hi mommies, share ko lang po, yun son ko completely potty trained na sya even sa gabi. actually 1 month ko lang sya tnrain... almost a month before ng 2nd birthday niya... 3 days before his bday ntrain ko na sya sa gabi... i tried yun nabasa ko sa babycenter na potty training in 3 days.... i just followed the instructions like diaper-free all day as in wala syang briefs or pants na suot... of course accidents can really happened pero just like other moms said tyagaan lang talaga... and it worked for us...

sa umaga pagkagising niya tatanggalin na namin un diaper niya buong araw na yun...  kapag aalis kami papaihiin ko muna sya before kami umalis...

sa gabi nilalagyan ko sya ng underpads just in case na di ako magising kasi ang signal ko sa kanya na nawiwiwi na sya kapag umiyak na sya at di na mapakali... papatayuin ko na sya sa potty niya beside our bed...

hi mommy_vhee..good afternoon i would like to ask if you can send me yung instructions on how to pottytrain your baby in 3 days...hope it works...bale i'm a working mom kc pero i see to it na kapag nasa house ako evrytime ala pasok sa umaga we go agad sa potty niya end every time na nakikita ko na my is making ire i rushed him agad sa big potty para dun cia poop. actually success naman kami...kaya lang kapag c yaya na alaga di niya agad nadadala sa CR pagbangon ng bed para pee...please send it thru my e-mail che_elamparo@yahoo.com...thank you very much in advance.

we started to introduce the potty to our eldest daughter when she was around 9 months. we used to put her in the potty as soon as she wakes up. there were some successful tries, but most of the time she would poop in her diaper even before we can get her to sit in the potty. it was frustrating for me and hubby.

then i read from a parenting book, that it is counterproductive forcing a child to be potty-trained before they're ready, physically (when they have learned bladder control) and emotionally. the book linked some behavioral problems to the child's bad experience when they were being potty trained. and as to some parents who said that they have trained babies as early as 3 months or so, the book said that it was not the babies that were potty trained, but the parents. the term the book used was parent-trained. the parent merely recognized the elimination (pooping and peeing) patterns of their child and they learned to anticipate when their babies need to poop or pee.

upon reading that book, me and hubby talked about not pressuring our baby to use the potty. we let her poop in her diapers for some time until she turned 13 months. we started introducing her to potty again and we also have a toilet trainer (the one that you put in adult toilet) where we sit her every morning as soon as she wakes up. i agree with all the mommies here at really takes a lot of patience when it comes to toilet-training our children. the good thing is that my hubby took it to himself to take charge, since i got pregnant with our second daughter. he was the one who would bring her to the bathroom and wait until she poops. sometimes she would poop, sometimes not. but when she does, we praise her and clap our hands as a positive reinforcement.

now that she's 16 months old, i'm proud to say that our patience have paid off. she now tell us when she wants to go by calling our attention, pointing to her diaper and the direction of the bathroom.  next step is training her to be diaper-free on day time by the time she turns 2.

My son is now 2-1/2 yrs old. Yesterday lang kami nag-start sa potty training niya. We're trying Potty Training in 3 days from www.babycenter.com (thanks to mommy_vhee for sharing). So far ok naman. Wala sya suot diaper or briefs maghapon, sa gabi lang pag matutulog na. Sa potty na sya nag-poop. Yung wiwi may accidents pa din pero di ko sya pinapagalitan. I keep on reminding him na sa CR sya mag-wiwi or sabihin sa akin kung nawiwiwi na sya.

