 2013. Si Dra. Margarita Agdamag OB ko. Around 40K yung hospital bill namin, may HMO ako Maxicare - idededuct yun sa hospital bill and philhealth.

Agdamag is 35K plus yung Anesthesiologist niya 15K and Pedia is 7K. (Package deal kasi sila)

All in all - Around 60K binayaran namin. 2 nights 3 days.

Nagpapainless ako and ininduce labor pero ayaw pa din so na-CS ako.

And binigyan pa kami ng kit (Nan HW formula milk 400g, Prokids NB diaper, Erythromycin oinment, alcohol, thermometer etc).

Kasama na din pala yung vaccine and New Born screening sa hospital bill.

Maganda yung experience ko dito mga mommies! Hope sharing it will help. Goodluck future mommies!

Hi,

I'm a first time mom (22 weeks) and I want to give birth sa San Pedro, Laguna. I have scoliosis so I want to give birth sa Hospital para whatever happens my baby and I are safe plus baka kasi maCS ako. Does anyone know how much to give birth sa Evangelista or sa Family Care? 50k lang ang budget ko eh.
If you can recommend other nearby hospitals too, that would be great.

Thank you in advance mommies!

For those who are planning to give birth in Makati Med, I made a detailed entry on my blog about the costs and experience and posted a link in one of the previous threads. I made it very detailed and many mom's found it informative. Unfortunately, it got deleted for some reason! So anyway, if you would like info and feedback, feel free to check out the repost. I'll be glad to address any questions you may have.

Hello mommies!

Has anyone here given birth at St. Lukes QC this year?  My OB quoted me around 115k for CS private room (All PF included).  Hubby and I are saving up for my due date (April 2014).

Of course the 115k amount is just an estimate, kaya natatakot ako sa actual bill.  My OB is affiliated both sa St Lukes and Delgado.  She told me na mga 10k lang daw difference nung 2 hospitals.  So since mas malapit St lukes sa house, dun na lang kami..  ayoko lang magulat sa billing statement namin when the time comes.

If anyone has experience to share, please post naman :)

Thanks!

Hi mommies! Gave birth via emergency cs sa St Therese of Lisieux Hospital in Pasig under Dra Serrano. Total bill was 65k including all pfs (OB, Anes, Pedia). Not sure lang kung how much pero may additional charge pa daw kasama dun kasi Dec 25 ako nanganak. Ganun daw pag holidays eh. By the way yan na lahat binayaran ko after philhealth deductions.

World Citi Medical Center QC

Hospital Bill P13,300 (Mommy) + P7,300 (Baby)
Doctor's PF P30,000 (OB, Anes, Pedia)
TOTAL: P50,600

NSD. 3 days and 2 nights in a private room + 12 hours in labor room and 2 hours in recovery room. Wala kaming kahit anong health card. Haha! Maganda ang experience ko sa lahat! Worth it ang binayad namen.

I highly recommend my OB, Dra. Olivia Ocampo.

Inalagaan talaga niya ako na parang anak :D free pa yung check-ups after manganak.

Guide nila ako since first time mom kase ako.

Madame din freebies like diapers, medicines, vitamins, Dr. Edwards, thermometer. Kasama na din vaccines and New Born Screening, pag register ng birth certificate. May kasama din na Certificate of Birth na may photo and footprints :D

Thanks!

sis ganyan rin sabi sa akin ng ob ko, parang same tayo ng ob. nsd sakin then ang quote 60-70k for st lukes and less than 10k for delgado. nag down na rin ako ng pf sa ob ko para less tax ang babayaran ko sa hosp for her pf. i chose st lukes and our final bill was 94k and nag stay si baby for a few hours sa nursery dahil meconium stained yung bow ko. akala ko kasama na yung pf's ng doctors (pedia, ob, anest) dun sa 70k na quote sakin pero hindi pa pala  :o

Mommy sa VRP ako nanganak 2 yrs ago and I don't have plans of going back hehe, mahal pero pangit naman facilities. I think TMC is way better. VRP has packages, inquire ka lang.

Hi sis! Thanks for replying.  My OB is dra gorospe. I'm also high blood so feeling ko more than 115k yung magiging actual bill ko.. And I want ligation na din.. Anyway..

