Money / Re: All About Mutual Fund
« on: October 22, 2013, 06:31:34 pm »
I just started investing sa mutual funds.  FAMI ang pinili ko, it's a part of Metrobank.  Kung meron pa akong maisasave, I also want to to open sa Sunlife and sa Philam.  I've done some research.  Ito ang best mutual funds in terms of performance.  Pero marami pa ring magaganda.  Sabi ng mga financial expert, here and abroad, maganda ngayon mag invest sa Philippines.   ;)

Money / Re: 'Trade' secrets on saving from SP moms
« on: October 22, 2013, 06:16:14 pm »
Thank you for the tips!  I've been reading on Francisco Colayco's books, advice and forums.  I have also been watching ANC Money Matters (ata yun).  This year I have started opening a savings account for my baby and a mutual funds.  This coming December with the 13th month and our paluwagans sa office, I am planning to open another mutual funds account.  Here are some saving tips I am happily practicing now:
For baby's clothes:  I have been receiving old clothes from my friends and families.  Mga pinaglumaan ng baby girl nila.  So far, magaganda at maayos pa naman ang bigay nila.  Pati shoes, puro bigay.  For utilies:  Nakatipid kami, kasi nagpakabit na kami ng Maynilad.  It's way cheaper than our deep well.  When going out:  I make sure that we eat in the house before we go out para busog na at hindi na kailangan kumain sa fast food or restaurants.  When watching cinemas:  Nakakakuha kami ng free cinema tickets. Sa trabaho:  May rice cooker kami sa office so I would just bring rice over and cook it.  I share also with my officemates. I just buy ulam from a trusted jollijeep. Ito pa lang yung naiisip ko.  Marami pa kaso I need to tend to my daughter na.  till next time mga mommies!  ;D

Hi mommy sangolko!  I've been researching about this business pa rin. I asked around na.  My friend checked out the permits needed, ayaw ng DSWD daw nito kapag meron nang drop in center sa lugar na pagpapatayuan.  Di ko maintindihan kung bakit ganun.  Hayst...I will update you mga mommies kapag meron ako ulit info.

Money / Re: Your Monthly Budget
« on: October 22, 2013, 05:59:53 pm »
Hi mga mommies!  Thank you sa mga info ninyo.  Medyo nagbago na ulit ang budget namin:
Church:  7k (tithes)
Savings:  4k (Mutual funds and savings account)
Yaya:  4k
Utilities: 3-5k (pag summer mas mataas ang Meralco bill)
Grocery: 6-8k
Recreational: 2-4k
Baon for hubby and me:  8k-10k (depende kung tipid mode kami pag hindi, mas mataas pa din  :()

Rough estimate is around 40k gastos namin monthly.  Parang ang laki masyado...hay I want to make the savings bigger and some things smaller, like recreation or utilities.   :P

Toilet Training and Diapering Essentials / Re: All about potty training
« on: October 22, 2013, 05:35:24 pm »
I am so happy today!  Finally my daughter is using her potty na.  What I did was talk to her about using the toilet and potty as much as possible.  After about a week, I started talking to her that I will not put diaper on her anymore and that she has to tell me if she needs to pupu or wiwi.  I stopped putting her diaper and then letting her go wiwi or pupu sa house.  After awhile, she started telling me na if she needs to go wiwi or pupu. And the funny thing is, she will hold it, until she is sitting down on the toilet or the potty.  Hay, mahabang tyagaan lang especially she made a lot of mess all over the house.  Pero worth it.  Now, may diaper lang sya if we are going outside or sleeping. I don't know how to do that though.  :)

Hi mommies!  My daughter is also getting her vaccines from JACOB'S LADDER.  They have 3 branches:  Las Pinas (near Times Village/ BF Resort/ Perpetual University), Cavite (Robinsons Palapala) and Manila in Ermita.  After cavassing for vaccine prices, ito yung cheapest na nakita ko.

Masaya Maghugas Ng Kamay! Moms And Their Kids Show Us How It's Done

Hi mommies!  I just want to inform you about the HFMD disease spreading right now in some parts of Manila and Cavite.  My 2 year old got it from ( I suspect) when we went out to the mall.  This disease can be easily spread through kissing, sneezing, etc.  Be careful if you are going out with your little ones.  Make sure that they don't touch anything dirty or at least always disinfect their hands.  Here are some info about it.

    Sore throat
    Feeling of being unwell (malaise)
Painful, red, blister-like lesions on the tongue, gums and inside of the cheeks
A red rash, without itching but sometimes with blistering, on the palms, soles and sometimes the buttocks
    Irritability in infants and toddlers
    Loss of appetite
In 2010 Kris Aquino and her kids got this. It is highly contagious.  To prevent this:
Hand, foot, and mouth disease is spread from person to person through nose and throat secretions (such as saliva, sputum, or nasal mucus), blister fluid, or stool of infected persons. You can lower your risk of being infected by

Washing your hands often with soap and water
Disinfecting dirty surfaces and soiled items
Avoiding close contact such as kissing, hugging, or sharing eating utensils or cups with infected persons
Balitaan niyo ko mga mommies if you have any info or thoughts about this disease.

Toilet Training and Diapering Essentials / Re: All about potty training

Thank you mommies for your advice.  Gagawin ko yan sa baby.  She's already 2 and she is not yet trained.  Minsan she would use the potty, but this is not a regular event.  May times na gusto niya sa diapers pa rin siya wee we and pupu.

Wow!

Marami akong natutunan.  However, I am very upset about my Pigeon teats that I bought. As for the Pigeon bottles, BPA naman siya and so far ok siya. Any advise is welcome.  Thanks!

Looking for a yaya din. Pinaka mahalaga ang #1 and #2.

Yaya Solutions / Re: Nagtatagal ba mga yaya/maid ninyo?
« on: August 12, 2013, 07:37:00 pm »

« on: August 12, 2013, 07:28:48 pm »
Tama mga mommies!  Today is my first experience na magpaalis na ng yaya. I'm sure God KNOWS and SEES everything.  yang mga abusadong kasambahay at yaya, they will get what they deserve if they keep doing what they are doing, good or bad!!!  >:(
