First day of school kanina sa DLA (nursery). Nadagdagan sila ng time slot, so nahati yung afternoon class - which is a good thing. Kasi 18 na lang sila sa klase (originally around 25 eh). :)

hi mommies medyo late n yata reply ko anyway at least this can also be a reference for others in the future, I'm a parent of one of the SSI student and hindi po ako nanghihinayang although mahal nga po talaga tuition but for me sulit naman po. They already prove how good they are as a school, Statefields School is the first school here in Molino ( as far as I know po, please correct me if I'm wrong) to be PAASCU accredited to think big school and may mga pangalan lang talaga ang na-aaccredit dito. And just last year they just won in EETA (Excellence in Educational Transformation Awards) (http://www.philstar.com/campus/school-spirit/2013/05/09/939935/schools-showcase-21st-century-learning-cited-2nd-eeta). Hehe baka sabihin nyo naman po bias ako masyado infairness to other schools I know iba iba naman po kasi sila ng approach in terms of teaching and the things they offer. I just want to share what I know...

hello mga mommies...help naman.my son just turned 3yrs old last july. pinasok ko sya for kinder 1 sa GK1 World school, yung malapit lang sa clubhouse ng lancaster. however, for the past 2 months medyo hindi ako satisfied kc parang hindi naman nag-improve yung anak ko and part from that more than 30 sila sa classroom. i'm a working mom and medyo kapos ako sa oras to monitor my son. talagang umaasa ako sa mga teachers na matulungan sya. im planning to move him out pero wala pa akong nahahanap na school.

sino po sainyo ang naka-enroll ang anak sa St Edward? kumusta naman po teaching nila dun at ilang oras ang pasok nla? ano mga activities nla?

meron pa bang ibang school na malapit sa Lancaster? please help.

Hello there fellow Mommies! First time ko po sa chat ng SP.. But I'm glad there's a site like this..

My litlle boy is turning 3 on November. He's telling us (me & his dad) na gusto na niya magschool. We're from Camella Springville in Molino. My son's cousins are studying (elementary) in Montessori Dei San Lorenzo. We know the owner of the school but per her recommendation, since my son is still 2 & 9 mos. pa lang, its advisable to start schooling him by 3.. Which by then is next school year pa.

While waiting for the formal opening of a regular school, I want to enroll my son sana in a play school just to give him a feel of what its like to be in a class with a different crowd and sort of a school environment.

I got to read the older post from this thread but sa dami ng nabasa ko I got lost with the recommendations of what school/play school is ok to try.

Can someone give me good suggestions? Would really appreciate your responses.

Thanks Mommies!

Dear mommies,

We currently live here in Pasig but will be moving to Imus, Cavite late next year. My daughter is turning 2 on January '14 but i already wanted to consider schools for her for budget purposes.

Anyway, what i really wanted for her is a school not just focused on the academics, but also on values. I wanted my kid to grow up "nice, kind and humble".

Currently i have 3 schools in mind:

1. International British Academy
Tuition = 62K + 10K + 5K
-quite expensive but i liked them because they focus on the overall development of the kid.
-10-15mins travel from home

2. Elizabeth Seton School
Tuition = 57-60K
-traditional teaching. based on my readings, it seems they focus only on academics.
- 5-10mins away from home

3. Statefields School
Tuition = 47K
-i like them too because their multiple intelligence program will develop the overall personality of the kid. (it might be the cheaper version of IBA  ;D but still not sure of the quality of education)
- 30mins away from home.

would really appreciate feedbacks on these schools, esp for moms with kids already studying in any of the 3.

Thanks a lot  :) ;D

Hi Concern Citizen here.. I just want to warn people not to enroll with SOUTHDALE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL (SOUTHDALE INCLUSIVE SCHOOL, INC.)  Here are the list why;

1. The CR facilities are not properly cleaned and toilet bowls are clogged.

2. There is no school nurse, no first aid kit. One mother has to rush her kid in the hospital right away because of that.

3. There is no librarian.  The librarian they hired was transferred to sell in their canteen.

4. Teachers are not trained for pre-schoolers.  She always shout and scare children to make them quite.

5. There are college students there (believe or not @_@ ) but they are always outside of their classrooms because they have no teachers.

6. There are CCTV cameras but we don't know if its working because when some children got hurt and we ask what happen, the teacher aid and the teacher does not know (They can look at the CCTV right???)

7. School staff and Teachers always resigns after a couple of months. The school year is not yet over yet there were already four (4) different teachers.  That is why when one teacher resigned immediately they have get teachers not trained to handle pre-schoolers (parang teacher sa public elementary, kasi lagi sumisigaw at nanakot).

8. There is no facility for good waiting area.  Merong tent na ginagamit sa sementeryo, so mababad kayo sa initan.

I am very frustrated sa school na to  >:(  :( , my husband told me to stop going there pero nanghihinayangan ako kasi ilang months na lang.  So i bent my frustration sa site na to. Kasi dito ako nag search ng school nuon.

Sincerly,

CC
