Kids With Special Needs / Re: Developmental Pediatrician
« on: September 10, 2015, 01:05:18 am »
Good morning mga mommies,

I want to have my 6 year old daughter assessed din po sana.  I have called the office of Dra. Stella Manalo and the earliest slot is on January 11 so mga 4 months pa from now. I want my daughter checked kasi sana as soon as possible.  My daughter is in first grade and just last Saturday, kinausap kami ng adviser ng anak ko about my daughter's behavior in school.  I know na medyo hyper yung anak ko but we were told na lagi nakatayo sya nakatayo sa classroom and always curious about the things inside and out of the classroom.  Sabi ng teacher niya bibo daw ang anak ko but not academically, she's always interested about the things na nakikita niya sa labas or sa loob and would ask questions about it even when they are discussing a lesson.  The teacher also asked us if my child has a hearing problem kasi she doesn't respond kapag tinatawag sya.  Wala naman talagang hearing problem ang anak ko, the problem is, when she is doing something, she's too focused on it to the point na ayaw niya magrespond pag tinatawag sya.  I tested her one time, tinawag ko sya, maraming beses bago sya lumapit sa akin, I asked her kung naririnig niya ako na tinatawag sya, she responded saying "Yes, but I was busy".   Wala naman po syang speech problem, wala din naman syang problem when it comes playing with other kids.  Pero hindi sya makatapos ng tasks sa school like magsulat or sagutan yung seatwork niya.

Anyway, I would appreciate kung may mairerefer kayo na child development specialist na kaya kami maaacomodate ng mas maaga.

TIA

Hi Mommy Mhy,

I don't think it should be a ground for you not be regularized.  Kasi if that happens, then it is against labor law na anti-discrimination.   So whether buntis ka or hindi as long as nadedeliver mo naman whatever is required of you, then you should be okay.

Sa company nga namin, merong nahire like two months na lang bago siya magmaternity leave and naregularized din siya :)

two weeks before ng due date ko ako nag maternity leave. Since sa company namin once nagfile ka na ng maternity leave, di ka na ssweldo from the company so what I did was filing 1st week as VL and SL para may sweldo pa rin ako.

So technically, 1 week before ng due date ako nagfile ng maternity leave.

Baby Development and Milestones / Re: Re: Baby Shampoo
« on: June 07, 2011, 04:17:08 pm »
With my two-year old daughter I use Dove extra sensitive soap and Switzal shampoo for her hair.

With my new born naman I am using Lactacyd.  But I am thinking of replacing it, any suggestions for newborn soap?  yung mura lang pero okay naman especially yung okay magmoisturize kasi may skin asthma ako and yung daughter ko, di pa naman nagmamanifest yung skin asthma niya though.

« on: June 07, 2011, 12:12:49 pm »
I have the same problem with my panganay, she's turning 2 this month.

I give our yaya 3.5k every month plus SSS (but my MIL pays for it).  For now all around naman kasi siya, siya ang tagalinis, laba, and alaga kay baby.  Now I just gave birth again, I am thinking kung magbibigay ba ako ng raise or bawasan na lang work load niya.

the problem i have is yung fats na nabuild up sa tummy.  After giving birth to my first baby, bumalik naman sa dati yung face, braso, hita and legs except lang sa tummy and dun sa may balakang...

Pero I remember not using binder like 3 weeks after kong manganak, ang init kasi eh...

Hindi ko na nga maipapakita what's underneath the clothes because of my stretchmarks, at least man lang sana bumalik yung shape niya  :'(

Sabi ng OB ko, hanggat naka maternity leave ako, gamitin ko yung binder and pagbalik sa work naman use yung panty girdle, it will help me shape up my tummy daw.  hopefully magwork!

siguro depende talaga sa skin type natin yan.  I thought I will never have stretchmarks kasi 7 mos na yung tummy ko wala pa rin ako marks, but when my tummy turned 8 mos.... nyay :-[  ayun dami na naglabasan.

I have a dry skin type, kaya nga nagkaskin asthma din ako, and no matter what kind of moisturizing cream and lotion and I put on my tummy, nagprogress pa rin ang stretchmarks ko haha...

It will just lighten the color but not totally remove it.

Pregnancy Health and Nutrition / Re: All About Post-Partum Hair Loss
« on: June 06, 2011, 03:48:58 pm »
that's the same problem I had with my first baby and will be having with my second.  I just gave birth last Tuesday (CS).

4 Days from being discharged from the hospital, nagpasalon na kaagad ako haha ;). I am not sure if somehow that will help sa hair loss.

When we were told na may skin asthma yung baby ko, we were advised to use cetaphil on her.  So I've tried it, and it's good, pero medyo mahal so we shifted to oilatum, mas mura siya but has the same effect on her.  We used it until her rashes are gone.

Pero nung one time nahirapan ako maghanap ng oilatum sa supermarket, I've tried using dove extra sensitive kasi isa din un sa mga inadvised ng derma, and okay naman siya.  Ang lambot ng skin ng baby ko.  And mas makakamura pa :)

Romantic Relationships / Re: paano ba kayo mg away ni hubby?
« on: June 03, 2011, 04:25:00 pm »

But when we fight, it's always silent war.

But it's always best to talk about what went wrong so we know what to stop, or start or continue.  And lastly, never let the sun go down in your anger.

my baby will turn 1 year next month and im checkng kung anong milk ba ang pwede sa 1 year old...ho much po ang ndo for 1 year old ngyon?

We give Nido Jr. for our eldest.  We started using it when she turned a year and a half and okay naman ang nutrients niya.  Before we were giving her Promil, then we started looking out for milk na medyo mura but with competetive nutrients, and Nido Jr lang yung nakita namin.  yung 2kls niya is Php870++.
