School Hunting / Re: Pre schools in marikina
« on: March 11, 2014, 05:39:47 pm »
any feedback on pathfinder?
nakakainis, feeling ko tuloy sobra late na kame maghahanap ng school since malapit na magbakasyon. hindi na tuloy kame makaka observe ng ongoing classes. we'll try to go tomorrow sa Mothergoose and PrepEd. sana ok sa PrepEd since taga marikina heights lang kame and medyo malayo na ang Mothergoose sa amin.

Toilet Training and Diapering Essentials / Re: Cost of diapers
« on: August 30, 2013, 10:50:07 am »
for those mommies using disposable diapers, why not try using cloth diapers? hindi po ako nagbebenta ha. sayang nga kasi lately ko lang sya nadiscover, with our second child na. with our panganay, we use huggies. then i stumbled upon this facebook page Modern Cloth Nappying Pinays. yung second baby ko is now exclusively using cloth diapers. nagcompute ako. our toddler who is now 30 months old consumed 30k worth od disposable diapers. pero ngayon, yung 2 month old ko, no more disposable diapers. we use cloth diapers which i bought for 250 per piece. i bought 20 pieces which is enough until her toddler years. imaging, from 30k, more or less 6k lang nagastos ko for my 2nd child. wala lang. just sharing.

Getting Pregnant / Re: All About PHILHEALTH
« on: August 16, 2013, 08:32:12 am »
tanung ko lang, kapag cs ba kasama na dun sa 19k yung newborn care package or for reimbursement pa yung 1750 na newborn care package? dun kasi sa first baby namin may pinadala pa na check samin as reimbursement eh. thanks.

hello mommies. i gave birth under Dra Nucum last June 8 sa VT Maternity Hospital. 60k less philhealth inabot namin, private room for 3 days. kasama na yung hearing test, newborn screening and BCG ni baby. nakakatuwa kasi upon discharge may inabot sya sa amin na cd, pictures pala ni baby na kuha ng hospital staff, tapos may picture frame pa na para kay baby. i really like her kasi maalaga sa patient. =)

Hi sis, I gave birth last June 8 through CS. total bill ko is 60k lang, minus the philhealth na yun.

Labor and Child Birth / Re: 2nd pregnancy after CS
« on: May 23, 2013, 01:29:15 pm »
it depends kung ilan years ang gap ng pregnancy mo. sam tayo ng case. induced kasi yung first pregnancy ko, tapos na-stuck na sa 5cm, kaya emergency cs din ako. now im 8 months pregnant with our second child. 2 years, 5 months na yung panganay ko. sabi ng ob ko pwede naman daw itry magnormal, kaso syempre may risks. i opted to have another cs na lang which is schedules on june 18. parang natrauma ko dun sa induced labor ko sa panganay ko. saka on the safe side na din.

^ i think yung healing ng tahi ay depende sa tao. ako kasi keloid former so expected talaga na hindi maganda pag nagheal, unless gamitan ng gamot for scar prevention. kung sa cut naman, mas matagal magheal ang bikini cut kasi iba yung direction ng cut, kumbaga against dun sa line ng mucle. first time ko din kay drs nucum so i don't know kung panu yung tahi niya. what i said were just my perspective as a nurse. =)

9
yes sis, kay dra nucum ako. possible cs ako kasi cs yung una ko and 2 years pa lang ang pagitan. hindi kasi sya yung ob ko sa first baby namin so not sure kung ok sya mag bikini cut.

Hi sis,
range lang yun, depends pa din sa room na kukunin nyo. naconfine ako dun mga 3 weeks ago kasi kulang daw yung amniotic fluid ko. yung room rates nila is as follows
ward -700
semi private - 1200
private - 1500
suite 2200
yung ward is 6 lang and patients, yung semiprivate, 3 patients, kaso nung naconfine ako wala pa tv, ilalagay pa lang daw, so dun n lang kame sa private. nice yung mga room nila. btw, yung semiprivate, walang meals na kasama.
check up ko ulit this saturday. update kita kung magkano talag yung quote sa amin.  ;)

out of topic na. hehe. anyway, kung libre naman at maganda effect sa kanya, why not continue giving her the same milk.   ;D

my son is now 27 months. i stopped breastfeeding when he was 23months kasi may kasunod na. when i was breastfeeding, i tried na -mixed-feeding sya pero nahirapan kame kasi ayaw niya talaga ng formula. good thing when we started weaning him at 23 months, ang bilis lang ng transition niya. first we tried nido 1+. peo ayaw niya, sobra konti n naiinom niya. we switched to Lactum 1-3. so far nakakaubos sya ng 3-4 oz bottles of milk per day. good for 2 weeks lang din yung isang lata.
problema din namin yung appetite niya. dati kasi kahit ano isubo mo kakainin, pero when he turned 2 years old, parang nag-umpisa na mamili. though normal pa naman yung weight niya for his age (he's currently 13.5 kg), our pedia recommended na ibahin yung vitamins niya. since last month he is taking appebon kid. medyo lumalakas na sya kumain lately.

sis misis_gh,
sino ob mo? ako si Dra. Nucum. ang quote niya sakin nasa 45-55k  for CS all-in, at least 3 days stay yun sa hospital. parang mataas yung quote sayo for NSD?

hi sis,
i think lahat naman ng stay at home moms naeexperience yung feeling na worthless sila. i stopped working almost 2 years ago when i got pregnant. just when i was thinking na siguro pwede na ulit ako magwork, i got pregnant with our second.  :P
advice ko lang sayo sis, do something for yourself. kelangan may me-time ka paminsan minsan. yan din ang sinasabi ko sa sarili ko. sa totoo lang kasi minsan feeling ko "nakakabobo" na yung araw araw ka nasa bahay. walang intellectual challenge kasi puro housework lang ang ginagawa mo, dagdag pa yung fact na ang baba ng tingin sayo ng ibang tao. i am a licensed nurse pero i would rather see my children grow at tlagang maatutukan ang paglaki nila. tama si sis MommyGreysi777, minsan lang sila bata. and i don't want to have any regrets pag lumaki na sila.

just the other day i told my hubby that i want to learn how to bake, kahit yung mga cookies lang. maaaliw na ko, pwede pa maging sideline in the future.

also, remember na hindi lahat ng babae kaya maging stay at home mom. you have to really think hard and set your priorities, kids or career. dapat decided ka kung ano yung pipiliin mo kasi may sacrifices yan na kasama. if you choose your career, it can bring you financial independence and self-fulfillment, butyou can't be there for your kids 24/7 anymore and vice versa. dapat wholehearted ka, kasi pag hindi, makocompromise lang yung choice mo.
