Hi Concerned Aunt,

The Ponsetti Method which is non-invasive (or minimally invasive) ,can still work for older children although not guaranteed.  You may want to try Dr. Aguilar of St. Lukes.   May mga natulungan na syang older kids as you can see in this video and article:

to all mommies and daddies here,
You are all the best moms and dads! I know it is hard to see your child being sick and you gave them your best. Being the best parent and supporting them all the way. Two thumbs up.

to jephil,
You can backread the thread, just want to share their inputs: as I have read from redisol(please feel free to correct me if I am wrong), 600 prof fee ni dr. aguilar from st. lukes; sa pgh naman, from personal experience(though from an accident) first thing to do is to secure a blue card. you may get them from opd if you'll be there early. before po, that was may 2009, hindi na po pipila kapag disabled, priority nila. don't know if same pa din policies nila. other mom's may answer your query regarding this.

We'll pray for your babies' speedy recovery. God bless to all.

No idea about club hand pero sa clubfeet kasi she charges P3.5k/foot and you'll have to order a Ponseti Shoes and brace which cost around P18k+.   You'll have to replace the shoes every few months pa kaya medyo malaki talaga ang gastos.

Pero for me if you can afford the treatment go for it kasi it's very much worth it.

My daughter Allana Marie Apelado has an inborn clubfoot and she has gone
treatment and surgery at Philippine Orthopedic Center childrens clinic until now
with the utmost care of doctors assigned to her and Dra. Julyn Aguilar,
consultant of childrens clinic and we're glad we bought her pair of Ponsetti
shoes size 3 last November 2010 but now after six months of wearing the shoes,
it doesn't fit anymore because her feet is now bigger. Dr. Aguilar required us
to buy Ponsetti shoes with with the size of 5. And i told her that i cannot buy
it right now because i do not have enough money yetand we are still paying the
current pair of shoes that we loan at 10% interest monthly, Dr. Aguilar have
pity on me she fit the used ponsetti shoes at the clinic but unfortunately, none
has fitted to my daughter, and she recommended to seek help to you because
according to her you are helping to les fortunate like us. We badly wanted to
continue the treatment but we cannot pursue because of our situation. My husband
Allan Apelado is a tricycle driver, and I, Maryjane Apelado is just a plain
housewife, taking care of our child. I am nothing at your kind heart please help
us to have the ponsetti shoes size 5, you are the last resort of ours,
God bless us all!

Sincerely Yours
Maryjane Apelado

Hi Joy Joy,

I think Dra is not accepting HMO. Pero you can ask for a receipt para sa reimbursement sa HMO niya. That's what we do and alam ko ganun din ang karamihan sa mga patients niya.
