14 hours labor. Nagvi videoke kami ni hubby about 2 hours then we watched tv after. my bag of water broke nearly 11pm na so since my first baby, I wanted to be at the hospital na.

text text pa kami ni doc na baka may leak lang but i texted her, gush of water na. ayun past 12 midnight nasa hospital na kami ni hubby. tagal pa check if labor na nga ako. then labor room, lots of interns, docs, etc. checking on my bp, oxygen, baby movement, etc. mas antok pa sila sa kin.

dami na dumating labor room, punta operating room. i guess antay ko lang doc ko, nasa convention pa he he. after 14 hours, wala pa 3cm dilation so CS din. thank God ok naman baby and I.

Thanks to all SP moms and dads here, not only for their advise and suggestions to problems and tricky situations but to quirky subjects and answers that make me smile and giggle! Definitely quite addictive to post but for those who really take the time to read the whole thread and make incisive, to the point suggestions, kudos to you all!

Baby Names / Re: my baby's name is "ALWAYS" mispronounced!
« on: July 15, 2010, 03:35:54 pm »
wow I totally can relate to this. what i do is I correct the mispronounciation almost all the time. but let it slide if the person is not a usual contact. even relatives can't always pronounce her name right. then again, chill out to all! we do love our kids' unique names - that's for sure.

Hi. I agree with the moms here. Add lang din na mo pinapahirapan your kid but you bestowed upon her a unique name that she should be proud of! my baby's name is not long, 2 names, but it is unique. now pa lang, di na ma spell and mabigkas ng mga tao he he. but those who "get" her name thinks it's cute. important observation earlier post about not having similar names, especially sa NBI (those with pending cases), court clearances, hold departure orders. she will thank you for it later when time comes!

nan hw. i wanted to breastfeed my baby agad but nauna na sya formula feeding. but when she was brought to me, and for two weeks after, i breastfed her. then mixed feeding na din.

wow, hirap naman nito, top 10 things! pwede ba 2 na lang he he.

i will try, here goes:

10) super malambing
9)   drives me to badminton games and waits for me
8)   cooks when i make lambing for him to cook
7)   trusts me to edit his writings
6)   gets my advise on some things
5)   charming
4)   magaling maglinis ng bahay! super
3)   plays with our baby and makes her laugh
2)   respectful sa parents ko and does errands for them
1)   understands me when i'm moody (di naman parati, promise)

I don't eat pork and beef dishes. sometimes, di maiwasan, may halo kinain. but if i have to choose, i don't eat them, also other meat, goat, veal, etc. just seems heavy on the stomach

shampoo, currently using pantene and palmolive, but i want to go back to clear, from time to time,

conditioner, sunsilk

soap - papaya for face, body shop shower gel for body (yummy smell!)

Baby Development and Milestones / Re: baby cologne
« on: July 13, 2010, 01:34:50 pm »
hi, haven't tried baby cologne on my baby. i just love her natural scent, kahit pawis na pawis na sa kalalakad! but just like moms here, i have tried zwitzal blue and truly, ang bango! mild scents lang din for me, if i were to try any with my baby. baka maka dry pa kasi ng skin

Baby Development and Milestones / Re: ear pierce for baby
« on: July 12, 2010, 02:17:48 pm »
my baby had her ears pierced sa pedia, using a gun and diretso na earrings. gumalaw si baby, napataas tuloy butas. better to have ear piercing earlier than 3 months or before baby moves fast na. my baby was 7 months, sabay din vaccines, magalaw and super lakas iyak, kaawa. now di rin sya wear earrings coz she removes them.

round trip ticket to melbourne, australia for my baby and me! plus pocket money for the trip, hotel accommodation vouchers and various tour and restaurant vouchers na din. also, lots of passive income, a retirement fund, educational fund for my kid and enough cash for spending

magilas is a play on my name, as it has 4 letters of my name. also, magilas means swift, agile, dexterous as I hope to be. and magilas can mean medyo scary but top-notch (hmm?) - kagilagilalas!

Sleep Training / Re: ok lang ba natutulog si baby nakadapa?
« on: July 08, 2010, 03:36:56 pm »
ok for babies who can roll over to sleep na naka dapa - which is about 6 months or older. but it might not be a good idea for those younger since they may have trouble breathing, this is what is said in baby books.

my baby punas lang din sa gabi kasi most of the time nasa bahay lang naman. plus i think rub out lang natural skin moisture if palagi ligo. she sleeps well naman.

Baby Development and Milestones / Re: Theme Song nyo ni Baby???
« on: July 08, 2010, 02:37:49 pm »
parang naiiyak naman ako sa thread na to. naalala ko kasi my baby. am in the office and she's with the yaya. mas umiiyak pa siya if yaya gets out of her sight.

i composed a little ditty na i like to sing to her na fast, like a nursery rhyme. my baby likes to dance, move her body a lot and she's graceful so any dance tune i sing is our "favorite" theme song