May I ask na din. How do I teach him the proper way ng pag-wiwi? Minsan kasi he would go to his potty, wiwiwi pero nakaupo. Pag naman dinala ko sya sa CR di sya mag-wiwi tapos maya-maya sa floor na sa living room nag-wiwi.

hi mich_tatsdwayne... i'm happy na nakapag-start na kayo ni baby sa potty training... si baby nun 1st day namin magpotty train nakaupo din siya then we tried naman ng nakatayo i show him how he should do it, pero don't force him to do it kung ayaw niya let him be... eventually matuto din sya mas ok kung you'll get a little help from daddy to show him how boys pee... just make sure na if he did it right you will give him praises so that he will know that he is doing well so he will not lose interest in potty training... patience lang sis... good luck sa training nyo ni baby...

^Thanks, mommy_vhee. Nabasa ko din sa www.babycenter.com na ok lang for now kahit nakaupo muna sya mag-pee and pag na-master na niya ang potty/toilet training tsaka na lang turuan ng proper way ng pag-pee. Sinabi ko na kay hubby na sya na magturo sa anak namin. Hehe.

Problema lang sa anak ko pag may suot na shorts or brief, nag-pee pa din sya dun. Akala niya kasi parang diaper lang 'yun. Like nung nagpunta kami sa playground nag-pee pa din sya sa shorts niya after 30 minutes na nandun kami (may baon naman ako extra shorts niya). Di niya pa din sinasabi sa akin kung nawiwiwi na sya. Dito kasi sa bahay bare bottom sya kaya if he feels the need na mag-pee uupo na sya sa potty niya. Hay! Patience at tyaga talaga. Tsaka ayaw niya mag-dede na walang suot na brief. Hehe. Pero after niya magdede hubad ulit ang brief.

haha ganun din baby ko nun sis kapag nakabriefs sya naiihian niya un briefs niya (feeling niya siguro diaper) kaya nga nun nag-nap sya nun 1st day namin bare bottom pa din sya...  sa floor ko sya pinatulog (pero may sapin naman) try namin kung di sya iihi and thank god success naman di sya umihi for 2hrs pero before ko sya pinatulog pinawiwi ko muna sya.

hay tyagaan lang sis at least di ba may improvement naman si baby... baby ko nga sa gabi minsan naiihi pa din syempre basa din kami kasi sa gitna namin sya sleep minsan kasi di sya nagigising kapag naiihi na sya or baka kami lang ni hubby ang di naggising ok na yan sis mas mahirap magtrain ng gabi kaya before mo sya itrain for the night ipamaster mo muna kay baby yun all day diaper free para madali na lang yun sa gabi magtrain... kasi puyatan talaga hahaha

just an update mga fellow smarties, my little girl discovered the fun of flushing the toilet. kaya ayun, every morning as soon as she wakes up and after our cuddle time, she would ask her dad to bring her to the toilet. she poops so she can have the privilege to push the toilet flush button.

these past days, twice a day na lang halos sya mag palit ng diaper dahil hindi na sya nagpopoo sa diaper niya. yey for us dahil mas tipid, especially that we now have a newborn.

hi mga mommies, just want to share my Arella. she's 2yrs and 2mos na.. she already informing us kung magwiwi sya or pupu. but sa gabi hindi pa.  kasi working mom ako and ganun din si hubby so hindi namin alam kung paano namin mattrain na matuto na rin sya na wag magdiaper sa gabi. i mean alam pala namin yung ways based sa advise din ng parents. kasi hirap lang kami kasi may pasok ng early sa office.  pero patience lang mga mommy. kasi si arella ko nag start sya ng talagang laging nag wiwi sa panty. siguro before sya mag 2 nun nung hindi n namin sya dinadiaper during day time.  then ayun natuto naman kaagad mdalas nga kpag nakadiaper siya kapag may lakad kami  pag nawiwi sya sasabihin niya wiwi ayaw niya sa diaper..papaalis niya pa. pero sometimes sa diaper din naman.. iba iba eh.

unti unti naman matutunan din ng mga precious one natin.. super tygaan nga lang talaga.  yung next target namin is wag n rin sya mag diaper sana sa gabi... kasi super puyatan talaga for sure.

