Inigo:Mommy,ayaw Alis...

Inigo:Mommy, ate office,mommy haws..

My 6yo gradeschooler came home with a sad face on his reminder notebook for 2 consecutive days, when I asked him why did teacher put sad faces on his notebook this is what my son had to say " Mom I guess teacher doesn't know how to draw happy face, only sad face!"

We were at the hospital for my baby's check up. I was carrying my baby (11 months old) when she saw another toddler. My baby was smiling at the other kid.

Me: Baby, say hello to him.

My Baby placed his right hand on his ear and said, "Ho" - meaning hello..

My husband laughed because my baby was mimicking as if he was talking to someone on the phone.

as a mom, i always taught gabbie to say the magic words "please and thank u"

so one morning before going to work...

me: bye, gabbie! momy is going to work now. you stay with ate and ninang ah.
gabbie: mommy, up! up! up! (she means, she want me to carry her)
me: no, im going to the ofis now.. as i open the door my little gabbie say this...
gabbie: mommy, up please...

***so i didnt care if i'll be late or not! what matters is i spent more time with my one year and 6mos old baby (she's now 2yrs old)

To God be the glory!  :) :) :)

I have a one year old son, di pa siya nakakapagsalita masyado ng straight words, of course, baby pa din, hehe pero nakakatuwa siya kasi his favorite show Charlie and the Numbers, everytime makikita niya si one, he raises his index finger ( yung one) and says, Bah! meaning, one, there's one. Also, kapag watch siya ng other shows sa baby tv, nakangiti siya, naiintindihan niya pinapanood.

Also yung commercial nina Jessie Mendiola and Enrique Gil, yung head and shoulders, kapag nagsabi na ng "head and shoulders" yung kamay niya lalagay niya sa head at shoulders, at yung oreo, kapag nag twist, lick and dunk, aact uli siya, yung kamay niya, nagcclap (since di pa siya marunong mag twist) then lick, lalagay sa bibig and dunk, alisin na sa bibig. :)

Nasa packaging pa yung pasta and nakita ni baby yung picture ng spaghetti. he quickly grabbed the pasta package and gave it to MIL and said, "Teti! Teti! teti! Nam-nam! Ah! Dean" ( Spaghetti! Spaghetti! Spaghetti! yummy! Give some to dean) then he rubbed his hands on his stomach.  ;D

This is just recently, with my 4.5y.o daughter...

Me: Bhe, kunin mo na yung paper mo.

Lyre: Kunin??

It went on and on. My daughter obviously made fun of me. Haha.. Oh well..

share ko to...

one weekend i was busy grading papers i told Ate Yancy to just play or read or do some art works.  sabi niya magte teacher daw sya, so she unfolded her small table and got one plastic kiddie chair while i was on the rubber mat reading my students' papers.

Yancy (addressing imaginary students) You are all noisy.  You, CJ, transfer her in front (then raps her Tako - billiard stick - on her table for emphasis). You, Paul go to the back and keep quiet class.

Then hindi ko matiis kasi she looked so serious and stern, i pipped in,

Part 2:  when Ate Yancy was about 4-5, she wrote a big 100+200 in a bond paper:

Yancy: Tatay, anong sagot dito?
Hubby:  300!
Yancy (Turning to me): Tama ba yun nanay?

ang tawa ko talaga nun.  i wrote this in one of my diaries and i intend to share it either during Ate Yancy's debut or during her wedding reception hahaha.

Sophie's turn:

My Nanay addressing my daughter Sophie, 2 years old:  When Ate Inah (my niece) combs your hair, you say "salamat ate"
Sophie:  AMAT SHA DYOS.

Kagabi lang while watching tv. Nasa kwarto kami kasama sister ko.

My sister: Mag uumpisa na yung Aso ni San Roque
Baby ko: Ato ni tanyote (with smile pa)
My sister: Anong sayote?

Me: Opo, may ginagawa ako eh
Baby ko: Mama ayaw mo kong pakinggan HA? Ayaw mo akong pakinggan?

