hi Gaby,

fortunately hindi naman naging ganun yung reaction ng baby ko when i started going back to work.

before having the milk in the bottle ba ok naman yung ability niya to suck your nipple? baka your baby is having a hard time sucking kaya naiinis sya

I am using medela swing breast pump now and my milk supply is somewhat decreasing! Also, my baby does not want to nurse with me anymore. nasanay b siya sa bottle kaya? i feel fustrated dahil everytime i offer my breast naiyak siya and she prefers to suck her fingers! I am a working mom so during weekends i try to offer her my breast always but she refuses. What can i do for her to nurse back with me. i also tried to nurse during the nights but still no success. please help ... i am in need desperately for some advise.

hi mommy Gaby,i think this is what they call nipple confusion.if this is the problem, try mo yung peristaltic or is it periostaltic(forgot ko na name e) nipple of pigeon.meron din ata farlin, but i'm not sure..same kc yung flexibility nun sa nipple ng mother.or,pwedeng ang problem sabi mo nga decreasing na yung milk supply mo,is mahina yung flow ng milk sayo kaya nahihirapan siya.sa bottle malakas.pag mas malakas ang flow sa bottle mas prefer niya yun(kung 3-6 mos onwards na siya).that age kc kaya na nila yung malaks na flow unlike sa newborn babies.ganun kc naging prob sakin before, maliit yung butas nung sa bottle kaya ayaw ni baby dumede dun, sakin malakas.(4mos na siya nun)...nung nag change kami ng nipples na larger yung butas(hindi yung tipong nalulunod na siya)dumede din. :)

Her feeding sessions before i started to go back to work was fine, and she even had a hard time to nurse sa nipple but eventually nasanay rin siya. But not things turned the othe way around! she prefers the bottle na but i am continuing to pump. kaso problem mukhang nahina n ang milk supply ko. Kasi full ang breast ko she still does not want to nurse. what can i do to increase my milk supply??

you can take natalac capsules,(commonly known as malunggay capsules).it can help you increase your milk supply...drinking lots of water and soup may also help....when you nurse your baby at home, try to do it when you have already relaxed yourself after a long day at work because babies can sense your stress.tendency,di sila dedede sayo..i started work yesterday,to avoid nipple confusion(since i still breastfeed my baby pero mix feeding siya ngayon)i nurse him exclusively sakin when i'm around,in the morning pagkagising, before i leave, when i go home at night, and before he goes to bed.kahit pa pag uwi ko puno pa yung milk niya at sayang lang,i nurse him sakin para mabawi niya yung formula na dinede niya since sanay siya sakin dumede for 6months exclusively.hopefully lagi siya magkaron ng nippple confusion since one month lang naman yung work ko na yun makaipon lang. :)

I use Playtex Petite Double Electric breast pump. Unfortunately it's not available here; I had to request for my best friend in the US to buy it for me and send it here. It costs $100. So far it's been okay...my baby is just two months old, and I'm pumping around 2 oz per 15-minute pump. I guess that's okay for her, for one intake.

I also have Chicco's very basic manual pump which costs P275. I use it when I'm in the mall and I'm engorged. So far the most I've pumped out of it was around 1.5 oz for 20 minutes.

I also take Natalac.

I'm going back to work next week, and I also fear of my baby not wanting to nurse with me anymore. I hope she still would. By the way I plan to breastfeed exclusively, so am bringing my electric pump to work.

i bought an electric breast pump (pigeon) pero the manual worked better. Natalac is 3x/day. Unfortunately, i started it lang after delivery.
