Hi Mommies/Daddies,

Anyone of you familiar with Chinkee and Nove Tan's book Happy Wife Happy Life?

The book is so helpful for people who are just starting a family or who's about to start a family, it tackles a lot of issues from communication, financial and intimacy.

I want to look for mommies/daddies who has the same passion of reading books about marriage and family.

Let's share our thoughts about the books we've read.

Special Occassions / help: Civil Wedding for June Prep!

Hellow Mommies!

I am here again,this time I am planning for a civil wedding on June 01, 2013 for me and of course my soon to be "legal" husband

Gusto ko sana ng simple yet memorable wedding, but I don't know where to start I will be the 1st person to get married kasi sa amin magkakapatid, at sa mga pinsang babae. So wala ako mapagtanungan talaga kung paano magplan ng wedding, we don't have a budget naman to hire a "wedding organizer".

1. What are the requirements for a civil wedding. (I am turning 24 on May and my partner is turning 25 on September)?
2. Our wedding will be on June 01, 2013, we choose this because we asked for a Feng Shui expert to hav.e it checked for us. It's a Saturday and will it be possible for a judge to have it held here at our house?
3. Do I need to get a "Wedding Package" from a Caterer? or can we just have their "Standard Package"?

What are the pros and cons of it?

4. I need a budget friendly photographer who can offer a photo coverage with free pre-nup shoot?

Can someone recommend one?

5. How does a civil wedding reception work? What program should I be preparing?

Sorry if there are too many questions, I just don't know where to start and where could I possibly get a good or best answer on this matter.

Food / Burger Steak in White Sauce :)

Hello mommies, I just want to share my recipe of Burger Steak in White Sauce with Pineapples!

1kl of Ground Pork/Beef
1 Can of Pineapple Tidbits/Chunck/Sliced (Depends on how you like pineapples)
2 All Purpose Cream or Nestle Cream
Salt
Pepper
Butter
Sugar

1. Marinate the Ground Pork/Beef with Salt and Pepper (Pwede din Magic Sarap) for atleast 30 mins.
2. Melt some butter on a non-stick pan the fry the burger patties until golden brown.
3.When all the patties are done, set them aside.
4.Melt some butter again on a sauce pan, then add your pineapple including the juice, and then the cream mix well then add some sugar to taste.
5.Add the patties on the white sauce, then you are done and it's ready to be served.

Hello mommies, I would like to know if how many mommies are feeding their babies with PROMINA, my baby personally likes PROMINA than CERELAC because of it's sweet taste and variety of flavors. (I tasted every single flavor before serving it to my baby). Aside from the fact that PROMINA is cheaper than CERELAC.

Party Planning: Birthdays and Baptism / 1st Birthday Preparations for November

Hello Mommies, I am a newbie here and I want to ask your opinion about my son's 1st birthday party. We just had him baptized last May 19 and now I am planning for his birthday. Only my hubby is working so I worked on a very tight budget last time,and as I was reading the topics here I saw that most mommies spent 30k as much as 80k for their babies birthday. Now, I was wondering kung kakayanin kaya ng less than 30k na magpaparty? we have an open space naman dito sa compound namin, kaso according to a friend who is a party planner di advisable cause it might rain daw..BTW, November 03 ang birthday ni baby ko. I have a theme already and I was able to find suppliers na din for the food, cake,pinata,party hats etc. My theme is Pocoyo World pala!