Did you get a private room? If you don't mind me asking, how much were the doctor's PFs?  :)

Same tayo ng ob sis. 45k, 10k anes, 5k pedia.

Dra gorospe delivered my 2nd baby, this is my third, pero different hospital kami nun, and this was 7 yrs ago :) so I know na iba na gastos ng childbirth ngayon.

I gave birth via CS at Dr. Jesus Delgado Memorial Hospital last August 8, 2013. Si Dra. Margarita Agdamag OB ko. Around 40K yung hospital bill namin, may HMO ako Maxicare - idededuct yun sa hospital bill and philhealth.

Agdamag is 35K plus yung Anesthesiologist niya 15K and Pedia is 7K. (Package deal kasi sila)

All in all - Around 60K binayaran namin. 2 nights 3 days./size]

^ Hi mommy mingadriano! I am planning to give birth sa delgado if hindi na pumayag ang OB ko na magtravel pa ako sa hometown namen before manganak. I just wanna ask kung how much talaga yung binyaran nyong cash for your CS delivery. I'll have a repest CS kasi, i am 15 weeks now and my due will be on July this year. I was thinking kasi ang sabi mo 4k lang lahat ng binyaran mo out of 40k na bill nyo.. hehe..sorry ha..i got confused kasi sinabi mo din na 60k all in all.

Hope you could reply me soon. TIA!

Hi mga mommies! Ako naman po sa MCU manganganak. My OBGYN is Dra. Francisco. Nung 2011 na D&C ako, with PF and anest 35k. I asked her secretary sabi magprepare daw ako 35-40k (pedia not incl) so siguro 50k more or less need namin iprepare including NBS and initial vaccine for baby. This is for a private room quote.

I plan to give birth din sa St Lukes QC. Ang quote na bigay ng doctor is 70-80k normal delivery kasama na daw PF tapos up to double daw if CS.

Pero this will be my first time giving birth at st. Lukes, so worried din ako sa final bill namin. I'm due in April...

Hi mga mommies! I gave birth last Feb. 28 sa San Juan De Dios Hospital. Grabe sobrang sakit pala!

(aka. Now it was my 2nd pregnancy im 6 weeks and 5 days and im hoping na sana normal delivery uli. My husband is working now sa city hall and nagresign muna ako sa previous work ko sa isang French Fine Dinning sa BGC taguig.

Sino OB mo?

Ma.

Salamat.

HI everyone, i'm a newbie here. I wanna get your opinions on the policy of feeding of child in St. Therese's Pasig. It's our first time to encounter kasi na the bottle that will be used by the newborn is strictly from the hospital. Reason nila is sterile daw kasi. We asked if it's a new bottle per newborn. Di daw, they are just sterilized. Required that we use their bottle, pati clothes. so it's like renting the bottles, clothes, mittens, bonnet, blanket, etc of the baby while in the hospital. I've given birth to 2 kids in a big hospital and their policy is not like that. When we asked if we can have out bottle of choice, di daw puede. Our point is, the bottles have been passed on na for how many years kaya. kahit nipple di naman pinalitan, just sterilized. i know these are just babies, but for a first time mom, of course may preferences for brand ng bottle (anti colic, bpa free) that you want for your baby. Is this normal? medyo disappointed kasi ako sa service nila and they're letting us pay for every single thing there... masyadong negosyante.

Appreciate your inputs. thanks

Hello all,

I just gave birth april 9 and wanted to share the rates.

I gave birth sa st lukes QC. Made reservations for small private room.  My doc advised that we check in at 12midnight April 9 para di na ma charge ng April 8. My CS sched is at 3pm April 9. By the way, mine was CS with ligation procedure.

No small private rooms available so we were upgraded for free to a regular private room :)

Doc PF:  OBGYN 70k, ANES: 18k, pedia: 6k

Hospital bill: 43k
Less philhealth: 12k (11k for me, 1k for the baby)

I was there from April 9 - 11

Total bill: 137k (hospital and PF)
Paid: 125k

I think it's not bad considering it was st lukes, and the on going rate is usually 150-200k for that hospital for CS.

Hope this helps! :)

Our OB is Dra. Mitch Dado, and dun sa 2 hospital siya connected. Just want to be ready kasi although she has given us the estimate and to prepare for CS mas better kung may actual data na galing sa actual payers..

