our baby will be toilet trained pag 7-month old na sya, of course, courtesy of my nanay...di ko alam if pano gawin eh...mother ko na lang bahala kz working mom din ako basta ang alam ko magaling nanay ko mag toilet trained kz sya rin nagturo sa niece ko, below 1 year old, nappy free na ang niece ko at di  smell panghi hauz nila kz pag na-wewe na sya...turo agad niya potty niya at may sked na sya sa popo...kaya 100% ako na matuto rin agad baby ko with the help of my super best nanay...actually, ngayon, tinuturuan na sya ng sked ng popo ng mader ko, tuwing AM before maligo, himas-himas tummy at sabay sabi "o-o-o-" hehe  ;D, pag marunong na sya, buy na ko ng toilet seat...ipapatong lang sa bowl, tama lang ang laki ng butas na di mahuhulog pwet ni baby...you can buy sa SM dept store, baby section.

I am toilet training my son. so far, successful naman.

baby jana is nearly 7-month old na...we already bought potty for her...to train her...pinapaupo-upo muna namin sya don as if chair niya para masanay...then tuwing morning, my mother removes her diaper at paupuin sya sa potty...himas-himas tyan in clockwise motion to enduce bowel movement at wewe...well, unsuccessful pa pero sabi ni mader, it takes time and patience...thanks to my nanay, she's always there for our jana...

btw. my son is using the toilet seat mismo for his poo-poo. i bought this seat cover at SM infant section na ipapatong mo na lang sa toilet nating mga adults para hindi lumusot ang pwet nila. Pag 1yr. old and up, pwede niyo i-try dito para hindi na mag wash ng potty trainer...hehe.

at first, i consider toilet seat para di messy at wash ng potty kaya lang she's too young pa for toilet seat sabi ng mother ko plus the fact na magpa-practice pa lang sya at malikot, mahirap na baka mabitawan or madulas...kaya tyaga na lang muna, saka na lang pag sanay na sya sa potty..

as what mommy sweetvy said, pag 1 year old - up i-try na kz suitable to use for babies/toddler na..

im training my son na rin, he is 9months old, sabi ng mom ko maganda simulan yung nakakupo n pero not yet walking so they won't be able to leave their potty seats... no choice ba!! hehe. si makoi kasi would really have a face pag nagiire n siya, red face and lukot ang mukha.. hehe... and may routine na... introduce lang muna pero wag pilitin kung ayaw at umiiyak baka matrauma lang yung baby...

savings if they finally say goodbye to their nappies...

our baby jana is using her potty trainer na...ang sked niya kasing mag-poops, mga 20 minutes after breakfast kaya ginagawa namin, after breakfast pinapa-upo na namin sya sa potty at himas-himas her tummy in circular motion...successful  ;)...kaya lang while himas-himas, dapat may libangan din sya, like animal books para di sya maiinip otherwise magri-reklamo na sya...

i envy those moms who have potty trained their children because being a working mom and who stays at the office until 8pm, i honestly dont know how to start. my son just turned 2 and every weekend i'm teaching him how to use the toilet pero mukhang it wont work.

any tips po for a working mom like me would be greatly appreciated.
thanks.

i'm a working mom din. ako kasi since girl yung sa kin, what i did was everytime na wiwi ako, sumasama siya sa kin sa CR. so, i guess don siya natuto how to pee at the CR. since yung sa yo is boy, i guess dapat ang makita niya pag pee is yung daddy niya. just an opinion. ;D :-*

Potty training makes me crazy!
« Reply #56 on: October 10, 2008, 09:31:36 am »

Hi mommies! I bought my 11-month daughter a Safety 1st Jack Potty, cuz I thought my daughter will like it. It said kasi sa ads na may sensor yun once the baby have poops & it will reward the baby every time she succeed pn her potty with a flush pa!

We saw some signs on her kc that she's ready to be potty trained. Like squatting in one corner and concentrating! thats why i decided to buy a potty.

My problem now is, she thinks her potty is a toy! Her dad said that it cuz a fancy potty with lot of colors, lights and sound. I should have bought daw yung plain potty lang.

Anyway, everytime we tried to sit her there, pinaglalaruan niya lang yung potty. Hindi siya mapakali dun. And a lot of times na she pee on the floor in front of the potty but neversa potty. Her dad said she's smart not to pee on it, cuz u should not pee on your toy!!! Grrrrrr!!!

help! Ano ng gagawin ko? We even put the potty in the CR but still, she plays on it.

hehe how cute naman..i can imagine my baby too! well, i think that's fine for now coz she's a little bit curious and playful. wag muna naten pilitin mganda lang sis u introduced potty training to her na.. what i usually do to my 15mos daughter is i let her seat in the potty (without nappy) as she move and play around nwawala na sha talaga sa seater and pee on the floor instead :D :D again it's fine pasasaan pat matututo din sila ;D nice try muna ;)

naku mommy don't push it yet.  :o based on studies kasi marami ang disadvantages if baby is pushed into potty training. may kanya kanyang timing yan ;) my daughter who's 3 was potty trained just this July. at derecho na sa big potty kasi like your baby, she thinks it a toy talaga.

I agree with ale and iris... when i read the posts here that some of the babies were already potty trained as early as 18 months or earlier i was alarmed kc jared is already 2 yr 6 months and not yet potty trained.... :(

since am working mom, medyo naguilty ako kc hindi ko sya matutukan... so what i do is to talk to him at night na dapat matuto na sya mag pee and poo sa bowl niya (i bought him potty training chair and a potty training seat when  he was still 18 months old) and when i have the chance i assist him to do so... ;)  also i told his yaya na he's not to wear diaper whenever his at home except at bed time.

Just two months ago he told me one day mommy wee-wee ako so i rushed him to his chair where he pee and that's when he started to use his chair and at times naman sa rest room.  We still need practice and more patience pagdating sa poo2... :D  so there's really no need to pressure your kiddo to use her potty chair...  good luck! :)