Akala mo matanda pag magsalita ;D

sa school, during Math:
Teacher Anne: Pia, what do you get if you place these two frogs right here... (demonstrating the transfer) over here?
Pia: The two frogs? on the left side? Teacher Anne?
TA: Yes Pia...
Pia: You place it here...? with the four frogs on your right side Teacher Anne?
TA: Yes Pia. Do you know the answer?
Pia: Group of Frogs... or Family. There's Mommy Frog oh. Six na sila.  :)

i love this story sis. super bright ni baby, at talagang ipilit ba ang gusto? si teacher naman kasi dapat ang tanong, how many frogs na when you put them all together? eh sabi niya....what do you get? oo nga naman, a family of frogs.  ::)

si baby naman...

we arrived in my friend's house and baby saw some kids (girls) playing nearest to my friend's house. he said, mommy, i want to play. sabi ko, later, after we put our things down, you can play with those girls (kasi nearest the house nga). so immediately after, he went out and approached the two girls..

tito: o, bakit?
baby:  tito, can i have a paper and a pen?
tito: (gave the pen and paper, and asked why)
baby: bad sila....(grrr)
tito: (proceeded to do some things, thereafter he was approached by my son)
baby: tito, is this how you spell, "no girls allowed?"

when he looked at the paper, he drew, two girls, with big "xxxxxx" all around the paper.

baby:  tito, come on, let's go outside. i want to put this outside the door.
tito: natatawa.
baby: i want them to see it. they're not allowed here. they're bad girls (kasi di sya isinali sa laro nila)... ;D

sayang, i wasn't able to take a picture of the drawing but it's really funny, kasi wala naman syang nasulat na kahit anong letter, except for big "xxxx".. 8)

Thank You sis sweet&spice for liking my post.
There's a lot of these stories specially  nung nag start na sya mag school.  Hindi ko lang talaga mahabol, and tend to forget some na.  But this one is her recent act:

during their educational fieldtrip:

Planetarium SM Mall of Asia: Many pre-school begun to cry nung mag start na mag narrate yung film.
Pia : Mommy, why are they crying?
Me:  it's because they're scared of the voice.
Pia:  and the ugly stars!
Pia to her seatmates (standing in front of them):  Children, wag na kayo iyak. Later, we'll have beautiful stars. Red. Tonight. OK? Lez go. (sabay upo)

So kelangan, beautiful and red ang stars.

Then one mommy asked me, "what is her milk?" Hahaha...  ;D

^aba....pwedeng commercial model ng milk ha?  8) dapat sinabi mo, it's not the milk...it's the genes! hehe.  ;D ;D ;D

ako, i tend to forget din some lines of baby, it's not funny, but i remember this one:

after school, he went home and i asked about school. he said he's mad because teacher was wrong and not listening to him..
mom:  why, what did she say?
baby: she said you're not a doctor, you're a lawyer.
baby:  teacher said, my titas are doctors, and my mom is a lawyer. you are not a doctor, only a lawyer. (clearly he was upset, with all the pouting pa).
me:   why do you say that mommy is a doctor?
baby:  because you take care of me, when i'm sick. you give me medicines and put the thermometer.. you help me get well.

oo nga naman....doctors make children well when they're sick. they take care.

I have been motivating Lila for 2 weeks since aalis na ako for Doha at the end of the month to work  :'( I always tell her If I get the chance na Mama will work. It's ok eh? I'll be working far far away. Sometimes I would get a happy yes! Buy toys Ok  ;D sometimes a confused NO Way mama!  >:(  Then the other night kinausap ko na naman sya bago matulog. This time together with hubby

Me: Lei it's ok ha? Mama will work. Far far away.
She just look at me and then her baba...
Baba: It's ok ha baby. Baba muna aalaga sa iyo. You and me together.

Gusto ko maiyak because hindi talaga sya kumikibo. She just keeps on staring at me and then her baba.

Me: Mama has to work muna. Baba will take care of you while mama is working.
Lila: OK!
Then she look at her baba and touched her baba's face then said "Bait ka ha!"

Haha!  ;D Napatawa kami ni hubby. Tawa rin sya.