Thanks

yung office mate ko 6k lang nagastos nila for normal delivery kaya lang sa lying in sya. Okay naman sa lying in kaya lang mas pinili ko mag hospital kasi first baby. Isa pa, sa lying in pinapapasok yung husband sa loob ng delivery room and labor room, sa hospital abangers lang sila sa labas.

Hi mga mommies,

I'm 16weeks pregy and my due will be on Oct21, firstime Mom :) excited na medyo ninenerbyos.  :D

so it will be your choice kung saan, sa hospital or sa maternity clinic nila.

I gave birth last oct 10, 2013. My bill was only 9000 at Dr. Montano G. Ramos Hospital Quezon City. no PhilHealth. NSD, 2Days. Ward. Mababait doctors and mga nurses.

May I know the name od your OB po s Dr. Montano G. Ramos Hospital and her contact no.  Thanks po! :)

Hi sis, si Dra. Caridad Ramos OB ko dun. Sorry wala kasi akong contact niya.

Hi Mommies!

Im already in my 29th week and preparing for the big day as early as now esp when budget is concerned. Me and my husband did an extensive research even before getting pregnant since we have been carefully planning on having our first baby on the maternity packages in MM hospitals particularly hospitals near our location which are Cardinal, MMC, St Lukes Global and Medical City but among all we have found that Cardinal was the most affordable thats why we chose this hospital in the first place.

Here is the maternity packages I got again this month directly from the lobby reservation counter. (unfortunately wasnt able to attach the file)

Cardinal Santos
OB Package Rates with Philhealth

NSD Local
Package rate P26,000
Philhealth deduction P3,900 (applicable till the 4th delivery only)
Required initikal payment P22,100
2 days, room in, small private

NSD Epidural
Package rate P35,000
Philhealth deduction P3,900 (applicable till the 4th delivery only)
Required initial payment P31,100
2 days, room in, small private

Caesarian Section
Package rate P38,500
Philhealth deduction P11,400 (unlimited)
Required initial payment P27,100
3 days, room in, small private

Inclusive of
delivery room
labor room
hospital charges and other charges except
Professional fees

But then we found out that OB can also give her own maternity packages that will already include her PF, Pedia and the anaest. So we asked her about the maternity package last saturday and I was quite surprised to find out that she quoted as follows:

NSD Epidural
around 70-90K

CS
around 120-150k

and she added that altho there are maternity packages under Cardinal is that she doesnt reco it esp for first babies besides they have a lot of hidden and added costs that might even end up more expensive than what she quoted and she advised us also to get ready for a budget of CS anytime (which is of course a good advice)

but then we realized that means that CS will comprise of about 110-120K PF alone compared to 27K of cardinal if we will avail of her maternity package right? as for the NSD Epidural it will not be much different since we are estimating the PF to about 30k (so, 31K+30K PF=60K+ to 70-90K of Agdamag so quite acceptable)

Now our questions are:
1. What is the difference of the maternity packages from the hospital versus packages given by OBs?
2. What hidden charges or added costs was she pertaining to in the maternity packages by hospitals? did anybody esperience this?
3. Normally how much is the PF of OB? is there really that much different PF in normal and cs delivery PF that affects the whole package all in all?
4. What is your recommendation? avail on our OBs packages or still insist to avail on the hospital package and risk the minimal add ons on cost (if any?)

Appreciate your replies esp those being handled by Dra Agdamag herself. Just to add on this that we nonetheless very satisfied on our experience with our OB but of course jsut doing out due diligence on the matter. Thanks in advance!

All-in-all we paid 100k.
Discounted pa yan.
I can't complain tho coz my OB did a GREAT job!!!
Parang wala lang yung sugat ko and I was able to move around the following day!!!  ;D

good evening po may wife had undergone d and c almost 2 weeks ago. we had no idea about this procedure and only found out the we had already lost the baby and that this surgery was needed to be done NOW.  we were not prepared financially My wives HMO wouldnt cover any expense because they dont cover d and c procedure.
this was done sa LPDH Las pinas doctors hospital.
series of events
5pm -check up with the doctor we weret then informed of the situation (that d and c was needed)
was charged 500 PF then sent us to
emergency room  saw another doctor and was again charged with hospital fees and 500 PF
7pm- my wife was sent to the OR
130am -discharge from recovery room. OB ward room namin 550 a night
1130am - allowed to check out
after the procedure before discharge  should there be another check up?

