News, Entertainment and Politics / Re: fake documents in Recto
« on: July 09, 2019, 11:11:33 am »
Hello and welcome back to Parent Chat Sis! I'm happy you're back but sad kasi nakakalungkot ang story mo. Una muna, I do not tolerate illegal docs and their makers kaya I will not advice you on that. I do have a suggestion.

Why not go to your city counselor (konsehal). Trabaho kasi nila tumulong sa mga citizens with problems like yours. What you will ask is a letter of recommendation from him. If he can vouch for you doon sa gusto mong applyan. That he recommends you would be taken as a casual employee lang muna habang hindi pa complete yung medical requirement mo. Sa City Hall ang daming nagaapply ng business permit, maybe yung konsehal knows any manager or small business operator na pwedeng i-employ ka.

You can also ask help from the office of the Mayor. May mga list sila ng job opportunities for local employment, ask for a recommendation na rin. Siguro makakuha ka man ng work, yung maliit lang muna kasi hindi pa complete medical record mo e.

Better focus on starting small lang muna than aim for a big job na fake naman ang docs mo. Mahirap na. Isipin mo pag na regular ka na sa good paying job, biglang malalaman ng HR na fake pala yung docs mo, materminate ka pa for falsification. May mga staff ang HR who does that kind of BI (background investigation).

Also, kung active member ka ng church or community niyo, baka sa kanila makahanap ka ng employment or recommendation na hindi kinakailangan ng medical clearance.

Good luck Sis. If I think of other ways/ideas, I'll let you know. Basta remain faithful kay Lord.

Birth Control / Re: All about Injectables
« on: July 02, 2019, 02:51:50 pm »
In my experience po, after I decided to stop injectable, nagpa consult ako sa Family Planning counselor. Dahil ang tagal magbalik ng cycle ko, I was taught Basal Body Temperature or BBT, a natural family planning method to determine your safe and non-safe days.
Ask your OB kung pwede ka na bang mag start ng pill kahit hindi pa nagbalik ang regular period mo. Just tell her when your last shot was.

Kids With Special Needs / Re: autism spectrum disorder
« on: July 02, 2019, 01:16:48 pm »
ASD is a lifelong condition po. "Wala na sa spectrum" Could mean that hindi naman malalim yung developmental problem ng bata and it was rectified with therapy or the child and parents learned how to easily control his behavior na, thus tapos na yung therapy or intervention. There is still a possibility na mag regress ang bata and if that happens, you need to visit your Dev Ped again.
I suggest you consult your Pediatrician first. Siya ang makakapagsabi kung talagang delayed or normal lang yung delay ng development for the child's age. She will also be the one to say if you really need to see a Dev Ped.
Yes, mahirap magpaschedule and if I may suggest again, call different Dev Peds to get the soonest schedule regardless kung saan and location niya.

« on: May 01, 2019, 03:21:40 pm »
KUng tungkiol sa private pre-school ang tinatanong ninyo mom ejd, iba-iba po kasi ang pagka-categorize nila. Merong iba Nursery-Kinder1-Kinder2-Prep. Meron ding Level1-Level2, up to level 4. I even heard of zoo animals as pre-school levels bees, pups, cubs.

So mommy Lenny is right. Sa school ng anak niyo na Nursery-Kinder1-Kinder2-Prep ang pagka-classify, yes, Prep is higher than Kinder 2 po. However, there are kids na kahit Kinder 2 ang natapos, lumalaktaw ng prep. Grade 1 na agad for as long as they meet the qualified age.

@NilaMahirap ma determine kung kelan balik ng period after stopping injectable, more so to determine your fertile days.
First, consult your OB kung pwede ka nang mag pills kahit hindi ka pa dinadatnan. Nakakapag regulate kasing flow ang pills. Ipakita niyo yung huling PT niyo na negative kasi she has to be sure. She would say on how to take the pills to make the artificial hormones work for you to induce menstruation.
She might also recommend TVS ultrasound to see kung padating na period niyo, and that and if you really are not pregnant, then she will prescribe a hormonal pill para mag flow.
Please see your OB kasi madaming maling info ang nagkalat sa internet. Trust your doctor.

Breastfeeding / Re: pwede pa ba uminom si baby ko ng breastmilk?
« on: May 01, 2019, 03:01:17 pm »
Hi Ana. Are you still lactating? If so, yes, best pa rin ang breastmilk. I breastfed my bunso hanggang 3 & 1/2 years old siya. I know of others na mas matagal.

@Sophie
Ang bilang kasing doctor is from the 1st day of your last period, hindi from the time of intercourse.

Hello Mommy Queen Pineapple. We once saw a child psychologist and that's when we were referred to a Developmental Pediatrician kasi sila ang mas nakakaalam kapag may developmental delay ang bata. You may opt to see another Dev Ped, but I won't advise a child psychologist for your son's case. My opinion po (note I'm not an expert) your Dev Ped did not say kung mild or kung nasaan siya sa spectrum because it's too early to tell. We went through the same. My son has to undergo OT and Speech and see the Dev Ped every 6 months para makita ang progress at difficulties niya, and by then masasabi na ng Dev Ped mo ang specific weaknesses and strengths niya.
ASD is not about lahi or kung sino ang nagalaga and don't be hard on yourself na kasi hindi mo lubos na nasubaybayan o naalagaan. There are people who were just born that way like people who have curly hair, different eye color or skin tone. Wala pong abnormality ang bata. He is just born different.
