Hi, I'm new here and I just wanted to ask you guys for your opinion. You see I have a teenage daughter (incoming college freshman), she has been with her boyfriend for over a year now. He was her classmate during senior high school. The guy is nice and polite and comes from a good family. They both did good at school, so it doesn't bother me that much that my daughter already have a bf since they became an inspiration to each other. And watching them, I can tell that they are more like bestfriends than boyfriend and girlfriend. Lately, the guy has stopped coming to our house to visit her, when I asked my daughter about it, she just said that he is busy with a workshop he enrolled in for the summer, but to me it doesn't look like it was all there is. Whenever I ask about which college or which course her bf was taking, my daughter only responded with "I don't know, I never asked him he hasn't been online lately."
I was kind of curious of what's really happening with their relationship so one time she left her phone unattended, I read some of their convo in facebook. I saw that the last time he replied to her was on the 30th of April, and ever since, my daughter has been sending him messages, just saying his and i love yous or good nights, almost everyday but the guy hasn't replied to any of her messages. He never texted or called too. I know the guy is alright since if he wasn't, we'd be hearing something from his mom. I think the guy wants to break up with her, and I really wanted to tell this to my daughter so she'd stopped hoping that he'll reply to her messages sometime. But I don't know how to tell her, or if I should even tell her. I don't want to be the one to break her heart, but it's breaking my heart to see that's she's still hoping that everything will be alright with them. Please guys, what should I do.
