KD's pedia advised that we already start reading books to her. Yaya does this during the day when we are in the office. Yaya reads Brainy Baby books with KD. I want to start a bedtime routine with KD but I do not know what book will be good and that will interest her before she actually gets to sleep. Need your help moms and sisses. Thanks! :)

Ako din, I want to start reading to my son. My dad used to read to me when I was young e, kahit paulit ulit na minsan gawa gawa nalang sya ng kwento  :D Kaya I grew up to be a voracious reader, lahat binabasa ko. The problem with my son is that he is very interested with books, he wants to touch it, he wants to flip it, he wants to taste it, he wants to bite it, lahat na gusto nyang gawin dun. Pano naman ako makakaread  ??? And he definitely will not sleep if he will see a book. Napaka interesting for him, he will sit sa bed and flip the pages kahit baliktad. Haaaay pano kaya to  ???

^ Naku same here. KD has this favorite page pa, yung page ng letter Q tapos may picture ng queen. Lagi niya kinikiss yung queen haha I don't know why. I also do not know if it's too early pa para magkaroon na kami ng story telling time. I need to visit the bookstore muna. I am thinking of books na may pop outs ba tawag dun? Baka it will get here attention talaga. I or we won't know unless we try.

@ 2mos. pa lang he already knows how to flip the pages... we bought him yun small board books... from then on until now na 1 year old na siya mas prefer pa niya mag books kesa mag play ng toys mabilis siya magsawa kapag toys... ;)
actually medyo mahirap po itrain ang babies to have bedtime routines esp. kung instead na antukin sya sa books eh lalo pa syang ma-stimulate.
i have read some books po about reading for babies kelangan lang talaga ng patience mga mommy... even while playing c baby continuous lang kayo magread sa kanya ng stories eventually mala like din niya na magread kayo together... like what i did sa son ko... kapag bedtime naman i make sure na quiet un room at dim light saka dapat un relax at calm c baby before kami magread ng books niya kasi kapag hyper sya he won't lie beside me while reading tapos dapat soft un voice ko para antukin sya while i massage his forehead ayun siguro wala pang 5 minutes tulog na c baby...
un po eh sa amin ng son ko... i-try nyo po mga mommies kung effective din sa inyo actually ang bedtime routine is trial and error... so it really depends what routine suits your baby... :D

one thing pa po pala mga mmmies wala po akong specific na book na nireread sa son ko... actually he is the one who chooses what book we will going to read together. kahit un Alphabet na books niya paulit ulit lang naman ni-reread. and also wala pong best age para magstart kayo magread kay baby siguro depende din talaga sa readiness ni baby... patience lan po talaga kelangan... :D

i started bedtime reading routine when my daughter is 9 mos old; napansin ko kase na favorite niya puppet book niya. as of now memorize ko na laman ng book. sometimes even i don't have the book nirerecite ko na lang sa kanya; basta marinig na niya "lumpy.... " tatahimik na siya :D

As you can see, my son's interest is not in reading, but he do love books ;D

I recommend this kind of book, meron syang sounds, when you read and you encounter some words you can push the button on the side corresponding to the word and it will say the word and the sound  :) And its in English and Spanish!  ;)
