I find it hard to look for other school since malayo kami sa Manila.

Kids With Special Needs / SPED class or regular school?
« on: September 26, 2011, 05:22:25 pm »
Dinala ko daughter ko sa dev' pedia last week due to her speech delay, na diagnosed s'ya na may mild autism. As a mother it's too painful for me na malaman na may ganun ang anak ko. All those years i thought na speech delayed lang talaga kasi she can highly functioned, mas independent pa nga s'ya sa ate n'ya, wala akong makitang other delayed sa kanya except sa language. I didn't know na 'yung pag tip toe pala n'ya is a red flag, pati 'yung pag kinakausap s'ya na may ginagawa ayaw mag eye contact. The doctor calmed me and told me na it doesn't matter kung autism o hinde, ang improtante daw is 'yung makakatulong sa kanya para mas ma develop pa esp. 'yung speech & social behavior n'ya.  My daughter needs OT & ST  at he suggested na i enroll na sa school. Dahil sa nalito ako that time di ko na tanong kung SPED class ba or regular class/school since wala namang problem sa kanya accademically higly learner naman s'ya, di rin s'ya nag wawala, as in mabait ang anak ko of course may time na umiiyak pag may gusto but not to the extent na mag wawala.  Ano kaya maganda mga sis?? By the way after a week ko pa ma kukuha ang official result ng mga test n'ya. :'(
