Travel / Re: airplane ride / flying with children / infant
« on: May 07, 2014, 01:37:00 am »
I flew in my 17 days old (minimum requirement to sa cebupacific) son from Iloilo to Manila January of 2013. I had 2 baby bags, 3 extremely heavy luggage and a baby.

I was expecting for special assistance from Zest Air crew but it was to no avail. That time kasi, medyo malayo pa ni-lang ng plane so we had to descend the airport and walk going to the plane. Just image how hard it was.

I fed my baby when we were about to land and take off para mabawasan ang air pressure. He obliged. hahaha!

The In-Laws / Chismosa na MIL
« on: May 07, 2014, 12:49:36 am »

I'm planning to give my mom something this Mother's Day but not my MIL. Naiinis talaga ako, sobrang chismosa.

Im a very involved hubby.

If you don't trust your OB's prescription, you can freely get a 2nd opinion or wag mong inumin. No one knows best than someone who know best. All the best!

Magpa-alaga ho kayo sa OB.

Primrose ata yun yung parang generic name niya. Try checking with other botika baka meron.

My wife gave birth na po nung April 29 sa isang lyign-in clinic dito sa Makati. Wala rin kami pera so we had no choice but to opt of NSD. Nakakatakot kasi baka biglang emergency CS at wala kaming maigasto. Normal sya, awa ng dyos.

With my persuasion and with medical intervention, here's what my wife did (I hope you would find this helpful):

1. You may take Profamol 3x/day for 1 week pag nag 37 weeks ka na. It should help soften your cervix. Tag 15 pesos lang to. Pwede OTC.

Mag hapong window shopping. Started at 38th week.

3. Have sex with hubby (as advised by our OB). May content ang semen that helps soften the cervix.

4. Exercise. Nag kegels exercises ang asawa ko everyday for 50 repetitions. Squat for 30-35 reps.

5. Magtrabaho sa bahay. Wag higa ng higa. Gumalaw-galaw ka.

Pag nasa panahon na that you are about to deliver, always keep this in mind (ginawa rin to ng asawa ko):

1. You pray to God.

2. Wala akong pera pang CS. Kailangan normal to. Normal what it takes, dapat normal to.

Refer to #2.

4. Umure nga tama. Sumonod sa instructions ng magpapaanak. Give it your best. Refer to #2.

-Hope this helps

Labor and Child Birth / Re: Lying in clinics vs. Hospitals
« on: April 30, 2014, 10:05:42 pm »
'da bes' ang lying in na napanganakan ng asawa ko 2 days ako. very maalaga ang mga midwife and 'di silang mukhang pera. Magaling sila mag motivate during delivery day and the price is very very affordable. Philhealth accredited sila and we paid 2k only.

Di ka talaga nila pababayaan. Did I mention na first baby naming to? Sobrang hirap ang asawa ko but with their help, nakayanan niya.

Baby Names / Re: babys' with long name - post here!
« on: April 17, 2014, 12:31:28 am »
Had my baby been a girl, I would have named her, "Jirene Yvette Ribbonnette V. Gonzales" hahaha!

But it's a boy, I planned to name him, "Judd Emmanuel V. Gonzales"

HAHAHA!

My name is Jireh. People mispronounce my name as, "Jerry, Jereh, Jeerah and many more" But it's pronounced as "Jhai-Rah"

MY son's name is Ezekiel Janco, people mispronounced his second name is, "John-co, Jang-co, Han-ko, Hang-ko etc." But it's actually pronounced as "Yan-ko" hahaha!

Wife is Due on May 6, 2014. All through out her pregnancy, private OB kami nagpapa check up and we back have an alternative check up sa isang lying in clinic dito sa pembo Makati. My wife is a Makati resident and OSMAK is an alternative if at any chance she'd get an emergency CS kasi libre and we are facing some financial constraint as of the moment.. 37w 3d, 1 cm dilated na rin si misis. This is very helpful. Thank you!