sis ganyan din si baby kapag umaalis kami nakapull ups sya pero ayaw din niya umihi sa diaper marunong na magpigil ng ihi niya so we need to look for rest room pa saka lang sya iihi...

sinabi mo pa sis super puyatan talaga c baby minsan every 3 hours bumabangon ako para paihiin sya pero kapag di ako nagising expect mo na na basa kami lahat hehe... kaya kung desidido ka talaga matuto si baby kelangan ng matinding determinasyon mga mommies...

wahhhhh oo nga ganon nga daw? nakuuu hindi pa namin kaya talaga itrain sya sa gabi    plus iyakin pa masyado ang baby ko. siguro idedelay na lang namin pagtrain sa kanya sa gabi. medyo pahirapan kasi talaga.  lalo pa ako hirap akong gumawa ng tulog pag nagising na...   

hi mga sis ask ko lang sana if ano mas ok bilhin to potty train yun diretso na na nilalagay sa toilet bowl for todlers? or need ko mag buy ng potty chair?

kasi iniisip ko gusto kasi ng baby ko pumasok sa CR and want to step up and down sa stairs naman. so instead of potty chair yun nilalagay nalang directly sa toilet bowl then put small stool for him to go up sa bowl with assistance syempre baka kasi mas maenganyo sya mag pupu or wiwi dun. unlike sa chair kasi he dont sit kahit ano chair e.. gusto sa floor hehe

hi mistiqshannen, based on experience for my 2y/o baby mas preferred ko 'yung potty seat.  or should I say mas preferred niya pala hehe!  kasi I have potty training chair ba 'yun basta gift lang sa kanya 'yun nung sister ko. pero hindi niya type tapos madalas pa 'yung water pinaghuhugas ng kamay...wahhh!!! kaya super saglit lang namin siya ginamit.  'yung potty seat convenient siyang gamitin kasi iuupo lang namin siya then ayun mabilis naman nasanay.  nung una takot talaga siya umupo.. pero nung nakita niya sa photo kasi 'yung nabili namin may picture ng bata na nakaupo s bowl na may potty seat.. ayun ginagaya niya. tapos sa una hindi siya nagsasabi pa.. dinadala lang namin siya madalas sa cr... you just need to know the timing let say every hour lalo kapag uminom siya ng maraming tubig or milk.. ganon tapos eventually masasanay na siya.  siya na mismo mag aaya to go to the cr.  and on my case she's already removing her undies tapos takbo siya sa cr.  she will knock on the door kasi hindi niya ba masyadong abot 'yung door knob.

meron pong mga potty na 3-in-1 or 4-in-1. potty seat sya tapos pag-disassembled na ay pwedeng ilagay yung lid sa toilet bowl, yung isang part ng potty seat ay ladder, at yung pinaka-body ng potty seat ay ladder din. kaya pwedeng gamitin ng mga anak natin habang baby pa hanggang sa matuto na sila gumamit ng CR natin 

marami ka rin makikita na different designs and colors sa mall...  just consider to buy those that are not slippery. of course, for the safety of our babies

     my 4 year old son still using nappy at night time..no problem na siya sa araw and in making poo..we tried almost a month not to wear him a nappy,we let him wee before he goes to sleep and waking him up every two hours to make him wee..so sa isang gabi mga three times talaga namin siya nagigising para umihi kahit nakaihi na siya before matulog..nag worry kami ni hubby na baka di maganda sa kanya yong laging ginigising kasi naiistorbo tulog niya.kung di kasi namin magising every two hours,mababasa talaga bed namin.kaya we decided na pasuotan na lang ulit ng nappy sa gabi kesa naman maistorbo tulog niya.tama kaya ginawa namin? na hintayin na lang namin na kusa siyang aayaw sa nappy? ibang bata kasi once umihi na before matulog di na iihi until sa paggising sa uamaga..bakit kaya ganyan son ko..ang dami niya pa ring maihi sa gabi?thanks mommies!
