hi!! im on injectable for almost 10 years now..at first regular ang menses ko then it became once in every 2-3 months, then, later on naging once a year na lang and for 1 day lang :-\ ok lang naman sa akin, tipid sa napkin :D  and another thing nagkaroon ako ng pimples..i never had pimples when i was still single but now naexperience ko na yan especially kapag bagong inject lang..which is every 12 wks. i asked my ob if ok lang siya na ganun ko na katagal siyang gamit and she said kung wala namang grabeng side effect except for the pimples eh ok lang

hi mommyjazz,

Hello Mommy's I'm interested sa injectibles. Tinanung ko sa OB ko hindi siya favor PRO-Life kasi siya, Pwede maka hingi ng referral na OB near QC. and web site din for topics ng injectibles. My 2 boys na ako 3 and 1 year old takot na takot ako ulit mabuntis. He.He.

Hope to hear you.

Thanks

hi mommy tya991,

with me naman yung ob ko ayaw niya iligate ako kahit na 2 na kami ng husband ko ang magsign sa waiver, sabi niya bata pa raw ako and come back after 10 yrs kung gusto ko pa rin magpatubal ligation, gagawin daw niya. :-\ hindi na ako pwede magrhythm kasi kahit na naging effective siya with our first 2 hindi na with our 3rd, to think na nagbebrestfeed ako nun with my 2nd. tapos, ayaw ko magpills kasi malilimutin ako at may mga write ups na nun tungkol sa cancerous effect ng pills syempre nakakatakot...

Hi just reviving this thread since the new SP issue has a special advert from Trust - including their injectable contraceptive. Anyone here who tried this? Do you know how much it costs and did you experience any side effects?

I finally had my shot. I wanted to go for NFP sana but my period hasn't resumed yet since I'm still breastfeeding (although mixed-feeding) and I have irregular periods. I read mahirap tantiyahin ang ovulation ko and I might need an NFP expert to guide me.
My OB gave me Lyndavel and gave me a prescription for the vial so next time, my SIL (also in the medical field) can administer it on me. I learned it's only P65. I also inquired at our barangay health center, they give the same brand at P50. There are other brands for the same generic component but more expensive.
More info in Lyndavel in this site:
http://www.mimsonline.com/Page.aspx?menuid=mng&name=Lyndavel+vial&h=lyndavel
No side effect so far. Same lang ng nag pills but more convenient. Now I don't have to get up or wake up in the middle of the night in fear of missing a pill.

Thanks for the tip! Will ask my OB about it. Mura lang pala. This is so much better than pills since malilimutin na ko ngayon. :D

kailangan ko lang mag react violently!!

i paid 800 for my depo-provera shot!!

where can i get the P149 shot?

grabe! ang laki ng nasayang!! hehe!

but i really plan to have my 2nd shot thru my firend na lang na nurse. coz i have to pay for check up fee din aside from the 800 shot!!!

grabe!! naiinis ako!! i trust naman my OB pero kung may cheaper option (and i assume, effective din naman!), syempre, dun na!!

Same with what happened to me. I had my OB administer the shot and she charged me a reasonable price naman. Soon I discovered napaka mura lang pala nung lyndavel. Prof fee niya siguro. She's the one who even suggested to have someone else give me the shot next time and gave me prescription.
If you want a friend nurse to give you the next shot, better get a prescription from your OB. I don't think you can buy injectables over-the-counter lang like pills. And, get a medical cert as to when and what brand was given to you. Impt kasi yon if you'll have another OB or health office do the next shot.
