My son is not potty trained at 2 yet. He usually calls our attention after he's done with the pee and/or poop. We are reminding him to tell us if he needs to go to the bathroom. he plays with his potty trainer seat but he doesn't want to sit on it. during day time we don't use diapers but underwears instead, yun lg, we have cleaning up to do.  we hope to get him to be potty-trained soon.

My daughter naman since 1 year old tinatry ko na sya ipotty train. Pero hnd pa sya marunong so i decided na pag 2 years old na sya. As in ginagalaw niya whole body niya na parang may epilepsy hehe. So napagod na ako. When she turned 2 year and 9 months old, bigla nalang one day hinubad niya na yung diaper niya at nagwee wee sa potty niya! Dun ko nalaman na siguro yung time na sinusubukan ko sya ipotty train, she was not ready yet. :)

update....lara is now 2 and half, i just remove her diaper then nagsabi na siya na she wants to poop and wee, so tipid na kami sa diaper...so happy :) talagang kids will learn in their own time, hindi pwede pilitin pag ayaw pa nila..

@jem.sexy super agree sis, kaya kahit yung iba na mas bata pa natuto mag use ng potty, hindi ko pa rin pnressure si baby,we use to try once in awhile pero pag sinabi niya na she doesnt like na, hindi ko talaga siya pinipilit..buti na lang natuto na din :)

@QueGavan, dont worry sis it will happen kung kelan ready na si baby

i agree, the child will learn when he's ready. wag pilitin, dadating talaga yung time na ready na sila at sila na mismo ang gusto gumamit ng potty.

DON'T COMPARE with other kids his age or even those younger than him. wag mainggit at wag-mafrustrate. your child will learn in his own time. relax!

My baby is already two last june 18.  She tells me "wiwi" and "pupu" after she has done her deed.  I'm potty training her now, but all she does is play with her potty.  She doesn't want to sit on it.  di ko naman ma sundan because I am a working mom and di ko alam kung ok si yaya sa pag potty train.  Gusto ko sana, nandun din ako.   :(

@Morefun: I am a working mom too. My son was potty trained when he was around 23 months, then after 5 months naman pati gabi na di sya nagwiwi sa bed. Bigla na lang. It took us a week lang then okay na. Yaya lang din niya nagtrain sa kanya. Disposies ba si baby? You can try na sana un mga cloth potty training pants/diapers para mafeel niya un wetness. Or sabi mo nga alam na niya un wiwi at poo poo. Ibig lang sabihin malapit na sya matuto :)

So bilinan mo na lang si yaya. Don't worry :)

we started potty training our bunso (now 5 years old) nung medjo pansin na namin ang pattern niya ng pag wee-wee at poo-poo AND she started walking. mga 11 months cia nun.

our daughter was using cloth diapers kaya siguro mabilis din na potty train. she was fully potty trained before 18months old.

And when my kid attended nursery at 3yrs & 2mos, nkakaloka kase cia lang ang potty trained while her classmates na 4 yrs old na mga nkadiapers pa rin. hehe.

TIPS:

1. proven na mabilis ma-potty train ang bata kung exclusively cloth diapered kase they realize what their body is doing at nababasa sila kapag nag-wi-weewee unlike using disposables where the baby always feels dry kaya di nila alam na nag-wiwi na pala sila.

2. when you notice na ma-wi-wee-wee na si baby, like making sipol faces (ganyan kase un anak ko) or di mapinta mukha a parang umiire kase na-pu-poops, bring her to the potty para lang ma-associate na dun cia dapat magbabawas. para mkasanayan kung baga.

3. study or take note of the pattern when your baby wees or poops. kay mimay, alam na namin na 30mins to 1 hour after she drinks milk, iihi na yan. bring her to the potty when you notice na maiihi na cia. kung nakakapgsalita na at nkakaintindi, associate the deed with a name. like "wee-wee" for peeing or "poopsy" for bowel movement. you can ask your kid what she is about to do. association is the key. reward or praise your kid if she does it right.

4. there will always be times na may accidents pa rin. please do not scold your child. kung ang adults nga may learning curve, yung baby pa kaya. so if your kid does it right, reward or praise system pa rin to build a positive experience in potty training.

I landed here kasi  I saw an 8 month old baby being trained already so panic ako hehe kasi 20 months na anak ko so bale maaga pa pala or pwede ko na din try. How does the training pants works?

^

i would suggest that you use the cloth ones or regular na panty/brief para ma-feel ni baby ang wetness.
using pulls ups na diaper type (disposables) defeats the purpose of potty training dahil technically nka-diaper lang cia na garterized.

ma-co-confuse ang bata dahil you are telling him na:
you have to pull down your pants to pee BUT it is okay if you dont because your diapies will absorb it anyway.  :P

Na try ko na kasi minsan while she's waiting for her turn to bathe. Di ba ang dalas nila magwiwi? Dapat pala bantay sarado kasi anak ko pag me water nilalaro pa.