hospital charges total to 8724.97
professional fees
OB 20,000.00
anesthesiologist - 7500
pathologist - 2000
ROD- 500
 total of 30,000.00

we currently are still struggling to pay the amount needed to be discharged with a promissory note to be paid within 10 days there would be an interest rate of 25% per annum.
the attending physician now refuses to sign the medical certificate that is needed for her employer and SSS
we had already explained to the physician oue financial status and that we are hoping to use the benifits that we could recieve if these documents were processed on time.
we also had offered her a postdated check dated within 10days this was as well refused and demanded cash.

i feel that this is a violation of the physicians code of ethics art.2 sec 7
i also feel that they have over charged us too much took advantage of us since we are a young couple
and basically clueless on how to go about hospital bills and over charging physicians

i am not totally clueless as to my wife already gave birth to my first born last 2013 this was in Perpetual Las pinas
PF of OB was 20000.00 aswell normal delivery and
anesthesiologist - 5500
pedia - 2500

this was under maternity package as well as this most recent from LPDH

I gave birth dec 2014 at bacoor doctors my OB is dra. Amores Total Bill is 29,500 kasama na si Baby And PF doctors. Advise ko din sa soon to be mommies ask ninyo affiliated hospitals ng OB nyo during pre-natal para maplan mabuti panganganak not only sa financial pati time going there just in case emergency.

Hi, have you tried sa Pasig City Gen Hospital.. I paid 17k. The trick there is sabihin mo taga pasig ka para may discount, you can even give a friend or relatives address na taga pasig. Kasi yung bill ko nun me naka tatak talga (not pasig resident, haha) pero over all yung nurses, yung facilities e maganda and malinis, they were nice as well. The only bad comment lang e sa akin lang nila pinakita si baby, they didn't show my girl sa family ko nilagay nla agad sa box.

Better if the lying-in is manned by an OB-GYNE mismo.
You can try MY CHOICE CLINIC of Dr Flor Nucum at Santolan, Pasig.
She was my OB - the best OB in Pasig.
Reasonably priced at maasikaso pa.
Painless delivery I think in her new lying-in clinic.
You can contact her if she still has the same number at 09175264263 and 09232183700.
She has many good feedbacks dito

Hi mga mommies. Newbie here! Nasa 37th week nako ng pregnancy at sa FEU-NRMF ako nagpapatingin. OB ko si Dr. Carliza Sugay. Magaling sya kaso yung quote niya saken for normal delivery is 60k.

Hi Mommy Banana girl!
I came by your post asking magkano sa FEU-NRMF.
Thank you!

Hi Aj!

Si Dra Sugay din ang OB ko. Magaling talaga si Dra Sugay and yung husband niya kase sya yung Anesthesiologist.

Nagnormal delivery ako sakanya last 2011. :)

medyo mahal kase si Dra Sugay talaga and mahal sa FEU mismo.  ;D

Magkano po bayad kay Doc. Ocampo per check up? Sa World Citi Medical Center.

I'm on my 19th week.

I originally came from Tondo so malapit kami dyan taga Manuguit ako...walang bayad as far as I know if Manila resident ka at registered voter ng Manila, pero mas preferred nila if dun ka nagpapa checkup eversince mapreggy ka...may mga neighbors ako dun nanganganak eh...

Hello! I'm a newbie here in SP. I have read posts regarding the mentioned subject above, and i feel it needs to be updated. Mga kapwa ko momshies..., I wanna know if you have any ideas/recommendations for OB Packages for 2019 for hospitals/lying ins around Sta Rosa and Biñan Laguna. Currently, I'm having my ob check ups in New Sinai MDI with Dra. Addun as my OB. She qouted 30k-40k package inclusive of her PF na daw for NSD. But sabi niya roughly 50k need namin prepare just in case. medyo namamahalan kami ng hubby ko. Kaya sana mga mommies, need help. Im 26 weeks preggy and I am anxious kase wala pa talaga ako mahanap kung san ako manganganak. Thank u in advance.
