Food / Re: fried chicken recipe
« on: October 15, 2011, 02:11:44 am »
I tried the Max's Chicken Recipe but mine's like this;

1 whole chicken, rubbed with salt and pepper (I tried using patis but the chicken meat tasted bland) leave for about an hour or if you have an ample time, REFRIGERATE (not freeze  ;D) it overnight.

Steam the chicken, when done, drain. You can pat dry the chicken but be careful not to rubbed off the pepper and salt along with the chicken skin.

Deep fry. This will only take a few minutes to brown. When you think you have the brown-fried you wanted you can remove it from the fryer already.

For the sauce:

In low heat, combine catsup and a small can of pineapple juice. Simmer. Serve with your chicken.

My son's Halloween costumes

2009- Handsewn. I was starting to sew this costume but my electric sewing machine got broken, no choice but to make it by hand the following day was the Halloween party he was attending.

Caveman- dress, palo-palo, pouch bag, poncho (not seen in the pic), arms & legs wrap, wig, animal tooth necklace

2010- I forgot the character's name. My son was the one who researched on the costume. I had the shirt and the pants made. The fabric was cheap and the sewing labor was 400 for both garments. I made the sash, arms/legs wrap, orange boncho (not seen), pouch, cane and head dress (not seen)

This year, if he still wants to join the trick or treat, I told him to wear this costume he used during his school program, medyo mahal kasi nagastos sayang naman.

but, hindi ba ito bawal mommies?  baka masita kami kung ito ipasuot ko kawawa naman anak ko baka mapahiya.

Mommies, I just thought I would share update on my son who's not talking yet a few motnhs ago. At present he is able to express himself already. He started using words we believed he has heard us using.

He's using phrases with two-three words like "akin yan" "sino yan", "juice please", "wala po" and few other phrases pa.

Last night I was eating green mangoes, he got one and said "asim to"  :o and made a sour face. Wow, i swear I didn't taught him to say that. Naisip ko totoo nga that when kids are not able to talk yet still we have to encourage them by talking to them para may new words na mai-input sa kanila. Going back, he also dipped the mango in salt and said "ay madami!". I got really excited I woke up hubby to tell him the news. Last month lang hindi ganito na everyday may new words siyang sinasabi.

That said, we really need to wait and at the mean time make encouragements through conversing and not using baby talk.

I would still suggest to be watchful with signs for language delay/s like, being not responsive when called in their names, doesn't able to point to thing/s to pertain to something they want, and when given or told something does not able to understand, things like that.

I wish your babies would start to talk na rin, kahit noisy lagi dito sa bahay dahil sa baby ko okay lang. ;D

dear I just hope and pray you are not a minor doing PMS. If you are that worried then don't do it. Contraceptives do not guarantee that you will not get pregnant but NOT DOING it will help you sleep at night.

2 months right after giving birth we were able to have our kids' baptisms. Just enough time for me to recover, buntis palang ako I prepared every thing already for the baptism and were able to save for that too. Though some told me masama pero di kasi ako naniniwala sa mga pamahiin, prayers made my plan go well.

Last night when hubby and I were preparing the ids to bed, napansin niyang may 2 spot (1 big and 1 small) sa wall namin na tuklap yong paint. He asked me, I pointed to him our little boy na busy naglalaro with Elmo.

Hubby:  softly "Ben, ikaw ba nag-alis ng paint dito sa wall"
Ben: looked at me, mukhang nanghihingi na ng rescue, he was avoiding his daddy's eyes, paikot-ikot lang ang mga mata ::)
Hubby: "Ben,.." he asked the little boy again
Ben: "No"
Hubby: "No? Eh sino?"
Ben: "Emo!" sabay turo sa walang malay na si Elmo
Me: I was trying not to giggle "Ben, not nice ang mag-lie, sino may gawa nito? Si Ben or si Elmo?"
Ben: "Emo yan" (pointing to the big spot), "Ben to" pointing to the small spot

:o our little liar, divided his fault into two and he's only 2 and half.

Q: If you have 500k to spend only and not to save, what would you do selfishly for yourself?

A: I'll buy gold jewelry definitely without diamonds. In a few months time its worth would increase then I'll have additional thousands more to spend again.  ;D

Q: What's the FUNNIEST thing (one only) you did as a mom?

My househelp who's 6 months pregnant (bumalik after 2 years at heto buntis siya) dyan sa Sta.Ana Hospital manganganak. It took her 4x bago siya makapagpa-check up kasi sa dami ng gustong manganak sa ospital na yon dinagsa talaga ng mga buntis. She had to leave the house at 4am para pumila tapos by 6am uwi na dito, di na raw siya umabot sa number. Tyagan lang po ang need. Infairness, when I went to that hospital yong nagpa-check up tong si buntis ko, malinis, maganda at malamig.

If you want to give birth sa Sta. Ana Hospital sabi, you need to have your monthly check-ups there. The initial check up ang madugo kasi you have to be there as early as 3am. Pagkatapos ng initial check-up the nurses or OB will schedule you for your succeeding really have to be punctual para di malagpasan ang number niyo or slot. Marami kasing waiting.

Wala pong babayaran but you have to buy the supplies na gagamitin upon delivery eto po siguro yong mga gloves, syringe,..I told my househelp here to buy the KY jelly rin kasi sinabi ko di to ipoprovide ng mga doctors, masakit kapag i_IE ng walang jelly.

She's only 18 and her first pregnancy with her first boyfriend na naglaho ng bigla. Malaking savings sa kanya ang hospital na yan para makaipon siya ng pambinyag ni baby.

Mahaba kesa sa usual ang tailbone ko kaya habang lumalaki ang tiyan ko bumibigat to and sitting is getting harder too. Sumasayad yong tailbone and pagtayo masakit talaga. So everywhere and anywhere may dala akong throw pillow na manipis lang naman para may extra padding yong uupuan ko. Even when we have to ride a jeep hubby has to put the extra padding. Kaya pag-aalis ako I have a big bag to put a bottle of water, baon kong mga food at my 'pads'.

If she's an immigration officer then she works for the government. Next time she tells you that sis sabihin mo you also "have a relative sa civil service" and that you can also have her ousted from her work for such behavior and threats. Ewan ko nalang kung di matakot yon. This kind of behavior from government employees are unacceptable.

17. i do not like loud people by the way,  :-\

Loud, soft, hard, smooth...doesn't matter to me now. I know people come into our lives one way or another for some reason, big or small. Every person whether  a new friend, acquaintance, kachika, kabatian is a blessing to me.
